About this house rental
Dog Friendly - Beach Bungalow- Locally owned/operated. Inspected at each turnover. Three bedroom charmer set between two access points. Ocean views. Gas grill, outdoor seating, sand chairs and more. Half a block to beach access. Check-out time is 9:30am. Thermostats are locked at 72 degrees to ensure units are not overloaded in the summer.
Dogs: There is a a non-refundable $100 pet fee (2 dog max). A large crate can be provided if requested at the time of reservation.
Any dog found in or around a dog friendly property, that has not paid the pet fee, is a ground for expedited tenant eviction, forfeiture of all monies paid, and a non-declared pet fee of DOUBLE the normal pet free per pet, at the sole discretion of property owner.

I’ve been coming to Surf City for a few years. My trip last year was a very regrettable experience with an oddly popular rental agency. This year I tried my first VRBO ever. Score! Michelle and her son were beyond hospitable and inquired a couple of times if I needed anything. I felt more like an invited guest than a renter. The house was quite clean, plenty of amenities, etc. I took advantage of the dog crate offer and it was setup, ready and waiting for Fido’s arrival. The weather deteriorated as the week wore on, but between rains, I’d crack a beer, sit on the deck & watch the churning surf. THIS will be my address when I’m on island. Can’t wait to come back!

With two dogs we've found it hard to rent places, but this house was perfect! Great location! It is always helpful and nice to rent a place that has all the kitchen and laundry needs. Michelle is the sweetest and was very accommodating! We will definitely be coming back!

Property was as described. We did have adults in our party and the bunk beds were a little uncomfortable for my adult son, but he made the best of it. Not having box springs made it a bit uncomfortable. Overall, the location was great, beach was beautiful and and we had a great time!

I wish I didn’t have to write a review so I can keep this place a secret! What a wonderful stay in Topsail. This house is perfect for a family and a dog. House is immaculate, came with a starter supply of everything you need. SHIBUMI! Beach towels! Beach chairs! Clean outdoor shower! And if you have a dog, a crate is available (and the new chew toy was a welcome surprise!) Michelle was in constant contact and always available to answer any questions or if you need help with anything. She was so sweet to remind us of riptides and give recommendations on things to do. I told her the beach wagon needed repair, and a new one was delivered in a couple days (didn’t ask for one and I didn’t intend on using it, but ended up using it)! Location was perfect for us, a short short short stroll to the beach access with no hills. Practically beach front! and a nice quiet neighborhood.
We have been to Topsail for several years now and this by far was one of the best experiences we have had with any rental and hosts. Will surely return and will not hesitate to stay here again!

Such a beautiful house! It was a perfect place to spend the week at the beach. Michelle was super helpful and communicative as a host. The house was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Very dog friendly, fenced in back yard, dog crate on site. It had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and easy. We will definitely be back!!

We truly enjoyed the house! We found everything we needed. All of the furniture was clean and comfortable. The backyard was perfect for our dog. It was a short walk to the beach. We also loved the cart and chairs. The view from the deck was incredible. I would highly recommend this house!

We had a great time at the beach and the views from this house were practically front row. The property was very clean and well equipped with all the basics as well as paper towels, cleaning supplies, etc. The tv's were new with lots of streaming options and the wifi was fast. Fenced yard was great for our dogs and the beach accesses were very close. The location was just far enough from the main tourist area that it was quiet but close enough so that groceries were only 5-10 minutes away.

The property was as described and location was close to the beach. Michelle was a gracious host and checked in to see that all was ok. We had a slight mixup on day of arrival but she made a special trip to see that lights were on for us. The yard is large for our dog to run but sandy- hey, it’s the beach

We had a great week long stay at this house! It was the perfect size for us and our dog. The fenced in yard is a great bonus. I would absolutely stay here again. It’s super close to the beach and we were able to watch the dolphins from the deck! I absolutely recommend this place!

This property was perfect for our family of three over the Christmas break. The holiday decorations were much appreciated and the place was well stocked and furnished with everything we needed. Wonderful view of the ocean from the front porch and two public beach access points just a few minutes walk to the left and right of this second-row spot. It felt more spacious than the square footage suggests due to the open layout of the front kitchen/dining/living room area. Will try to book again in the future.

What a perfect home for a small family stay. This house is renovated and clean!! All the amenities for cooking, cleaning, laundry and spending time with the family is here at the house. Can see the ocean from the awesome front porch. We enjoyed dinners at the family size table overlooking the ocean.Back yard is fenced in for pets to run and play. Check in was so easy and communication with owner is 5 star. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Topsail island!

The front deck has a large table and chairs for meals, game night, or just to watch the sunset. And the bonus is the pet friendly, fully-fenced back yard. We’ll be back!

Location was great! Just a few steps to beach access. The house was clean!! And I usually pack my own sheets and do my own house cleaning when I get to rental houses. That was not necessary here. It was stocked with more stuff than normal, including kitchen supplies, towels, and beach gear. Our Host was very helpful, available and kind. She even messaged me to update the rip current situation for the day when there were high warnings. We would stay here again for sure!

Great ocean views for second row house. Perfect location, not too busy on the beach, and easy beach access x 2, one to the left with a ramp and one to the right with stairs! The house itself was great: all appliances worked great, comfortable beds, all the streaming channels and tvs you’d need, and very bright and inviting atmosphere. Michelle is a doll and fantastic at communication and making sure you feel welcome. We would love to come back ♥️ highly recommend this stay.

Michelle was the most wonderful hostess! We had access to everything we needed for the adults, the teens, and our four legged friends. Michelle went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The home is exactly as described and it may as well be oceanfront. You can relax and see the ocean from the balcony. We enjoyed most of our meals there. It was really convenient to have the outdoorh shower downstairs too so we didn’t have to deal with sand everywhere. The neighborhood appeared safe and all of our neighbors seemed very friendly. This was our first stay at Michelle’s property and our first time to Surf City. We will definitely be back!

The location of this house is perfect, you can be on the beach in just a few minutes. The house was very clean and comfortable, we had everything we needed, the kitchen was well stocked, extra toiletry items were provided and it was very dog friendly. Our very first VRBO experience and couldn’t be more pleased. My husband and I, along with our teenage daughters and two dogs stayed here for 6 nights. The house was so clean and welcoming. Even the kitchen…we cooked several meals without hesitation. It had everything we needed. Also used the grill for burgers and steaks.
Located in a perfect spot on the island..easy in and out. The house is situated right between two beach accesses one with a ramp, making it easy to load up the provided wagon with provided beach chairs and towels! Beach was not crowded at all and we gathered a nice bag of shells.
Our dogs enjoyed the fenced yard and views out of the beautiful living room windows.
Michelle was an amazing host. Communication before and during the trip was great! Answered all my questions quickly and even provided information about events going on for us to attend. We got to see a rehabilitated sea turtle release on the island. So neat!!

I would recommend this to all that love a beautiful view and ease of access to the beach! The house is so comfortable and beautifully decorated! I can attest as we stayed for a girls weekend on Memorial Day and got to experience the tropical low… and because the weather was so bad… it was even better we booked this house! Perfect for a riding out the storm and bonding with girlfriends! Food drinks games and spa day all were perfectly suited for us in the house! Beat place I’ve rented in topsail! And host was more than accommodating!

Pre-stay communication with Michelle was easy and helpful. The property is in the perfect location on the island, walkable to several restaurants and bars. Though across the street from the beach you have a good ocean/beach view. Deck with table for 8 and 2 more chairs for seating. House itself was extremely clean. Comfortable area to gather. Easily slept 8. Kitchens are always iffy in rentals, we cooked multiple meals during the week and didn't lack for any cookware, storage containers or utensils. Also had a assortment of spices. There is an IGA grocery on the island and plenty of shopping 10 minutes away across the bridge. One mention, does have stairs up to the house, not too steep.
2 minute walk to beach access, these stairs are steep up and down so may be a challenge if you have mobility challenges. There is a second beach access that may be easier.

Quick trip to Topsail and this place was a great stay for my wife and I and two dogs. It was clean and had everything we needed. The deck faces the ocean and you can sit out there and watch the waves. The entrance to the beach is about 4 houses down. A wagon and chairs are provided if needed.
A fenced back yard was great for the dogs to go potty. The outdoor hose was good to wash off the sand. There was a an outdoor shower but we didn’t use it.
Michelle is quick to respond and is nearby if you need anything.
