Located in the lovely Cherry Hill neighborhood in Downtown Flagstaff, you can easily walk within minutes to a wonderful selection of excellent restaurants, cafes, local brew-pubs, bistros, wine bars and distilleries. Parking can be limited downtown during peak times, so the walking convenience makes for a lot of ease. And be sure to browse our unique local shops, outdoor markets, galleries, bookstores. You’ll be sure to enjoy the outdoorsy, casual and friendly vibe that Flagstaff is known for. If your pet is very well behaved, Flagstaff is very pet friendly.
The Artsy Downtown Treehouse is owned by one of Arizona's notable landscape/wildlife fine-art photography artists, functioning as his professional gallery and studio when in residence, and is adorned with his limited-edition artworks, providing a lovely personal touch. Although his works span multiple continents and countries, you will enjoy viewing (& perhaps visiting!) some of the beautiful areas nearby that he has showcased in his hand-selected images of Northern Arizona displayed here.
This picturesque property sits handsomely amongst the majestic Ponderosa Pines. It is a two-story home with a large, fenced backyard, and it’s easy to forget that you are so close to downtown. This is not a cookie-cutter home, it is a one-of-a-kind, special, vintage home. You will find "true" hardwood, tile and slate floors, lots of windows that provide warmth and light throughout. All of the main living areas, including kitchen, are on the second level, which is well-windowed on three sides with gorgeous vaulted ceilings, including a massive stone wood-burning fireplace in the main family room area. This provides a setting that feels like you are in a cozy "Treehouse". You can even see parts of the glorious SAN FRANCISCO PEAKS from both the house & large back deck off the main room.
The galley kitchen with a "Retro Feeling" is utterly eye-catching and provides all essentials needed for preparing delicious meals, if you feel like staying in or are doing an extended stay.
There are four very impressive bedrooms, two on each level. All are delightfully stylish and adorned with themed art – the ‘Monument Valley’ room; the ‘Southwest Sandstone’ room, the ‘Colorado River’ room, and the ‘Wild’ room. The upper level includes the master bedroom (the Monument Valley room) that is equipped with a king size bed and a second bedroom (the southwest sandstone room) with a queen bed. The lower level has an additional bedroom (the Colorado River room), with a queen bed. There is also a very modish living bedroom of sorts, that sleeps up to four people, with two twin beds and a futon couch that folds out into a bed. It is a hip room, that also includes a wall-mounted flat screen television. This room is ideal for anyone. It is certainly a great place for the younger Guests to hang out and have fun. The family room couch upstairs also converts out into a full bed (with bedding hidden inside), accommodating up to an additional two people.
There are two full bathrooms, one on each level, each full of vintage beauty and charm, while remaining functional. The upper-level bathroom is very large and includes two sinks, a roomy walk-in shower with bench.
There is a gorgeous deck with gas barbeque grill located on the second level, accessed off of either the upstairs family room area or the spacious backyard below. The deck provides plenty of space to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or a meal, while taking in the scenery & quiet. There is plenty of room to move to the lower level to play a game in the large, fenced backyard. Please note that accessing the backyard is primarily done from this upstairs family room access, and there is no lower-level access, unless going out front door to side gate.

The Neighborhood
Cherry Hill is the perfect location for exploring Flagstaff: Take a walk around the very peaceful and quiet, forested neighborhood, or walk five to ten minutes to anywhere in quaint, historic & hip downtown. If you happen to be of LDS faith and wish to worship, the home is literally across the street from the church's parking lot. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet otherwise, even with the train station and Route 66 so close by! Generally, you won’t hear the trains, other than the occasional long-distance perceptions of the whispered hum of larger trains going by, which is very slight. The trains do not blow their horns at the four main crossing areas through town, unless they have a very good reason to, which is infrequent. On a busy summer Saturday night with the windows open, you may hear the occasional emergency vehicle from nearby Route 66. In addition to being a short walking distance to fantastic restaurants, cafes, bars & shops, Northern Arizona University & Flagstaff Medical Center, as well as many other professional services, are also within walking distance.
Many hiking and biking trails are accessible nearby. Flagstaff is well-known for its city trail system for both, and nearby Lake Mary road is a must ride if you are biker or water enthusiast. Enjoy the slopes of downhill skiing at the Arizona Snowbowl, a 20 minute or so drive. Great cross-country skiing at Nordic Village is slightly farther up the road. Flagstaff Snow Park is also nearby if you just want to play. For star gazers and history buffs, Lowell Observatory, the Museum of Northern Arizona, and the Pioneer Museum are also a short drive from the house.
Make AMAZING DAYTRIPS to the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon, the Mogollon Rim near Payson, Bearizona, Williams, Lake Powell, Lee’s Ferry and the Colorado River, Antelope Canyon, Petrified Forest National Park, Meteor Crater, everything else Route 66 has to offer, and much more! Explore Arizona’s rich cultural heritage & diversity by visiting the Navajo & Hopi Reservations, the cliff dwellings at the Walnut Canyon National Monument, the volcanic forested landscapes of Sunset Crater, or Native American pueblo sites at the Wupatki National Monument. Reflect on your adventures with a delicious meal at one of Flagstaff’s popular eateries, or settle in at home for a quiet meal and a fire in the gorgeous fireplace.
Getting Around
Parking is available in our driveway for up to 4 cars, as well as additional street curb parking. If bringing up a trailer or toy hauler or mid-sized RV, the driveway can probably accommodate. Uber and the public bus are easily available. The Amtrak station is within walking distance to the house (uphill), for those exploring the American West by train.

Two Story
High Speed WiFi is available.
Well behaved dogs belonging to responsible owners are considered, however we ask that you keep "4 on the floor" as we say in our house. Cats are not allowed. Dogs are not allowed on furniture or bedding, and if weather is inclement, please wipe their paws and coats when bringing inside (mud towels kept in downstairs front door closet). Dogs must never be left alone in the house without being crated. Leaving them alone in a closed room invites extra wear-and-tear on the home everyone rather avoid. Also, you must pick up after them outside, for both sanitary and courtesy reasons. Please be thoughtful about this. We depend on this honor system, otherwise you are setting us up for a bad review from the guest that follows you. We usually allow one or two small to medium size dogs, no more please. No vicious breeds. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. There is a $50 pet fee per dog.
The entirety of the home and the backyard are accessible to guests. We only keep the garage locked off for storage. The neighborhood is incredibly safe and there is access to the backyard for any bike storage.
*For all stays 10 nights or longer, the cleaning fee will be double the regular amount for a deep clean after guest departure.*
-No Smoking: Evidence of smoking will carry a fine of $500.00
-$25.00 for not departing the home at the designated time of departure. $35.00 for each additional hour after the first hour.
-Items left at home wanted to be shipped back to owner: Cost of shipping +$50.00 flat fee
-No Parties: We have a strict "No-party policy". Fine of $500.00 and guests will be asked to depart from the home immediately.
-Pet policy: Pets are allowed with an additional fee (NO CATS) our policy is "all 4 on the floor" this means that pets must stay off of all furniture including beds and couches. Evidence of pets on beds or couches will result in additional cleaning fees. Please pay the pet fee before your arrival.

The property was good for a large group. Plenty of beds and lots of open entertaining space. Upstairs bathroom needs a curtain for the toilet area so more people can use the bathroom at the same time. Also, they need new pans to cook. Besides that, great place and loved the location. It is in walking distance to downtown so that was fun. The host was super great with communication and it was a smooth process for everything. I highly recommend!

This location is perfect and there are enough beds for everyone! Thank you!

Our family of five stayed here for two nights and loved the house. Great space to spread out, wonderful light in the upper level, and convenient to everywhere we needed to go in Flagstaff. Mason was very responsive when we had a question. Highly recommend!

The house itself was very cool, but it was not clean...just surface clean. Towels all had a weird smell my daughters bed had dog hair on it and smelled like dog. The sheets didn't feel clean. The main bathroom shower was both a hand held and regular, however you could not adjust it and it was stuck in between both heads... which gave uneven flow in both heads. A plethora of throw pillows on sofa and beds, in the living room the pillows were covered with soot. If you walked barefoot your feet became dirty from the floors. It was just gross. Its too bad because the house is really cool. They wanted us to start a load of wash when we left, however there was no laundry soap available, which explains the awful smell of the towels and why the sheets felt dirty. The owner should really have his cleaner crew get it together, if they do it will be a great place to stay.

Great and comfortable host in a great location. We rented this to celebrate Thanksgiving out of state with our daughter that goes to NAU and brought the whole gang. Everything was very comfortable and there was plenty of room for eight of us! The yard was large and secure for our dogs, and we loved that there were a couple rooms ands a bathroom downstairs as well as a couple bedrooms up. Thank you for being wonderful hosts. The description was accurate and location very close to everything.

Fun house, great vibe and perfect location to downtown restaurants and breweries. Even in a major heat wave there were plenty of fans to keep us comfortable! Kitchen was well stocked with everything we could need. All appliances were in good working order and we enjoyed the back deck and grill. Space was enough for 4 adults and 4 teenagers and the two floors helped with downtime. Would certainly rent again :-)

Don’t rent this house in the summer, it has no cooling system, and there is no mention of that in the listing. It was not habitable during the day and evening because of the heat. When I am spending this much money to rent a house I want to be able to enjoy it and spend time in it. We just couldn’t do that which was disappointing. While we appreciated the fans the owner dropped off the first night when we complained of the heat, we wondered why weren’t they already in the home when he knew it was going to be 94 degrees. Sadly, the fans did little to help. Additionally, it was difficult to communicate with the owner. He did not respond to our communications in a timely manner. The location is great, walkable to town, and the beds are comfy. The back patio was pretty with trees and views of the mountain, but the furniture was pretty weathered and there was old food stuck to the grill. I wish the owner would have mentioned that they did not have cooling in the house. It would have saved a lot of disappointment.

Nice place fully stocked with household equipment. Everything we needed was in the house. Nice quiet neighborhood close to everything. My only suggestion would be to clean the living room couches and outdoor patios.
10.0 / 10.0
The house was a good size with 4 bedrooms (two upstairs and two downstairs). Having a washer/dryer is a big plus if you 3 ever need them.
The location is great as it's only a 9 min walk to downtown.
6.0 / 10.0
The surface areas are neat and somewhat clean. However, there are a number of items where you may seriously think of hiring a new cleaning service.
Trivial but applicable, the OLD beanbag chair is shedding foam and should be thrown out.
The blankets are not soft nor are they clean, they smell.
The more important areas to address are the towels that have an awful smell. This may have something to do with the washing machine and it not being clean. The detergent receptacle is filthy and was hard to look at. I was extremely hesitant about washing the towels we used in that machine but had not other option.
The cupboard liners are sticky so when using a dish or cup, it had to be washed before use.
The worse observed item that needs to be addressed immediately is the stove vent. It’s so filthy I dared not cook on the stove fearing what may fall in the food. How your cleaning service is overlooking this matter is hard to imagine.

This property was close to shops, grocery stores, parks, and just a short drive to more winter activities. A great place for a family. Plenty of bedrooms, washer/dryer, kitchen appliances, and a great family room and large kitchen table as a central spot to hang out together. Loved the wood fireplace that added to our experience.
