About this apartment rental

Modern mid century boho chic two bedroom apartment unit in a gorgeous private craftsman bungalow home built in 1910. The unit is spacious, cool and provides ample room for a cozy stay. You will find new appliances in both the bathroom and kitchen. Both bedrooms are outfitted with tempurpedic mattresses and clean linens and towels and accented with local Pendleton prints. Backyard is shared. We do have chickens in the backyard and if you like fresh eggs we are happy to drop off some off. There is a slight additional cost for pets and 5th guest. Please inquire.

We stayed for 6 nights with our 22 year old daughters and recommend Veronika’s place wholeheartedly. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood but near to some great areas to explore, good restaurants in the Alberta area, but also an easy drive into central Portland. Everything was lovely and clean, the kitchen has everything you need and more and the beds are sooooo comfortable. The garden is a joy to spend time in, lots of beautiful shrubs and flowers, a lovely space to relax and watch the hummingbird. Veronika provided fresh eggs from the chickens for breakfast and was a super host, really responsive and great to chat to about the local area. Thanks Veronika, if we come back to Portland we’ll be in touch!

The apartment itself was very nice, with new floors being recently added. Area was spacious. Suprised it was a basement apartment. Have reread the description and do not see that noted. Not the best situation for those in our group with allergies. Laundry is on site, but in a shared space that is a very cluttered storage room. Outside area is very overgrown, having to duck to avoid branches on the way to the apartment. On street parking was readily available and the location was great. Again, the space was great, just wish it had been clear it was a basement.

My parents and mother-in-law stayed here for a weekend to celebrate their granddaughter's graduation! It was perfect. I didn't think we understood the space was a basement but, it was completely as described and had everything we needed. The back patio is truly a wonderful little sanctuary. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I enjoyed our Mother's Day trip to Portland. We had plenty of space! The kitchen was nice even though we didn't use it much. The patio was adorable and the landscaping was super nice. We had a nice chat with Veronika, too. Highly recommend!

The accommodations were wonderful and it felt like home. We had room to gather together and room to spend alone, as needed. Beds were very comfortable and we slept so well. It was close to all the activities we wanted to experience. Veronica was helpful and willing to make suggestions for our stay. It was our first trip to Portland and i would definitely return to this lovely home for any future trips. I can’t say enough good things about it!

A cosy basement space. We were unable to take advantage of the outdoor patio and fire pit because of gray, sprinkly weather, but living space was enjoyable for hanging out, kitchen had everything. Location great- a 1 1/2 block walk to a good grocery story, pharmacies, and Starbucks. Host responsive and offered us fresh eggs from her chickens. Note to Host: The bathroom sink is a very slow drain. Also, moving in instructions should include directions for using the heating panels.

We had a perfectly lovely stay here! Location is amazing....close to downtown Portland, the airport and the grocery store is literally 2 blocks away. Plenty of street parking all the time. Our host was super responsive and even delivered fresh eggs for us (the chickens were AWESOME to visit every day)! The beds and pillows were super duper comfy and the place is clean and bright and really nicely decorated. I would give more stars if allowed, and I would definitely stay here again. :-)

A sweet find in a quaint Portland neighborhood. Veronika’s place was private and just perfect for a long weekend meet-up with my grown nieces. Beds were comfy, kitchen well-stocked, nice added touches everywhere, and we loved chatting with the chickens on our way in and out each day. Their eggs were yummy, too! Street parking was always available. Thanks for your great communication, Veronika!

We love the apartment! It was so peaceful and we had everything we needed. The location was within walking distance to a grocery store, parks, shopping and dining. I loved being greeted by the hosts chickens each morning and evening when we returned! So amazing to be treated with fresh eggs.

Veronica was a great host. Enjoyed her recently renovated lower level 2 BR space. Has chickens on the property that are fun to see. Veronica had fresh eggs in our place on arrival, a very nice touch. On street parking was always available.

Everything at this place was thoughtful and perfect! Fully stocked kitchen, extra pillows and blankets, a pack n play, a hair dryer, FRESH EGGS! Little details make a big difference and made the stay so lovely. The space itself is great, clean, spacious for our fam of 4, loved walking through the garden to and from the private back entrance. Veronika was also helpful, responsive, and a lovely host. This place is located close to a beautiful park (about 10 blocks?) and we enjoyed our time immensely! Looking forward to coming back someday soon.

My family and I had such a nice stay at Veronica’s peaceful retreat in the city. You walk through the garden to get to the basement apartment. The garden is beautiful with flowers and greenery. Every morning I was able to enjoy it’s beauty and practice yoga in her meditation space. The kids and I loved the chickens and fresh eggs. The apartment itself is clean and stylish. My husband was able to utilize the desk space to do some work remotely. There’s ample street parking and grocery in walking distance. We were there for July 4th and walked to a block party with amazing bbq and music. We had a wonderful stay! Thank you Veronica!

We had an excellent stay thanks to our host! There were fresh eggs in the morning and the garden was idyllic. The interior is exactly as pictured and is incredibly comfortable and cleanly! The host was great at checking in on whatever we needed! I’d recommend this place to anyone coming to Portland! The property is also situationally located by public transportation. All in all this place was a win!

We only stayed one night but the space was perfectly comfortable and we walked the neighbourhood with the dogs and then in the morning did a walk to the peninsula park rose garden (about 15 minute walk) and thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you for the amazing tasting eggs and the comfy bed! Will return!

This classic craftsman home sits on a quiet residential street in a beautiful neighborhood. The host, Veronika is delightful and has created a charmed homestead with a magical garden and chickens that greet you when you come through! The basement apt is sweet as it can be. Staying here is a true Portland experience. Loved it!

We enjoyed our stay here. My son (5) and I can for a short weekend in Portland. It's a cute little basement apartment. The kitchen was very well stocked and we enjoyed the fresh eggs for breakfast. The beds were comfortable. It was easy to find, and in a nice location to get places quickly. We'd definitely stay again.

We frequently visit family and friends in Portland. Of all the many places we’ve stayed, Veronika’s is our new fave! It’s got it all: - Super comfortable beds - Clean, attractive layout and furnishings - Big, modern bathroom with walk-in shower - Generously stocked kitchen - Quiet setting and private entry - Beautiful garden and fire pit - Close to great restaurants and bars, food pods, shopping, art, etc - Attentive and thoughtful hosts - Fresh eggs! Very clear Veronika was incredibly thoughtful in her space! The kitchen was *so well equipped* and the rest of the rental was so cozy that it was perfect for what we needed (a landing pad at the end of the day). We appreciated the attention to detail to make our stay comfortable, and Veronika was incredibly inviting. Highly recommend!

This place was perfect. It was across the River from downtown Portland (10-15 min) we received delicious farm fresh eggs from chickens at the home. Communication with the owner was receptive and attentive. Cute little sanctuary feel to the property. The two notes I would make it there is a slight ant problem in the kitchen, and the rental is located in a basement unit so there is a lot of noise overhead in the morning. Other than that, this place had everything to make our Portland stay perfect :)

My adult son and I stayed here for a week while our floors were being refinished. The apartment was very nice-well-furnished and attractive. The kitchen was well-supplied so we were easily able to cook. The host, Veronica, was very helpful, and we really enjoyed the eggs from her chickens! The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden which was just starting to bloom when we were there.

Lovely property in a wonderful neighborhood. Walking distance to shopping districts, parks, etc. Veronika was the most gracious of hosts with lots of great tips on where to go and what to see during our vacation. We really enjoyed being able to sit outside in the backyard and enjoy the fabulous weather we had while visiting Portland. Highly recommend this accommodation.
