Whether you come alone or with your partner or in the group of 4 - you will feel comfortable in this spacious and unique place. 2 queen beds with Egyptian cotton sheets and a choice of hypoallergenic or feather/down duvets; extra twin bed with memory foam mattress is available upon request. Rain shower. Shaw Cable TV & DVD collection, wall-mount Smart TV with Netflix. Fireplace. Well-stocked kitchen, BBQ grill, parking for 1 large or 2 small cars. Walking distance to the warmest ocean beach & Crofton ferry terminal. Good bus connection to other parts of the island. The place is clean and close to the beach, with amazing sunset views. We stayed as four adults for a wedding nearby and found it was spacious enough that everyone was comfortable. Would book again!

Vesuvius is a fun spot for just a chill time. This property is in a great location for the beach.

We love staying at this end of Salt Spring and were really happy to be able to rent a 2 bedroom unit in this development again and show off the island to our Ontario friends. Unit is perfectly set up for for two couples, and everything is as listed by the host and in good working order. Very nice to have our own barbeque on the rear breezeway! And of course, you can't beat the sunsets.

The location is good, the unit clean and comfortable with lots of amenities. We enjoyed the view which included a visit from a fawn on the front yard. The pretty flower boxes on the balcony are a pleasant addition.
We loved the beautiful island and all that it offered. The slow pace gave us the respite we needed.
We just happened to come during a heat warning. The fans provided were inadequate to cool the place down. Air-conditioning would definitely push it from nice to excellent.
It would have been nice to just put the final dishes in the dishwasher and running it without having to put them back in the cupboards.

Elena’s place was clean and well maintained, and had everything we needed. The setting was peaceful, relaxing and quiet other than a bit of traffic while the ferry unloaded. The nearby beach was enjoyed for swimming with the summer heat and sunsets. Wished we could have stayed longer.

This was a delightful condo that was right on point with what was advertised. My husband, daughter and her fiancé spent three wonderful nights here. We had a beautiful view of the ocean, a wonderful balcony with flowers, and plenty of privacy. The bedrooms and baths are nicely situated. We were just minutes from shops and cafes.
Elena, our host, made contact with us early and made sure everything was in order. This property is so well kept and clean. It has all the necessary kitchen equipment you will need. The beds were comfy and linens were immaculate.
This is an ideal place to stay. We plan to make another visit this year. Thanks again to our wonderful host!

The accommodation was spotlessly clean, comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. We would definitely consider staying here again if our travels take us back to Salt Spring. A car is necessary though, as it’s about a 10 minute drive to Ganges.

We had a great time staying at the apartment in Vesuvius. The check in process was very straightforward and the apartment has everything you need. The location is great and it gives easy access to explore the rest of the island.
There was some noise from the ferry terminal construction work through the first night we stayed, which was quite loud but was, of course, no fault of the owner.
All in all, I would love to return and spend more time here.

Elena’s was a perfect place for my family and I to stay on the island. It was nice and spacious and very comfortable. The convenience of the ferry to our next destination was wonderful too. We look forward to staying for a longer period to fully utilize the kitchen and elements of her place next time!

Lovely property away from the action of Ganges. Nice unit, property cared with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Coffee and tea are provided and unit has most cooking utensils (pots/pans) you need to make a meal. There is also a bbq if you desire to do some grilling. Would definitely stay again.

The condo was perfect for two couples. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. It was very clean with comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay and communicating with Elena was very easy. We hope to return.

Just off the ferry in Vesuvius Bay, nice beach close by and short trip to Ganges. Quiet neighborhood, condo had everything we needed. Condo was clean and comfortable.

Our place was perfect and super clean! There was lots of beautiful light from all the windows with a nice view of the ocean and a great patio to sit out on. It is as very quiet and peaceful here. We were within walking distance of one of the best beaches on the island…with calm, warm ocean water to paddle board or kayak on. There’s a great seafood restaurant with a patio over the water… just a 4 minute walk up the street. Everything is within a small easy to do distance on this island but our condo location was removed enough from the main town of Ganges etc. that we still felt very secluded and out in nature. Our contact person was always available to answer questions and was very good about giving us updates. We would definitely stay here again and of course we love Salt Spring Island and will return again…as has been our custom for many years.

I was surprised at just how large this condo was. And quiet. Despite it being a long weekend the ferry traffic did not cause any problems accessing the property. Although we did not take advantage of the easy access to Vancouver Island it certainly was a plus. The suite itself was well supplied, very clean, and despite the heat stayed fairly cool. It was nice to have a fan. Also a real bonus to have 2 bathrooms and washer and dryer. Communication with the host was excellent. Thank you Elena.

This property is much better than pictures. Neighbor were so friendly. The place even had soap and shampoo in the showers. Great ocean view close to everything on the island . We really enjoyed this place very homey.

We really enjoyed our 9 day stay at the Vesuvius Condo. We have stayed previously at other condos in the Vesuvius complex, so we already knew that the layout and location were superb.
This condo had everything you would need in the kitchen to prepare meals along with a BBQ that worked very well and was super clean. A Brita water filter container in the refrigerator was a pleasant surprise. The bedrooms had ceiling fans which helped on the warm nights along with fully screened windows, which not all places have. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding sheets and pillows were first rate, which is highly unusual for short term rentals in this price range. Also, having a washing machine and dryer really helps when you are staying over a week. Both machines were very clean and efficient.
The views of the water were always nice, especially while eating meals on the patio. Strolling around the neighborhood and to the ferry docks after dinner was always pleasant for us. The Vesuvius property itself has not been up kept as nicely as in the past, but I hear there is a change in property management, so hopefully that will change.
Our communication with the owner of the condo Elena was very prompt and informative. She cares deeply about her condo and it shows in how it is maintained.
