We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Bone yard, such a beautiful location. The house was perfect for our family of 5 and was even able to bring our fur baby which made all the difference. They also had lots of recreational things for our family to use while we stayed which was very thoughtful. Can’t wait to book again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bone Yard. We arrived a little bit early than check in and the host let us go ahead with check in as the house was ready before 4pm. Great location and all the neighbors we encountered were super nice. The dock was awesome and well used as we had 2 boats with us. The only complaint we had was the house being so old the a/c couldn't keep up so it was just warmer in the house than what we are use to but it didn't effect our enjoyment of the stay. Master bed was the only room without a fan to help out so bring one with you. We saw that there wasn't a cook top in the kitchen but we found a 2 burner plug in type under the counter so thats not a problem. All in all we had a great time

We went here for a quiet getaway and got exactly what we needed. We brought our 2 dogs and it was very dog friendly! I cant say enough good things about our stay, but it was absolutely beautiful and the dock is amazing. The perfect quiet little cove for a swim and for boating. I loved the rustic/cottage feel of the inside of the home. And the back yard was very pretty. You can sit on the sunporch and look at the dock and the water in the mornings with your coffee. I will definately be back in the future! Mrs. Bone was a perfect host and answered any questions very quickly!

Everything was as described. We grilled and used our fish cooker. There was a lot of extra stuff for things we left at home like utensils and a grease thermometer!
Owners are very responsive and helpful. The house is older but very clean and set up perfect for hog owners!!
Not issues for us but a few things that could be known for awareness.
- the driveway is steep. If pulling a bigger boat have 4wd. I do so no issues. Not a lot of room to turn around.
- water holds on the front patio when it rains. But an available squeegee made it easy to push water
- dock is near big water so in busy part of day boat traffic rocks you pretty good….but made for great napping conditions.
- come out of the dock, take a right, go under bridge, first big slew on your right!! Catfish heaven. We tossed jugs it and slayed them!
If they’d have us we would definitely stay again!!

Weather didn’t work for us all week, but we had a great place to stay, boat dock was great with power to keep boat charged. Very clean and great communication.

The no stove top is my biggest concern and it is listed, went to use the electric griddle that is also listed and assuming previous guest left greasy as it was dirty and disgusting. Used the charcoal grill to do all cooking which made it slow. Our trip was primary a fishing trip but they have storage shed with some nice additions for things to do over summer. Nice location, electric at the dock and everything is as advertised. I'll be back if they remodel and add the stovetop. Also very nice touch with complimentary snacks. After traveling for several hours, it was nice to have a couple snacks.

Nice, but not what we expected. If you are looking for a clean cabin as a place to stay overnight between fishing trips, this place is probably for you. If you are hoping to have a cozy place to stay with a nice view, it's probably not. Bare, incandescent lightbulb fixtures, painted plywood floors and a worn out exterior detracted from our relaxation at the cabin. The screen porch off the living room and all the brush at the edge of the yard blocked the view of the lake. Warning, there is no stove in the kitchen, which we were not expecting at all. The dock was nice and we used it to tie up our boat throughout our stay. Being right on the main part of the lake was great.

We stayed just as a family of 5 until the weekend, two of our family/friends came in with their kids! We had a lot of fun hanging out on the dock! My favorite is the screened in back porch, we had cool mornings to enjoy coffee out there! Our kids loved the shady back yard to run and play around. The house nothing fancy but it did the job! The location is perfect, we will be back for sure!

This place was just what we needed! It’s location was just perfect. You couldn’t get any better water access. We had a great time from fishing off the dock, floating in the water and boating all day. The host was amazing and so quick to answer any questions we had. Will definitely be back.

We went to the Boneyard for the Memorial Day weekend. We have visited McCormick many times over the last 15 years. This property checked a lot of boxes for us: truly family friendly, clean, great dock, perfect porch, close to bait/marina/ groceries. The only thing that could have been better was the weather! Coldest and rainiest Memorial Day I can remember in 30+ years of living in SC. We hope to visit again soon so we can get on the boat for a more enjoyable trip. The yard was larger than we expected, so next time we will bring cornhole or badminton. Thank you for sharing your property with us.

This was our 3rd time staying here for a week. Me and my husband absolutely love this rental! Ms Linda is wonderful and always tries to work with us, and is always easy to get ahold of! House is always clean and well stocked with everything we need…..but the best part is the covered dock! We love to fish, so having the covered dock is great for keeping the boat clean, and power at the dock helps us to charge the trolling motor and batteries so easy! Neighbors are so sweet and friendly! Our grandson and furbaby enjoyed visits from the neighbors dogs! Such a pet friendly neighborhood! Will be booking again!

Super clean property with spectacular lake views and a dock for fishing. The screened in porch is a bonus.
The lack of a stovetop was not an issue since a pkug in burner was available and we brought a griddle.
Check in was an issue BUT only because T Mobile didn't have a signal and i did not print out contact info.

Wonderful time! Place is clean and had everything we needed! Absolutely love the covered dock! This was our second time renting here, and we are going back again in May! So quiet and peaceful….wonderful neighbors also!

The house was old and needed renovating. I was surprised to see that it didn’t have a stove. In the cabinet was a hot plate and an electric frying pan. I plugged them in the same outlet and it tripped the breaker. The flat screen tv was sitting on top of an old floor model tv. There were 8 of us in the house and we were only provided with 2 face towels and 4 bath towels. Three bedrooms and they all have a double bed. The house is very small . We couldn’t use the fireplace. Only 1 television in the house. The house isn’t worth the money that we paid.

We went down for a mini vacay . The sunset on the dock w a cup of coffee was the cake topping! NEVER IN MY LIFE - HAVE A BEEN INTO SUCH A ABSOLUTELY SPOTLESS PLACE! Everything we needed and more! Plenty of room for a big family and child would enjoy! Beautiful country home that suit us to a T! Quiet and peaceful! We will be coming back soon!

Wish had full stove instead of,no stovetop without pulling a burner out from under the cabinet. Wish had TV's in bedrooms. Missed that on photos. Needs to have runoff at front door so a puddle doesn't stay for days after a rain..grill is charcoal and whole in bottom,but managed to work it. All in all with sweeping water away from front door place was beautiful by the water.Great place 4 children. We was all senior. Citizens and relaxed on the dock. Thank you for the dock.

Great location, amazing sunsets, close quiet neighbors, definitely a home away from home ! Owner was responsive, helpful, and kind. Our kids had a blast! More little things that make the experience more enjoyable than you realize. Looking forward to booking again !

Location location location
We all had a pleasant trip and a wonderful time staying on the water and having a dock with a covered boat slip. Host was very welcoming and left goodies for us at check in for some things that people might have left home. It was very quiet and peaceful there and we still had a good view of the lake. All around it was a great experience.

The Host is amazing. The house is very nice. Quiet area with large dock, just around the corner from the boat ramp. Been there twice and hope to return more. I definitely recommend.

Great Time
There is a really nice covered dock that was great for keeping my boat out of the sun and fishing off of. The water was 12 ft deep at the end of the dock.. The house had everything we needed in it and much more. Plenty of pots, pans silverware etc. Updated interior with the feel of a real lake cabin. Will book again.

Weekend getaway
We enjoyed staying at the bone yard for our weekend at the lake. Our favorite part was the dock that we spent most of our time on. We’ll definitely look into staying here in the future!

We really loved this place. Easily big enough for 3 adults and 2 dogs. While quiet and in the country, a town is less than 10 mins away.
