Welcome to The Overlook Asheville Escape! An elegant escape nestled in the mountains in Northeast Asheville, North Carolina, this property features magnificent accommodations within easy reach of all the city’s diverse attractions. With easy freeway access and close proximity to local shopping and restaurants, the property gets high marks for convenience. But it is its picturesque setting that makes it irresistible.

Recently remodeled and complete with modern amenities, the house features six bedrooms, sleeping up to 15 in bedrooms. Four of the bedrooms connect to en-suite baths, and all five full bathrooms have been been updated with luxurious features.
Windows on both levels provide dramatic views of the mountains from nearly every room; this is a house for all seasons. Enjoy the surrounding lush green foliage of spring and summer, the vibrant hues of autumn, and the long-range mountain views of winter. Relax on the large deck next to the gas fire pit, or cozy up inside beside one of the two large stone gas fireplaces.

We had siblings coming in from all over for a reunion. We went hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway and eating at the great restaurants in Asheville plus sample a few craft brews.
The house is perfect for large gatherings a lot of bedrooms plus a lot of bathrooms .
We made a few meals at home too
Jason was great to work with everything went smoothly note roads leading to the house quite a few curves but you get use to it.

This was our second time staying at the Overlook. We stayed with a couple of families and the house was perfect for that. We also enjoyed seeing (from inside) the daily bear family visits. Jason is a pleasure to work with, and we would definitely stay here again.

Our family has had family reunions for years and this is one of the best properties in which we’ve stayed. The space was very comfortable for both hanging out together and finding spaces to relax alone. We had no problem cooking together in the large kitchen and gathering at the large dining table. Its location was perfect as well. Close enough to downtown Asheville to be convenient but also a lovely country setting very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Our family from Florida and Michigan came together for a long weekend vacation and stayed at the Overlook. This property was absolutely beautiful and was exactly as represented in the listing. The check in and out processes were very easy and our hosts were so responsive and helpful. The property was extremely clean, and well suited for large groups with lots of comfy seating both inside and out. The very large kitchen allowed us to cook together and converse with bar seating. Lovely weekend at a lovely home.

Perfect place for family reunion. 6 bedrooms easily accommodated all parties. Home was situated on a hill with great views and property provided the privacy we had hoped for. Home was clean and kitchen stocked with necessary items for cooking. Video game machine and foosball table were an added bonus. 15 minutes from downtown Asheville and close proximity to other attractions - Mount Mitchell, Chimney Rock, Biltmore. One of our top VRBO stays and would highly recommend.

Great home with ample space for our group. We chose it because of the bathrooms with each bedroom and were very pleased. Lots of room inside and out for us to enjoy happy hour, cook dinner, play games on the large table, watch TV and sit by the fire with everyone comfortable. I am very picky about cleanliness and everything was as great. Jason was immediately responsive with the one question we had. He communicated many details well in advance of check in, so we had no surprises and felt well informed. Thank you, Jason for sharing your home with us.

Our family stayed at this property while attending a family wedding in Asheville,NC. Beautiful house, lots of space (there were 5 kids + an infant), bathrooms and kitchen were totally upgraded and fully equipped. I had to call the owner with a question and he replied right away. The kids loved the Pac Man game table and full size foosball talble. The setting was beautiful! Can't say enough about this property.

The house was comfortable , spacious and clean . Love that we didn’t have to bring dishes , bakeware , sheets or towels . Yard and deck are big , kids loved playing outside and we sat out by the fire every night . Close to Asheville , groceries , and hiking ! The home has a perfect layout for 15 people… plenty of room to be together and to also have space, especially with five little girls running around. We are thinking about coming back in a couple of years and this would be the property we would choose to rent again. A few couples are now interested in purchasing a memory form mattress because of how well they rested in the beds that were in the house.

However, at this property, it exceeded our expectations with its beauty and location. Our group of 12 loved this house and had plenty of space. Driveway had enough room for all our cars and the property was very clean and very beautiful. Everything was amazing and as expected.
Only thing that was slightly less great than expected was the outdoor fireplace was gas and didn’t produce much heat so we didn’t really get to enjoy a fire and the road is too dangerous to walk / run on but there are many great trails a short driving distance away.

This house was perfect for our group of families. Just about every room was an en suite. The house had three living rooms for us to spread out in and the kitchen was big enough for a couple of people to cook at the same time. The weather was perfect, so we utilized the back deck. We did get a couple of visits from the bears, but luckily, we were inside when they strolled through the backyard.

The house was clean and spacious and exactly as the listing stated. Jason was easy to communicate with and promptly answered any questions before and during our stay. The location is perfect for all the Asheville activities, DT Asheville, hiking or just gathering on the spacious deck. Beautiful views and the mama bear and cub were a fun surprise! The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities to prepare meals. Ingles grocery store is a short drive and it’s a really nice large grocery store. So nice to have that many bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate 11 people. We loved it all!!

The Overlook Asheville Escape was my cousins home away from our homes for our 9th annual cousins retreat and it was phenomenal. Riding up to the house view was breathtaking and then we entered the house.

It was 11 of us this year and we all had our own room. The 3 spaces for lounging was welcoming so everyone had room to sprawl out.
One designer cousin thought all the decor/design was spectacular.
This house is centrally located to a lot of attractions so it was a short drive to the Biltmore and downtown.
Communication with the host were addressed quickly.
I think if our cousins retreat ever brings us back to Asheville, we will definitely be staying here.

This property was exactly as expected from the description. It is perfect for both privacy and group common space. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of working space, excellent appliances and lighting. The deck is large with a great view. Noise was never an issue.

Spacious and quiet
This was a lovely remodeled, spacious house which fit the needs of our family of 8 adults and 4 children. There was a Pack and Play available for the family of 6 who had the lower level while the 3 adult couples had their own bedroom and attached bath on the main level. The kitchen was well supplied with cookware, utensils and dishes to prepare home cooked meals that were enjoyed at the table for twelve. There was even a highchair available. Ingles grocery store was close by to purchase our groceries and staples. It was nice to have gotten the information packet beforehand suggesting what to bring. I was able to share it with the family and know ahead of time to bring my traveling supply of spices. Our host, Jason, responded very quickly to any questions I had. Since there were few games, and not wanting the children to be outside by themselves, due to the bears and other wildlife, it was nice to have the foosball and Pacman arcade. A mama bear and her cub entertained us one evening. It was a good opportunity to be able to tell the children that bears were not animals to get close to.

This was a beautiful home that was perfect for our family vacation of 6 adults and 2 boys. There was plenty of space in each bedroom for sleeping and having your own room for downtime. The house was clean and well equipped. The kitchen was amazing and has pretty much every utensil you need. Jason was very responsive and helpful when needed. The beds were comfy and the bedrooms and whole home were decorated well. Loved the modern airy feel.
This location is 15-20 mins to everything you’d want to do and the house comes with a booklet of recommendations for guests.
We saw a bear the first day and she just walked around the property and enjoyed a back scratch on a tree. Very cool! All of us would stay here again.

We went to Asheville to celebrate our daughter's high school graduation with our extended family and this was a great house. There was plenty of space for five couples and our two daughters. Bedrooms were large and the bathrooms were awesome with lots of cool functionality. Family room space was also great with a game room as a bonus. We really enjoyed the outdoor space as well!
