Wonderful 2-night stay in superb surroundings, close to the coast.

Superbly situated 2-bed flat, 11 minutes drive from the seaside and smack in the middle of the New Forest countryside. The rooms were huge and, whilst they retained a 'retro' vibe, they were perfectly well appointed with everything necessary for a very cosy stay. A massive, heated and enclosed swimming pool was a huge benefit after a hard days' hiking. Good water pressure in the shower, ample heating and cooling throughout the flat and full Sky TV and WiFi was a bonus. Excellent for a couple or small family.

There was nothing to dislike - even the neighbours in the adjacent house (who shared the pool) were charming!

Excellent, would recommend.

Access to a kitchen, living room etc. Being able to use the pool. Plenty of space for parking. Close to the pub for dinner. The host was immediately available to deal with one or two questions.

One day we couldn’t use the pool as it had just been cleaned. I suppose that can’t be helped but it was a shame. Another night the guests in the other house were noisy and kept us awake. I’m not sure allowing access to the pool late at night is helpful in keeping the noise down.

A little dated but very well presented and exceptional value for the location and facilities.

Great location with secure garden for dog and a very attractive setting. Very clean. The pool is wonderful and the additional towels a nice touch. Wifi and Sky TV service excellent. Exceptional value for money. The property exceeded our expectations.

Kitchen is short of a few basic tools - such as slotted turner, potato masher. There is only the minimum amount of crockery and just the one pot. There seemed to be issues with the latches on some of the windows. Curtains in lounge do not close easily.

Extremely miss leading description of The Flat

Old worn out furniture which was badly damaged beds not fit to sleep in. Built in wardrobe was full of black mould and extremely smelly Workman turning up at 8am to dig up the garden outside the bedroom window without prior notice. No spare towels as promised in booklet. We was not greeted by the host and upon ringing him he didn’t answer or return by call. So therefore we left the property one day/night earlier. Bitterly disappointed this was not what we expected - so therefore we feel it was a complete waste of money!!! A very poor experience

A hidden treasure, will be back

Great location for exploring new forest and surrounding areas. The flat had everything we needed, was really well stocked and had a homely feel. Can just imagine this being superb in the summer. Surprised by the pool, the pictures don’t do it any justice, added bonus. Dog friendly too but didn’t smell of pets.

A little outdated and could do with a spruce up but wouldn’t put me off from coming back at all.

Very enjoyable and relaxing, would stay again

Clean, comfortable everything you need provided. Garden good and swimming pool available. Dog loved it. Good position for exploring the area. Lots of dog friendly places to visit and eat.

Only issue was the busy road so needed extra care with the dog

Great place for a nice weekend away with friends.

The cottage was perfect for my two friends and I who were meeting up for a couple of days walking in the New Forest. The beds were really comfortable and it was very roomy. We would definately return if we were in the area again.

Definitely a place to return to. Loved the location and kitchen was well equipped,

Loved location and size of the flat. Host was a star came to see us and offered a wetsuit to my youngest lad for the pool. Genuinely nice bloke. Tea, coffee sugar and some breakfast cereals and jams was really helpful. Real homely feel to the place. Clean and comfortable. With kids 2 toilets is a big plus.

Cold water tap didn’t work at all in kitchen. This is such a minor thing. Otherwise tiptop.

Lovely location

Unfortunately the pool was unavailable, although I had checked previously that we could use it. We were unable to access the key as not given code before our trip, but I could be part to blame as I should have checked. Cold water tap in kitchen broken, so it felt that possibly nobody had been in to check everything all ok. Lovely flat just needs some tlc.

Relaxing, comfortable and everything we wanted :)

Visiting nearby family , my daughter and I could not have been more comfortable or happier with the accommodation or the location. Even despite the weather, it is in such a beautiful location, rooms were of a large size and exceedingly comfortable and we could not have felt more home from home. I really dont want to review as would like to keep this as an absolute hidden gem!

The location is excellent for visiting the New Forest and surrounding towns and villages

The apartment is comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay. Two toilets are a bonus when there are four people.

A good two days but property could do with improvement

The location was really good, attractive grounds and friendly, polite host. Quiet. Easy to find & good centre for getting about. Heating & hot water worked well, appreciated on cold mornings & evenings.

Nothing in fridge, not even milk for a cup of tea, odd mugs all different sizes. No hand towels. Dining area too small, had to squeeze in past the sofa. Furniture a bit tatty. Could do with a good spring clean (e.g. dead insect on wall by pillow in twin room, dusty shelves). Single beds not for those with back problems, otherwise comfortable.

Peaceful, relaxing and pleasantly surprised.

This apartment was perfectly located for what we neened. A short drive to New Milton where we had a family party. Right in the middle of the New Forest. We would definitely look at syaying there again if we're returning to the area.

Honestly, we wouldn't have changed anything.
