Not only is this house as described, its location to both the sound and the beach is perfect. We made use of both. At the house we were relaxed and comfortable as we enjoyed all the panoramic views. We had a great stay and look forward to our next trip at Shoot the Breeze!

This house is a gem! The house itself is lovely, the furniture is really nice, the setting and views are awesome. We loved the little sound side beach, and it’s also an easy walk to the “real” beach. Overall, an amazing spot and we wouldn’t change a thing!

We loved everything about this house and the location. Honestly, can't mention a single thing that was missing our didn't meet our expectations. The views are as beautiful as shown in the pictures and you can even see a sliver of the ocean from one of the ORV access points at the end of the road. The sandy sound-side beach was lovely if you wanted a break from the surf and perfect if you have little ones with you. We loved the layout of the house with the different seating areas, but all together in one large space. The furnishing were all updated and beautifully appointed. Lots of nice local art and accessories set the tone and made for relaxing evenings after a day fishing and swimming in the ocean. Kitchen was very well equipped and even had sharp knives! The AC worked really well and kept the house comfortable at all times. There are two outdoor showers, along with 2 very useful hoses for cleaning up after the beach. Bedrooms are nicely done up and comfortable. There is some beach gear, including 4 beach chairs and a nice library of books, puzzles and games. We will certainly be coming back to this house for future beach weeks. Thanks for sharing your home with me and my family.

THis was our first time in OBX. I did a lot of research of what area to stay in, and my sister had been to Avon a couple of years ago and recommended it. I did a lot more research about what home we would rent. RIght away, the pictures of the bright 2-story great room drew me in! Add to it that it was pet-friendly, and located on the sound with convenient access to the Atlantic and it checked our boxes! When we walked in upon arrival we all gasped and ooh'd and ahh'd (including our 13 and 17 year olds!) The house was immaculate and incredibly well appointed and so beautifully furnished and updated! We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Amazing house with great views of the sound and ocean. Well stocked kitchen and beautiful art throughout. So much more than a beach house.

This was our second stay at Shoot the Breeze in Avon. We love its location on the National Seashore, close walk to the beach, and path to a sound-side beach. The house's main floor is spectacular, with quality furniture, large open spaces, smaller sitting areas, and a reading loft complete with many books. Our family hosted two other families for Thanksgiving and had plenty of room for dining, food, and gathering. We hope to visit this house again soon. Vacasa was quick to answer questions, the house was sparkly clean on arrival, and essential items were provided.

This was a nice vacation at a beautiful well maintained Sound-front home. The sunset views were breathtaking and if we were Kite-surfers or Kayakers the short path to the private beach would be awesome. The house is close to Ramp 38 and closer to the carwash at the BP for the beach drivers, and maybe 10 minutes to the Point for the fishing folks. We had a great time, and would stay here again.
