Let's start with the positive: the rooms are nice and large and the bed was comfy. They have netflix and things on large TVs but you need to login to your own account. The pool area is only ok and the outdoor areas not nearly as large as made to look in the photos. Less good - the location wasn't as great as I'd hoped. It's on a main road and near malls, but a decent walk from the main Manhattan Beach area with any decent cafes or beach. Service was competent but not warm, and they could accomodate my request for a hot water kettle. Overall it was fine but I probably wouldn't stay here again. I also get annoyed at having no proper mugs or glasses in the room - why keep producing landfill?? This seems to be everywhere in America though.

Very loud construction happening in the room above me for hours on end. I called front desk to inquire about it and was told there was no maintenance happening. Which was alarming because clearly something very loud was happening for a very long time. Even the TV on high volume could not drown out the sound. I inquired again and was told the same thing. I went to investigate myself to find workers in the room directly above me replacing the bathroom floor. So annoying! I literally started to think I had a Dexter type person in the room above me using a saw to dismember a body! Why would the front desk have no idea this was happening and why did no one attempt to check on it or remedy the situation? Unacceptable. Food was good- but had one delivery issues a few times. Beds comfy! Amenities great. Overall cute, clean property with friendly staff. Also/ make sure not to put the do not disturb sign on your door even for a few hours because your room will not be on the cleaning schedule.

Convenient location south of LAX. Short drive to beach. Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach strands are great for strolls along the beach while admiring the homes! Plenty of dining choices nearby. Clean and updated rooms. Turntable in the room and albums available in the lobby to take to your room (at no charge.)

Beautiful property, only complaint is they charge you for your room plus the security deposit at the same Time so you get charged a higher amount in advanced and it will take several days for the security deposit to be released. Was not expecting that

For the location we were visiting, it was pretty convenient having the hotel where it’s at but there are definitely better options out there. The staffs were super friendly but the cleanliness of the place wasn’t up to the standard, specifically the bathroom. It wasn’t super dirty or anything but I’ve been to other places that looked and felt cleaner. I stayed for three nights and it was close to $700 if you include the parking fee and I just don’t think it’s worth that much because like I said, there are better options out there, and this one was not an option that was worth the cost I paid. If you’re looking for something to get by and you don’t care to have a budget, or you won’t be spending the majority of your time inside, OR you don’t mind how clean a place is, this would be a good option.

Standard hotel pricey for being dated. Front desk ladies were a bit rude since check in, we’ve arrived early hoping we could check in since check in was a 3 she didn’t allowed access to our room till past 5:00 pm. For me it’s important clean rooms and good customer service unfortunately we didn’t feel welcome in this hotel. They charge for parking per night as well. No breakfast is included just as reference and not laundry room on site.

The hotel restroom is old. The restroom is dirty. The shower head is broken. There was a big rat running across the swimming pool. It’s not worth it for the price and it’s overpriced.

Room smelled like smoke. Rugs needed to be replaced, everywhere. Upon arrive we found out there was a $25 per night parking fee. If I’m bringing business to your Hotel I should not be penalized by having to pay for Parking. They did not have a free breakfast.

Staff at the Belamar was top notch the entire trip. Valet staff was very friendly and very quick, put up with my family coming and going all weekend with a smile. Front desk was great, answered any questions i had and was kind enough to keep our luggage stored for us so we could spend one last morning at the beach without the hassle. I would, and have, recommend to everybody travelling as a family

The lady who takes orders was rude. I was standing there at least 10 mins and she didn’t even acknowledge me. I had to say something to her and when I did she said “I’m working by myself and if yi can’t wait you can leave”! I guess my skin wasn’t white enough to even say “hold on , I’ll be with you in a second”. I really wanted to curse her out and leave. But i didn’t because it wa late and I wanted something to eat.

The property served our needs for an overnight well. We had an event in the area and the location was convenient. The accommodations were comfortable and linens were perfect. We had the best night sleep, surrounded by luxurious amenities. We did not explore the hotel but what we did, we enjoyed. Would have loved a full length mirror in the room, even if hanging on one of the doors. Also, with two women getting ready, would have appreciated an additional electric outlet outside the bathroom within close proximity to a mirror for more convenience in preparing for our our outing. Finally, a nice touch would have been to have a little note by the record player informing that there were records in the lobby for guest use. I did not see or discover the selection of records until checkout! This would have been fun for a little diversion while getting ready!

Dirty towels and wash cloths, no self parking, dirty sheets and mattresses, air conditioning was terrible and I could hear everything going on in rooms around me. Looks like a place that someone tried to salvage but didn’t have the money to really put into it and make it nice. They say they have bikes but there’s 4 and they’re run down and mostly unavailable. Overall we decided that we won’t be coming back.
