About this cottage rental
Get away in style to the Cherry Tree Cottage located in a quiet corner of Three Oaks. You’ll enjoy a private home with a large, fenced-in yard that backs up to mature woods and is walking distance to the charming shops, restaurants and event venues in town including Journeyman Distillery and the Acorn Theater. The location is central to all that Harbor Country has to offer - New Buffalo’s beaches are a 10-minute drive, Warren Dunes State Park is 15 minutes away, and there’s convenient access to the Galien River for kayaking or paddle boarding. The area is also close to many vineyards, as well as hiking and biking trails, and local farm stands will provide the freshest ingredients if you choose to cook while you’re away!
The kitchen is well-appointed for preparing all types of meals and provides coffee lovers with many options in the morning- Keurig, drip coffee, French press or Chemex. There’s even an ice cream maker to take the edge off of a hot summer day and a slow cooker for making soups and stews for tailgating in the Fall. The back door opens to a sizeable deck with a grill nearby and a hot tub that seats 6. The yard is perfect for lawn games (corn hole is provided) or for your well-behaved, four-legged best friend to enjoy. In the evening, you can relax with your favorite beverage around the fire pit, take a dip in the hot tub, or gaze at the stars when the sky is clear. There are three bedrooms - 2 with Queen beds and a third with a daybed/trundle that provides 2 twins, and there’s a washer and dryer for your use. For entertainment, the home offers board games, cards, books, high speed Internet, YouTube TV with local and cable channels and Roku/Smart TV to access streaming apps.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the cottage (limit 2) - I love to travel with my dogs, too! - and I'm asking that guests follow these rules to keep the cottage clean and welcoming for other guests who may have pet sensitivities:
1) Please do not allow pets on the furniture unless it is covered - covers are provided and are washed between guest stays.
2) Pets should not sleep on the beds - please use one of the 2 dog beds provided or your own.
3) Dog bowls are available and should be used for all feeding/drinking - please do not use other dishes for your pets.
4) Please wash/bathe dogs outside.
5) Please use the paw wipes that are provided at the front and back doors.
6) Please clean up after your pet in the yard - this will keep there are bags provided and a trash can right outside - as well as a scooper.

The house was cozy and very clean! And the location was perfect. Three Oaks is such a cute little town, and only 10-15 minutes from lots of beaches and other great restaurants. It was such a great size for our family of 3 and bigger dog who felt so welcome with all the pet supplies and giant backyard to run around in. We plan to try staying here again next year we loved it so much :)

The house was just as described. Very clean. I’m not sure how to describe it other than it felt like a home away from home. There was just this nice, cozy feeling we all felt during our stay. The location is awesome and a short driving distance to several beaches. My family & our dog enjoyed it very much.

The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood and has everything you could possibly need. My family enjoyed the games, the hot tub, fire pit and the beautiful outdoor space. The hostess has left out no details and was extremely responsive. The home was impeccably clean and comfortable.

Enjoyed our weekend getaway to Three Oaks. This property was perfect, just as described and displayed in pictures. Great location , good proximity to New Buffalo and downtown Three Oaks. House was clean, kitchen was well appointed with everything you need to cook if desired. Hot tub was clean and working properly. We really appreciated the fact that the property not only accepted pets but welcomed them. There are treats, blankets, bowls and toys for your pet. Carolyn was easy to work with and very responsive. We would definitely stay again.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property in Three Oaks, MI over the 4th of July holiday! The thoughtful interior design made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The entire house is well-appointed, with every detail carefully considered. The kitchen is nicely equipped with all the essentials and more, making meal preparation a breeze.
The outdoor area and yard are absolutely fantastic. The furniture is well taken care of, and the umbrellas provide much-needed shade during the day. Our dogs had a blast playing in the spacious yard, which was a huge bonus for us. The hot tub was clean and operating properly, adding an extra layer of relaxation to our stay.
The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring we all had a good night's sleep. The location is super convenient, within walking distance to town, making it easy to explore the local area.
Communication with the property manager was excellent, and they were always responsive and helpful. We can't wait to visit again. Highly recommend this property for a relaxing and enjoyable stay away from the noise and hustle of Chicago!

We loved every detail of this property! For starters, this property is more than dog friendly, it’s dog welcoming! The owner had treats and a plethora of dog materials available. The welcome gift was very thoughtful and elegant. Amenities like the hot tub and fire pit were adored daily. The backyard was beautiful and spacious. We used the patio furniture and outdoor dining set for cards and enjoying meals. We also loved the short walk to Journeyman Distillery and Froehlich’s. The neighborhood was quiet and good for walks. Overall, communication was great, amenities were wonderful, and our trip could not have been better. A must stay!

We had a wonderful stay in Three Oaks. The house was adorable, although smaller than we anticipated, and had everything we needed for our stay. The backyard is awesome, especially if you have dogs. We did have one issue come up with the property, however the owner responded immediately and worked all day to get the issue resolved. We would definitely consider this house when we are in the area again.

Stayed with 2 adults and a dog - The home was exactly as described and checked all of our boxes. Nice decor, clean rooms, thoughtful appliances and extra items. Lots of blankets and towels which is always a plus. The yard is fenced in and perfect if you’re bringing a dog. The street was quiet and safe. Hot tub was clean and worked great, quite large. There is even a patio heater included outside for cold nights! Close to the distillery and restaurants in town. We would absolutely go back and stay there again.

It was everything described and then some. We had a wonderful experience the home was clean and so comfy. Everything is labeled in different baskets so you can easily find the things you need to make your trip pleasurable. Plenty of towels for in and outside use even so thoughtful as to have a special blanket for sitting out back on the beautiful deck if there’s a chill in the air. Let’s not forget the hot tub which was so nice after a long bike ride. We are counting the days until our return. Thank you very much!!!

This is a beautiful property and it looks better than in the pictures. Every detail has been taken care of and everything was very clean. The house is in a quiet street and has a very spacious backyard. We’ll love to come back!

My teen/tween children and I wanted a getaway over the long weekend, and Cherry Tree Cottage was the perfect destination! This cottage is immaculate and oh so charming, set in quaint Three Oaks where everything is walkable and friendly. The proximity to Lake Michigan, New Buffalo, Warren Dunes State Park, beaches, restaurants, nature preserves/parks, wineries, antique shops, breweries and many other points of interest up and down Red Arrow Highway was excellent...so much to do within a 10-15 minute drive! And then to come back to the lovely cottage to relax in the hot tub or sit around the fire with the s'mores supplies provided by the hostess...it was all so lovely! Thank you, Carolyn, we would love to come back to your beautiful Cherry Tree Cottage property in Three Oaks some day soon! :)

Enjoyed a girls weekend with friends from book club - a lovely getaway from the busyness of kids. The cottage was on a quiet street, a very short distance from the beach, shopping, and restaurants. We went to a free outdoor music concert at the park down the street. The hot tub was the perfect temperature. Cottage was clean and modern. Host was gracious and communicative. The bedding was luxurious! Affordable enough to do again soon :)

We had the best time on our getaway to southern Michigan! The cherry tree cottage was everything we were hoping for and more. The house was clean, beautifully decorated and full of thoughtful touches. We felt very welcomed. Our days were spent going for bike rides, wandering local shops & galleries, followed by campfires and - of course - an amazing, relaxing, rejuvenating soak in the hot tub under the stars at the end of the day. We are so grateful to have found this place for our much needed down time. Thank you Carolyn!!!

We had a great stay at this property. The home was very clean and cozy, with many helpful amenities for the whole family, including our dog. The smore fixings were a fun surprise! While not on the lake, the home is centrally located so that we were able to visit multiple beaches and the dunes with a short drive, and explore the lovely town of Three Oaks as well. A wonderful find!

We absolutely loved this little house. It was perfect for myself and three kids. Everything was perfect. So much love went into every detail. Normally I like to try a new place every year when we vacation but this place makes me want to come back for sure! We went to two different beaches but I feel like there was so much more still left to explore!!!

We met my daughter, her husband and our Grandaughter for the 4th in this lovely house. The backyard was spacious for us to sit out on the deck in the evening.
The house was nicely furnished and had everything available that you could want for cooking, grilling.

Very nice location to shopping, lake, bakery, restaurants. We would definitely do it again with this property. Wanted to stay longer but was booked. Owner was very responsive and helpful. We even had a last minute pet addition and she was super nice about it. Highly recommend

This house is a treasure in the VRBO community. The little extras provided by Carolyn did not go unnoticed and were a lovely touch. The Cottage lacked for nothing in the way of basic necessities. Our dog had a great time playing in the secure extra-large back yard. It's a very safe neighborhood with quaint little shops less than five minutes away. About the only lamentable part of the stay was the unexpected chilly weather...(we decided not to blame Carolyn). We would definitely stay again next time we visit Three Oaks.

Town was close by, walking to everything if need be, especially to the distillery.
What small issues we did incur, Carolyn was super quick to respond and everything was resolved easily.
