About this house rental
Homey Retreat! A hidden gem tucked away in the bustling historic district of Kennett Square. Walking distance from all shops, restaurants, bars, and entertainment on the main strip. Historic charm and modern upgrades throughout make this a great place to experience and take in the full vibe this great town has to offer. 3 bedrooms, open living room, dining area, fully functioning kitchen, private backyard oasis, with off-street parking.
The space
This is a comfortable row home with electric artwork and decor among many other features:
-THE MAIN FLOOR is an open living/dining room with a 55 inch TV, built-in bookshelf, cozy modern furniture, and dining table.
-THE KITCHEN has is all brand new with a modern backsplash, butcher's block countertops, and stainless steel appliances including a gas oven range with an exhaust hood and built-in dishwasher. Stocked with coffee, tea selection, bottled water, and snacks.
-THE 2ND FLOOR includes 2 bedrooms with a hallway bath. A queen-sized bed in the primary bedroom with a full closet, and a full-sized bed in the second bedroom which has a walk-in closet with a make-up vanity area.
-THE BATHROOM has updated tile and a jacuzzi tub!
-THE 3RD BEDROOM is a converted basement bedroom with a queen-size bed, and TV.
-THE BACKYARD is secluded with high privacy fences and contains a deck that steps down to a flagstone patio with lounging furniture along with a brick patio and pergola with overhanging Edison bulbs and flowering scenery.
- PARKING is available in the front and the back of the house. Private space in the back and free curbside parking in the front.

There are two window AC units located on the first floor and main floor.

The house was exactly as described, communication was more than adequate and a nice location for an evening event in Kennett Square.

Cute, clean and very walkable to downtown Kennett. Charming backyard with shaded sitting area. Property has only one bathroom and it’s upstairs. Wr had a 94 yr old with us and for safety felt we should walk our parent up and down the wooden steps.

We had a lovely stay and hope to return. The house was exactly what we want in a vacation rental. It had charm and personality, was located within walking distance of cafes and restaurants and was very comfortable for the four of us. Communication with Ivanna was seamless. Our family has a wonderful stay.

My friends and I stayed here for a girl's weekend. It was really a perfect stay. The location is great for walking to shops and restaurants. The house is so cute and beautifully decorated. There were so many little details that made us feel we were somewhere special--the kitchen had coffee, tea, and snacks set out for us. The bathroom had nice toiletries and we had plenty of towels for our group of five. The backyard patio looked very cozy and is set up for relaxing in privacy. We loved it!

Clean, quirky and located close to downtown. This was perfect for our family with three bedrooms and a nice sitting area. Parking was easy.

Our 2 college-age kids were home for the holidays so we booked an overnight trip to Longwood Gardens. Homey Retreat was perfect in every way from the close proximity to Longwood, short walking distance to Kennett Square shopping and dining, safe location, and an awesome host. I loved the welcome board and message! Our daughter absolutely loved the downstairs bedroom! And our son appreciated the snacks! Thank you, Ivanka!

Our host was all one could expect: clear, quick to reply to questions, kind, easy going. The rental suited us in location, rooms, organization and appearance. And one parking space allotted to the rental. We would have Ivana host us again a heartbeat!

Great location for our visit to Longwood Gardens and just a short walk to all the shops and restaurants in Kennet Square. We spent a wonderful weekend at this cute townhouse: drinking wine and coffee in the back garden and cheering on marathon runners from the front porch. The decor is delightful, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed. We would return!

Stay was nice suggestion all other rentals stayed in had a book containing info wifi chalkboard very difficult to read things like a supermarket pharmacy info on major attractions etc a more personal touch.

Two friends and myself came to go to longwood gardens and have a nice relaxing girls getaway! This property goes above and beyond. Ivana is such a great host with great communication. The parking is super easy and convenient and you cannot beat the location and how close it is to downtown kennett square and only a short drive to longwood gardens! The beds were so comfortable, great tv with streaming services and not to mention the snacks and waters provided which was a nice unexpected touch! Lovely outdoor area as well in the back! Safe and cute neighborhood highly recommend this property!

This beautiful row home is within walking distance of Kennett Square downtown. The place itself is adorable! The pictures do not do it justice.
I spent a weekend here with my sister and my daughter. We were attending a wedding in nearby West Grove.
Ivana is such a great host. She responds immediately and had everything ready, including lights on, for our after dark arrival.
The backyard was perfect for morning coffee and afternoon chats. The bedrooms were comfortable and we slept well. The artwork is eclectic, quirky and really fits in with the decor.
We could not have had a better stay and will hope to come back again. Kennett Square is such a cute town with good restaurants and shops.

The décor was amazing, the layout was great - we commented on how well the owners had made use of all the available space. The location is just a short walk to cool shops and restaurants. The extras - coffees, teas, creamers and snacks were wonderful.

We had such a wonderful stay in Kennett Square visiting family. The townhome was even better than the photos! Loved the attention to detail, decor and comfy beds! The kitchen was well stocked, and Ivana was a wonderful host! She checked in with us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed and replied quickly to any question we had! We loved how close we were to great restaurants and coffee shops. Can't wait to stay here again next time were in town!

Beautifully renovated vintage row house with a backyard oasis and delightful BoHo decorations. It is very short walk to the lovely downtown historic shopping district. Property owner was very responsive. Would happily come back again.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was only 1 night but it made me want to stay longer. The house was the perfect size for 3 people, loved the front porch and backyard area, we just weren't there long enough to take advantage of it! Host was great to communicate with and the property was unique, quaint and had everything we needed.

Kennet Square is a lovely small town. It is a very easy walk from the property. Many restaurants close by. Drives to Longwood and Winterthur quite quick. The property is as advertised. Lovely backyard to sit and have a glass of wine at end of day. I would recommend new mattresses and pillows, other than that,very comfortable stay. Recommend! Host was always quick to respond.

My girlfriends and I stayed here to celebrate a special birthday. We could not ask for a better place. It was so clean and inviting. We loved the decor and discussed that we may have to move in forever. The town is adorable and everything was in walking distance. Our favorite was The Market for lunch and drinks and Portabello’s for dinner. We will definitely be coming back for a longer stay.

As a garden lover, my first impressing as I walked onto the back yard was impressive. There were options as to where you can relax. A lovely arbor covered in Wisteria, then a few steps away, an other seating area to relax. If you like your coffee on the patio or front porch, it has this as well.
The house itself had eclectic decor and options as to where you want to sleep. Each room had a bed big enough for two.
My only wish was that the master bedroom was more quiet. Being on a busy street the cars are a bit loud.
I’ll stay here again for certain next year.
The host was very good at communicating with any questions I had. I enjoyed my stay very much.

We enjoyed this charming home by Kennett Square. We were able to walk to restaurants which were very close by. Parking was excellent on the back street. The garden area and back deck were very beautiful. For anyone sensitive to sounds, there is road noise from the front street, but it quiets down into the night. The home was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciated the extra waters and snacks for our day trips to Longwood Gardens, the Penn Museum and the Brandywine Art Museum; all of which were excellent. Ivana is a wonderful host and was very helpful with anything we needed. It was perfect for our stay.

Just a perfect, cute, special place to stay. Remarkable decor and so many special extra's. Outdoor space is much nicer than pictures show. Great communication with owner. She has thought of everything to make our stay relaxing and comfy.
Centrally located, easy to get around, so many nice places to show, eat and sightsee.

Everything was fantastic! Great location and cozy house to come to after a long week in DC for a professional conference. The decorations, accessories and art prints were SO much fun!
From the point of view of a group of close co-workers - the space was laid out great. Might be better suited for families with one bathroom and how noise carried in the older construction. But we loved all the charm, from the old hardwood floors to the historic location!

We were in town just for one night for a bridal shower and wanted a place to spend time relaxing with family as opposed to sitting on a hotel bed. This place was terrific! As sparkling clean as all the reviews say; charming, eclectic decor that my teen daughter was swooning over (especially that basement bedroom with the neon sign!). We really appreciated the cold bottled water in the fridge, the coffee and creamers and especially the snacks that came in so handy after a long day of travel. So thoughtful! The coffee maker is a bit quirky - couldn't figure out how to get it to brew a full pot vs. one cup at a time but, that might have been me not being able to fully decipher the manual and its instructions. The owner was extremely responsive and communicative and sweet. One bathroom, so plan accordingly. Highly recommend this rental!
