Enjoy your stay in our completely refurbished 1920's bungalow, situated three blocks from Uptown Greenville. This amazing location is close to several upscale, casual, and outdoor restaurants. Nearby are micro-breweries, multiple coffee shops, brunch spots, and boutique shopping. There regularly is live music close by, and a you won't want to miss a stroll to riverfront park to watch the sunset. Six short blocks through uptown and you are on East Carolina University's campus. Minutes from allll the action and the vibrant energy Uptown has to offer.
This historic home offers three large bedrooms (king/king/queen), two full baths, living and formal dining rooms and a full kitchen. Don't miss the coffee bar, washer & dryer. No expense was spared in the recent upgrades including the kitchen remodel with an industrial 1920's vibe. The original hardwood floors and crystal door knobs just add to the charm!
Large rocking chair front porch and fantastic rear outdoor space with large deck includes dining and seating areas, and party lights. Plenty of parking. Just five minutes from the airport!

Nicely done property, quiet, clean and comfortable. I love the decor and high ceilings. Felt really open. Was here with family visiting my mom for her 90th and it was close to the festivities.

This is a lovely home that is well acquainted for families. This is our second stay at this rental in Greenville. Hosts are communicative. Home is clean and well decorated. Thank you for another great stay!

Cute bungalow was clean, spacious and met all of our needs on our recent stay. Proximity to downtown offers the ability to walk to a variety of restaurants, a few shops and campus. The house provided everything we needed, the beds were comfortable and the coffee bar was a great addition. We spent a lot of time outside and enjoyed having that extra space in the yard as well. We will be back!

Owner was very communicative and helpful! 5 star owner. Cottage as advertised and clean, neat, well updated. Neighborhood was just ok but close proximity to uptown which is nice and new. TV was streaming only which is a pain in the rear. Overall would stay again for sure.

We enjoyed our stay at the Pirates Hide Away. Lots of room, good WiFi and TV reception along with great outdoor lighting and parking. Instructions were crisp and easy to follow. Had my Brother and Wife come to visit and we all enjoyed the location. Thanks a bunch for offering it.

We throughly enjoyed our stay over the long weekend. The house was cozy, clean and convenient...indoors and outdoors… great all around for us and our pups. All was comfortable and enjoyable, we even had some family and friends to visit/hang in the family room and enjoyed Sunday family dinner in the Dining Room. The kitchen is smaller but with creativity it's definitely large enough to pull off a big meal. We are so happy to have found this great option for a Greenville getaway. Thank you so much!

Absolutely LOVED staying here. The house is so cute, nicely decorated and has everything you could ever need. The backyard and front porch are so cute. Walking distance to downtown and campus. Cassondra was extremely detailed in her communications and was a wonderful host. We will try to stay here every time we visit Greenville. Highly highly recommend staying here!! Easily the best place to stay in town.

absolute perfection for 5 friends re-connecting from grad school which was 20 years ago! one of the best VRBO homes I have stayed in. proximity to ECU campus, downtown, shops, restaurants, bars could not have been closer. I never used my car during the 4 day stay. we did not mind the proximity to ECU student/Greek housing either, but other guests may need to consider this ;)

We loved staying at the Pirates Hide Away! It is our 2nd time staying here, and we will definitely stay again in the future.
The house is only 1 mile to our Son's house, which made it very convenient for us getting him settled in for his Senior year at ECU and for celebrating his 22nd Birthday!

Overall this was a good experience. The pros are the place is very clean, they provided a lot of items in the kitchen such as coffee and a little ice maker and the kitchen was well stocked with items needed. Also the rooms were larger and all had ceiling fans. Bathrooms have nicer towels, shampoo and soap dispensers on the shower walls, and even makeup towels. The AC worked well though it did go out the second night and they promptly had a repair person over on Saturday morning and quickly fixed the issue. I appreciate the quick responsiveness of the owners.
The areas of improvement that would make it exceptional were the grass outside was very high and as a result there were a lot of mosquitos in the yard which made sitting outside challenging. There was also a neighbor throwing a party which was louder but still to be a little expected in a college town. Many of the door knobs in the place come loose to the rooms as they are very old doors and knobs and could be tightened and resolved. The final item to note is there are cameras stated in the listing. They do not create a super inviting feeling to want to sit outside and enjoy the nice porch and area. I understand the need for protection but it makes the experience of being outside less comfortable from a privacy and conversation aspect.
Overall I do highly recommend if you need a place in Greenville to stay!

For sure, once you stay here, you will want to book it again, if ever in GVL. House was so spacious, well equipped, and a stone's throw walk to Uptown eateries Host was super responsive. Perfection!

We enjoyed our stay. The host was very easy to communicate with and check-in was simple. The space was fine for the five of us. The outdoor seating was a wonderful bonus. We enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants. Great choice!

My family stayed at The Pirates Hide Away for an ECU graduation. It is a very comfortable and beautifully appointed house within walking distance to the school, restaurants and town.
The host was very responsive and everything we needed was available.

Beautiful home, decorated with care, high quality bedding and linens, equipped with everything you could need. Lovely back deck area and good parking. Walkable to the University and wonderful coffee shops, restaurants and boutiques. Loved our stay.

This property was exactly as listed. It was the perfect place to stay for our daughter's ECU graduation. Comfortable (the most comfortable beds of any VRBO we've stayed at), clean, charming and convenient.

Thank you so much to our host for making available a home that was as advertised and more. Cassondra was responsive and engagingly interactive. The bungalow was clean, well layer out and fully appointed. The location is ideal for a walk to campus, to free-boot Friday, to the game shuttle, to many restaurants and bars. We couldn’t have been more pleased (other than the Pirates losing the game :-) and will happily stay here again,

The house is newly remodeled and full of style. The outdoor patio gives a place to slow down and relax with family. The location was perfect to walk around town and the local restaurants.

Quiet spacious retreat
My daughter commented that this is probably the nicest place to stay in downtown Greenville. We where within walking distance of places to eat and drink and if your their to visit someone at ECU you are right next door. Will try to stay here again when we visit next.
