About this bed and breakfast
Stay at The Tarabino Inn, a lovely 1907 Victorian Mansion that beckons back to a simpler time, and calls you to slow down, relax, and enjoy the views. The house was lovingly restored by previous owners over the past two decades, and has many thoughtful amenities. All rooms are large suites!
The well appointed Amati Suite is on the second floor of the home and has a beautiful viewing deck just outside room, with beautiful views!
The suite has a queen bed with pull out full bed in attached room (door can be closed for privacy). A roll away is also available, making this a 5 person suite if needed for families.
In room amenities include coffee, mini fridge, TV, wifi. Private bath is just a few steps down the hall, and only used by Amati Suite guests.
Guests are welcome to use common areas, which include the library, parlor, dining room, front porch, and back yard. Park in our large parking lot just to the east of the home.
We are working to provide touch free check in, but for now, you will be greeted by a live person, and offered a skeleton key for your room.
Guests with children: Please be advised that this property features high balconies. Book upper rooms with caution.
Welcome to The Tarabino Inn!!
We’re so glad you have decided to stay with us. You have booked one of THE most iconic properties in Trinidad! Operated for the last 20 years as the Tarabino Inn, the new owners are currently doing a “soft opening” as a casual AirBnB property that is available for nightly and weekly rentals.
We are new hosts in this property, and we’re still working out the kinks, so we definitely cherish your feedback and insight about our property!
Here are the main things we want you to know:
1. Enjoy! The property is located a 310 E 2nd St. Trinidad, CO 81082. You may park directly in front of the home, or in the parking lot just to the east, in front of the stone carriage house.
2. This is a 100% NO SMOKING, NO VAPING property. There are plenty of outdoor spaces where you may smoke, but we beg of you, DO NOT SMOKE OR VAPE inside. Do NOT book if you cannot comply with this request.
3. Check in is at 3 pm, check out is at 11 am.
4. Let us know your expected arrival time by texting Steve at 614-962-1763, and we will make sure someone is there to check you in. We are working on an automated locking system, but right now, we simply have skeleton keys. PLEASE be very careful with these keys. When you leave, place key in the BACK of the door, in the key hole.
5. There will be other guests staying in one of the four locked suites throughout the home. If you are not comfortable with this model, please do not proceed with your booking.
6. We are operating like an AirBnB, and we’re providing coffee, tea, and a few local breakfast items in your room. But please free to eat in the dining room for more space!
7. Common areas include the library, dining room, parlor, and front porch. Please feel to explore these areas! The second floor rooms share a common front balcony, the third floor suite has a private balcony.
8. Our balconies are HIGH – if you book the 2nd or 3rd floor suites, and you have young children, please supervise them at all times. DO not proceed with booking if you are not comfortable with high balconies. The views are lovely though!
9. Colorado can have icy conditions that crop up quickly. Please use extreme caution on all walkways, and alert hosts to any hazards we may have missed.
10. The home is walkable to Main Street, and all the cute shops and restaurants! Enjoy our cobblestone streets, but be careful, as they can be unsteady.
11. As an old home, you WILL hear creaky floors, clunky plumbing, and even the voices of other guests, as Victorian architecture is not exactly famous for great insulation. You will also see that the home is a bit drafty, which is why we provide space heaters should you become chilly. Please do not leave these on all night, as this represents a fire hazard. We hope the charm of the property will outweigh these oddities.
12. Feel free to connect to your own HULU, Netflix, Prime accounts on our smart TVs, but just remember to sign out.
