Summary:
Newly constructed custom designed retreat situated on 2 wooded acres in beautiful Wild Rock, a secluded /gated mountain community adjacent to New River Gorge and near Adventures on the Gorge (AOTG) where numerous adventures originate, e.g., whitewater rafting, zip-lining, etc. This property borders a 1-acre pond ideal for fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. Fully furnished with leather furniture, gas fireplace insert, custom kitchen and appliances, 5 HD & UHD TVs, internet, etc.
The Space:
First floor includes entry, utility/storage rooms, two master bedrooms/bathrooms w/showers, open kitchen/dining room/great room w/gas fireplace. Sliding glass doors lead from the great room to outdoor decks and hot tub. Deck stairs lead to pathway and outdoor fire pit. Camp path also continues down to Wild Rock Trails and fishing pond. Second floor includes bathroom with shower/tub, two bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other with a queen bed with a single bunk above. A sturdy steel ladder leads to the third level cupola/meditation room.

Guests can walk up the driveway to main road and short walk to trails that lead to NRG and National Park Trails. A cul-de-sac/parking/unloading area just constructed, allows guests to unload supplies near the camp. Plenty of parking is available including a space for a boat.

Other Things to Note:
This is a pet friendly rental however, a $200 fee per pet per stay will be charged. This will be negotiated in a separate agreement. Guests should discuss the types of animals, breeds, etc., with the host.

Great location, very comfortable and clean. Lot's of room in the open kitchen, dining and family area. 3 different outside porch areas, including a really nice screened in porch. Bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. Kitchen stocked with everything we needed. You couldn't get a better location - close to the National Park and activities. The subdivision had nice hiking trails and gathering areas. The town of Fayetteville was 10 minutes with great restaurant options. Recommend doing the Bridge Walk. Recommend Rosa's Speakeasy for fabulous drinks and atmosphere.Gaines Estate for a lovely dinner experience. Escape-a-torium (escape room), in Fayetteville was really fun on a rainy afternoon.

House was in a great secluded location, however it was very close to activities. The home was very nice with everything needed for a smooth stay. I highly recommend this rental! We will try to book again on our next visit to the area.

We had a great time at this place! The neighborhood is perfect and we really enjoyed the on-site hiking trails, the pond, the house, the hot tub, and the location. Everything was just as described. We would definitely come back and stay here!

House was in great location! We had seven in our group and it was plenty of room. As a whole though the property itself need just a little attention. I’m a clean freak and there was a couple of things that bothered me at the beginning. Just a touch up and I was fine. (Seriously though the linen closet needs help!). The trails in the neighborhood were awesome! We did these in the evening and one day we took the trails to the Adventure Center. Great views of the Gorge. I’d definitely rent this property again!

The house is well kept and very comfortable. Loved the bedspreads, they were soo cozy. My teens loved the house and crows nest. The snow, hot tub, and view were exactly what we needed for our relaxing family getaway.

We chose this house for a holiday family reunion. Everyone was so comfortable just hanging out together, cooking, eating, and watching football. We lucked out with good weather and got to enjoy the many hiking trails and the hot tub. Everyone in the group wants me to book this house again!

This property has it all. Fayetteville is only 10 minutes away. There is a trail right off the backyard that you can take for a view of the New River Gorge Bridge. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our time spent at Camp McComas. It was so close to New River Gorge National Park which made for easy travel to the park and back. Enjoyed coming back to the house and relaxing in the hot tub and then by the fire after all the hiking we did in the park.

Very nice, new house in ideal location for our group of 8. Two minutes to Adventures on the Gorge & small general store, 5 minutes from New River Gorge visitor center, bridge view and historic scenic drive under bridge. House was well stocked, large TV, nice decks with tables & hot tub. Host was very responsive with a couple of questions.

Very nice river outdoor adventure
Quality-built home perfect for outdoor activities. Kitchen well equipped. Furnishings very accommodating. Bathrooms/showers need some attention however (shower doors, lights, toilets). Request property mgr call to provide details.
Family had a great time enjoying everything New River Gorge had to offer.

Wooded paradise
Close proximity to all the outdoor adventures in the gorge and surrounding areas. Hot tub clean and hot and perfect on the wooded private deck... to relax after an exhausting, adventurous day!
Plenty of kitchen items, extra spices, sugars, coffee, tea, condiments and lots of little extras. Bed very comfortable and the quiet woods allowed for a great night's sleep. Beautiful home, would recommend

The property was beautiful! We had an incredibly relaxing time. The house itself was very clean and well stocked. There are so many wonderful activities around the house. But the property itself was so enjoyable. The wifi worked perfectly and the hot tub was an addee bonus. Thank you!

Most excellent property !!!
This is the 2nd year we have stayed at this home. Wonderful and efficient floor plan that is family friendly.... the kitchen is open to the family room all with a large nook table to fit 8-10 people. comfortable beds and nice finishes, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. nice to come home to this house (and hot tub) after a hard day paddling with Adventures on the Gorge :-).

Great location for nearby whitewater rafting, and close to food/downtown. Lovely house and well-stocked kitchen. Note that while the setup is ideal for multiple couples, privacy is lacking as there are no blinds on some bathroom and bedroom windows.

Beautiful cabin in the woods
Our group of 9 adults/teens had a great stay. Perfect location to some great restaurants in Fayetteville and to take in some hiking and whitewater rafting. We definitely recommend for your stay.

This house is nice and in a great location. We did enjoy our stay however, will provide some detail that I would want to know prior to renting.The house appears larger in the pictures than it is. This was fine, just unexpected.Everything was clean except 2 of the 3 bathroom rugs, which we washed, the dining room table and all of the outdoor furniture. There were ring marks from glasses/cups, debris and dirt from the previous party.The 2 master bedrooms did not have dressers. There were hanging fabric organizers in the closets but the one master was loaded with towels, blankets so we had to live out of our suitcase. More hangars would be nice as well.Our power went out for around 30 hours and they do not have a generator (the neighbor does and it would be a good idea for this house to get one). Everything is electric including oven/stove and the have a tankless hot water heater so we were unable to take showers. The only cooking option was the gas grill which is old and dirty and only a couple of the burners actually work. Michael, the property manager is very nice and stayed in contact. He offered a room at a local hotel for showers, etc.The bocce court common area is not kept up and is unplayable. Weeds are throughout the court. There is however, a fireplace, tables, chairs and other furniture for a game night if the weather is cooperative. FYI - I don't think they are wiped down on a regular basis so bring paper towels.Pro's - the area is beautiful and in a great location. Highly recommend AOTG for all of your adventure bookings which is right down the road. Great staff and they will cut you deals when booking multiple adventures. The hot tub was nice and they provide the shock, if needed.Dining room table sat all 8 adults comfortably.The beds were comfortable, which is always a bonus.Bathrooms were fine.Laundry room on main level was handy.We did love the front screened in porch. It would be great to fix the door slam every time someone goes through it.Pool area is on the AOTG grounds and very nice.Great restaurants at AOTG.Hiking paths in walking distance.We did fish at the pond and caught a bass and some sunfish.Overall, I would recommend the house. Maybe the cleaning crew could do a bit extra the day guests arrive and a new grill is definitely necessary.

very nice house with many products in kitchen and baths that made stay more comfortable. we enjoyed the spa, fireplace, and gas grill. house is very near "adventures on the gorge" so this was also very convenient for our family. we would definitely come again
