Nice location in walking distance to restaurants and shops. However, the pictures are misleading. The yard is not inviting as pictured. There has not been any maintenance or upkeep in the backyard in a long time. Some of the doors in the house do not latch. Had to prop bedroom door shut with trash can.

Property was as described. Convenient location.

Great location near restaurants and town center. Home was historic and charming. Could tell the place was cleaned but unfortunately found mouse droppings in silverware drawer and had to clean all utensils and dishes prior to use.

Good except for very limited parking. also deceptive pic of backyard.

Property was very nice. Great location to nearby entertainment. Only issue I had was the proximity to the train line that ran through every night.

Lovely home with lots of space and updated features. It is centrally located in Elizabethtown, KY to coffee shops and and historical museums, parks with live music. Bring your family to reconnect with them like when you were growing up.

Elizabethtown was a great place to stay for us during our spring break vacation. Lucy's place was comfortable and combined antique decorative style in an historic home with modern conveniences. We had everything we needed at the house, and several local attractions within walking distance including the Hardin County History Museum, the Brown-Pusey House, the Kentucky High School Basket Hall of Fame Museum, and several local restaurants, and a coffee shop. The location is right downtown near a roundabout on main street so there is some street noise in the house as well as noise from the trains that run through town, but that wasn't too big of a deal for us. We were able to visit the Louisville Slugger Museum, the Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs, Mammoth Cave National Park, Abraham Lincoln's Birthplace Museum, Abraham Lincoln's Boyhood Home (separate from the Birthplace Museum). All of these were within an hour from the home. Some much closer! There are two and a half baths in the house, and there is a washer and dryer set in a closet in the downstairs bathroom. When we were there the hot and cold water were switched on the washer. Hot and cold water were also switched in the sink in the upstairs bathroom. The manager said she would address those issues for future residents, but be aware if you are getting ready to do a load of laundry on delicate/cold. We stayed in April, so we didn't need the air conditioning too much, but the upstairs (where the bedrooms are) definitely gets warmer than the downstairs. I think there is a separate air conditioner that can be hooked up for the upstairs during the summer, but we didn't need it during our stay. Overall, a great place to stay!

Property was fair. Old house with all the expected "quaintness" of such. Property seemed very well cared for. Unfortunately the a/c was not functioning properly. Daytime weather was 89 degrees and nighttime weather got down to 62 degrees. With air turned down to 68 degrees the temperature in the house stayed at 78 degrees until just before dawn when it managed to get down to 74 degrees. Fans in the house were poorly placed or non-functional. Discontinued our 2-night- stay after first night because it was near impossible to sleep in the near-80 degree house.

Family stayed here for a few days while visiting E-town. History behind the house is great, location is central, and a short walk to downtown. All in all the house was fine and suited our needs. Nothing was horribly wrong or too off putting. However, the house needs a thorough cleaning, it just felt dingy with dust everywhere. Ants seemed to be a problem inside the house, and perhaps not a new problem as my toddler brought me ant traps she picked up from somewhere. The outdoor space is poorly utilized in this home. The yard was full of weeds, overgrown plants and shrubs, mulch everywhere, and broken garden tiles that my son was picking up. The fire pit area is a nice touch, but also needs to be swept or blown off to really enjoy. The fire pit itself is unstable and leaning over, so we did not use it. The patio furniture needs New pads or to be replaced all together. The front porch was nice and we enjoyed the porch swing. This rental could be so much better if the management company gave it a little more attention and love.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the historic 3 bedroom home within walking distance from downtown Elizabethtown Ky. The interior was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The exterior would have been more pleasant if it would have been sweeped and better maintained.

Enjoyed our stay here. The house is quite comfortable, very clean and very interesting. As noted in the listing, you must access the bedrooms via stairs. Also be aware that if you are bringing more than one vehicle, parking may be an issue. We parked one on the street and were able to park one in a lot behind the house. The local contact was super and responded quickly once I called. Living room is large and roomy, but kitchen is small and there is no ventilation so it gets hot when the oven and/or stove are being used. Overall, enjoyable stay and we would stay there again.

The house it's self was quite interesting as it was very old but well maintained and you could see the upgrades over the years. The house was also very close to old down town with an amazing coffee shop one block away. Overall was a very nice stay and was exactly what we needed. Would for sure stay again.

The location of the property was perfect for dipping into Elizabethtown's several attractions and easy to find by car. My wife and I are very likely to return in large part due to this house!

Lucy’s place was amazing! We could not have asked for a better place for our family to stay during our visit to Elizabethtown for a baseball tournament! The house was very clean and the owner was so thoughtful and hospitable. It was very cool to stay in such a historic home and we loved how walkable it was to local restaurants. Highly recommend Lucy’s place to anyone looking to stay in Elizabethtown!

We had a great time in Elizabethtown. The location was ideal for exploring different areas. The house was old but with updates. I would recommend having another ac unit upstairs in the 3rd bedroom. It did get quite warm. Possibly consider having t.vs in all of the bedrooms. There were not many outlets to plug things in upstairs. We had a multiple hdmi plug with us and a box fan that helped us out. Check out the area events ahead of time. They have events on Thursday evenings. The restaurants were good and walking around was neat.

Great historic property
Had a wonderful 7 day stay on the historic property. Some shorter doorways but that’s to be expected based on the age for the house. Clean, everything worked, and close to a lot. Would stay again.
