The room was way smaller than expected. The rule of 1 bucket of ice per guest is ridiculous. When I asked for ice I literally got a cup with roughly 7 ice cubes. The towels were dirty. The rooms need more insulation, I could hear our neighbors snore.

Exactly how listed. Staff was very helpful and professional! Special s/o to Christian as well as the angel with the winged eye liner and curly hair (sorry didn’t catch a name but was v helpful with check in)

The hotel room is very small but clean and quiet. I stayed there on my own so it was ok but it would have been squeezy for 2 people. Very close to subway station. There were always staff on duty whenever I went passed the front desk.

Room was very small. Over the three days we were there we adjusted to the size of the room so it was fine. The only real negative was the sink. It is outside the bathroom. They need a towel ring on the wall by the sink. Also there is a shelf above the sink which makes it difficult to brush your teeth. You have to bend over and fit your head between sink and shelf to spit into sink.

Very nice hotel. Clean, nice staff. Good neighborhood and very close to train into Manhattan. However the room was missing a fridge like listed on the website.

As a previous resident of NYC I was in town to visit family in Brooklyn and knew this convenient location well. However, the quality and value for money more than exceeded my expectations. I will definitely stay here again.

Room was tiny but worked for us. The front desk people were awesome. Plenty to do nearby. The R train was literally 50 steps from the door. We didn’t hear any noise. Would definitely stay there again.

It was pretty clean, but the photograph showing the room made it look like a normally sized room. This is EXTREMELY MISLEADING! It was very difficult for my rather thin girlfriend to get around the bed to her side. And forget about me getting to the window! I had to climb on the bed!

Room wasn't ready after the check-in time but the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We locked our bags in the available and easy-to-use lockers and took a stroll. Returned with some beverages but were surprised that none of the rooms have refrigerators! The room was generally well-appointed though I was a little concerned about how sturdy the sink was. It's helpful to know that currently, nearby hotels have been taken over by the city but if you exercise some awareness of your surroundings and act like your safety is important as in any city environment, you'll be fine. There's also a residential building being constructed right next door (August 2023) so there is some construction noise early on weekdays, but the staff left earplugs if the AC isn't loud enough to drone the contractors out. Overall a great value, glad I stayed there.

Room was both much smaller and not as clean/nicely designed as the photos. The rooms are actually very poorly designed, mainly because they're so small and cheap materials were used. For 2 people, there is barely any space to put your belongings and still be able to walk in the room. The AC vent is directly above the bed so it may disturb you. Our pillow and sheets had a big stain on them. Reception was responsive and very polite. Overall I wouldn't stay here longer than 1-2 nights. We stayed 2 nights when in NYC for a wedding and were mostly out and about so we barely spent time here.

We enjoyed our stay at Sonder because of the cleanliness, helpful workers, overall security, locker storage, and quick Subway access! We wish there had been a mini fridge but that’s the only negative we can think of. Thanks, Sonder!

the staff is ABOVE AND BEYOND! they were all always so sweet and considerate. the room was clean, organized, and very cute. obviously it was small, but it was exactly how i expected it to be! they also had BIG containers of hotel shampoo, conditioner, and body wash! highly recommend if you're looking for an affordable place in the city!
