The perfect retreat.

Do yourself a favour and make this your base for visiting places around the area (don't stay in Carins). It's the kind of place that feeds your soul. No need to lock the doors (it is completely safe). The windows are screened so they can all be open and there's no need for noisy, blowy air-con. You are surrounded by tropical trees and birds - it has the peacefulness of sleeping outside in nature but with the safety and comfort of being inside in your cozy bed. Susan is lovely and oozes the peacefulness of the place. She was great about picking me up and dropping me off since I didn't have my own transport. The place itself is beautifully decorated, everything is chosen with and treated with care. It's the perfect retreat.

The place well exceeded my budget but I found out Oz is expensive and supply and demand.....

Lovely spot to stay at

Great accomodation in a lovely location. The studio was very spacious and had everything we needed for a one night stay. We arrived in the dark and the turn into the property was hard to spot, but would not have been a problem had we arrived in the daylight- that was our issue, not the property's. In hindsight, it would have been nice to have stayed for a few days longer in order to fully appreciate the lovely Barron River & Kuranda area, rather than passing through. Great hosts and highly recommended. .

Truly tranquil

If I could, I'd give this place 6 out of 5 stars! The name 'Tranquil Rainforest Studio' really fits—such a peaceful spot. We loved being surrounded by rainforest sounds and seeing butterflies around us, which made the atmosphere magical. The studio was spacious and beautifully decorated, which felt so welcoming. Our host and her family were super kind and even helped us get into town when we needed it. It was a stay that really let us unwind and breathe a bit. We would have extended our stay if we’d had the time. Highly recommended—especially if you have your own transport, but even without, as we managed fine thanks to our lovely hosts.

Beautifully located, private, very well presented and comfortable. Washing machine always appreciated on travels. Very nice bathroom with rain head shower. Comfortable bed. Surrounded by bush. Susan was very friendly and relaxed.

To us everything was fine, mostly exceeding expectation.

Fantastic quiet location and a great host.

Fantastic place to stay. Secluded in the rain forest Host was fantastic with instructions and super friendly.

Possibly a path that leads into the rainforest. But We only had a short stay.

Comfortable studio in the forest

Our hosts provided excellent communication and directions prior to our stay. The studio was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the location in the forest and watching the birds in the trees. Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Fijn, rustig!

Prachtige, stille locatie voor een goede prijs. Fijn bed en apart toilet van de douche.

Bijzonder dat eigenaren via een deur toch in je studio kunnen. zij kunnen deze deur wel op slot doen, wij niet. Dat is tijdens ons verblijf ook 1x gebeurd, is wel via de mail (achteraf) aangegeven, dat ze binnen zijn geweest.

Very nice & convenient place for a brief overnight stop.

Great location in middle of the rainforest. Lovely bathroom, with a surprisingly large rainforest shower head.

Furniture in central passageway, looked good but was not very comfortable for us.

Great stay!

Beautiful interior exactly as photographed. Really peaceful location and close to the town centre.

The drive down to the property is very steep and wouldn’t fit two cars passing each other but there are some mirrors along the way.

Paradise on earth

Absolutely love this place . If you want to experience paradise please visit. Jurassic Park eat your heart out. Easy sealed driveway for great access. The apartment is just so lush and beautiful and its HUGE ! Fresh fruit & breakfast supplies....Its just perfect! And Susan is the perfect host ! So beautiful. Thankyou 🌸

Highly recommend!

You know, when you actually stay at someone's property it's always a concern if they will be 'too much' in your space. Not here. Susan was amazing! She was very generous with her time in giving us all sorts of information about what do to in the area. This was balanced with biding us 'good luck' after our discussions and leaving us to do our thing. Her attention to detail for the studio was top-notch. I wish we could have stayed longer. If you're tossing up where to stay in this area, stop. This place is it. Thank you, thank you and thank you, Susan, for such a lovely, peaceful stay.

One night in the rainforest!

The landlord was very nice and made a good atmosphere at the place. She gave my a drop off at kuranda, after I briefky asked her :). The room was very clean and exeptional comfortable! In the fridge was even a breakfast for me :).
