Lobby: Looks outdated, kind different from the rest of the hotel facilities, no music, no visible bar, chairs and tables are dirty and old, no TVs (just a projector}, not welcoming comparing other hotels. The hotel administration should put attention to it. Room: The sofa fits small people, I am 6' and do not fit in, you may need to ask for an additional bed. Food and drinks are good/excellent. Overall great hotel and location.

Really liked this hotel, and all the staff is very nice and friendly! The food was good too! We got all inclusive and we did not have to pay for anything! Gratitud is at your own discretion! Would definitely stay here again!

The grounds of the property are beautiful. Staff was very friendly. Rooms and common areas kept clean. Always able to find chairs at pool. Restaurants were consistent. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

If given the option, my overall rating would be 4.5.stars.I stayed three nights in a rented condo and two nights all-inclusive at the resort. This review pertains to the hotel stay only. Overall it was one of my favorite places to stay thus far in Vallarta. The staff , sans one, was absolutely fantastic. Special recognition to Eddie at concierge, who each day greeted me by name and offered his assistance and Jesus at the front desk, who placed me in a very nice suite. Vellas is an older property but is being maintained very well. The property is rich with tropical foliage. The suite was very nice and very well appointed with a fully stocked refrigerator (replenished daily) and a variety of snacks. The all-inclusive package includes your choice of two restaurants as well as room service. One restaurant, La Ribera is the casual option located beach-and-poolside while the other, Andrea, is mid-property and is described as their gourmet dining option; reservations only. The only reason Vellas fell short of a five-star rating was the limited choice of food options, taste, preparation and quality as a couple of meals that fell short of expectations. However, the nightly dining at Andrea was very nice. Special recognition to the foster and son duo of Julio and Julio Jr. (JJ) who made the dining experience amazing. If only Vellas had one or two additional restaurants/dining options and improved the food experience at La Ribera, this would have significantly enhanced my experience.

We had a fantastic time at this property!! The staff was amazing. The specialty drinks by Marisael at his bar were fantastic. The property was beautiful. We were able to upgrade our room upon arrival which was fabulous. Great place to stay.

Hotel is a bit dated compared to the other resorts but very clean. We had a three bedroom/ 2 bath suite which had two rooms without a view and the main bedroom with a balcony and view. Kitchen has everything to prepare meals but we had the all inclusive package and didn’t use it. Living room is spacious with an ocean view balcony as well. A lounger on the balcony would have been nice. The service is phenomenal!! Staff everywhere is helpful and friendly. We had mo issues getting loungers by the pool but the towel system is very inconvenient to the guests. Guests are required to go to the first pool area for a beach towel with a card you get at check in and have to return the towel to get your card back. The food is good but not great. Also, it is almost too hot (in May) to sit and eat breakfast at the beachside buffet. The other restaurants were hot as well and it uncomfortable to eat while hot. A suggestion, it would have been helpful to have the calendar of activities before arriving to plan around events we wanted to be at. Overall, I would stay again and would recommend to friends and family

We stayed in several different hotels during our trip and this was the last one before we flew home (chose it as close to the airport) was set in very beautiful scenic grounds with lots of flowers & ponds/waterways & had fish and a peacock. We love to see animals around hotel. Hotel easily accessible with buggy & had lifts. Had a nice view from bedroom over sea but disappointingly the windows were screwed shut . Room nice but shower was fixed to the wall & no bath. The pools were fine but would have been good if they had some slides and play things in them for kids. The lazy river didn’t even go round in a loop and only rings to go on looked like those left by other guests. They should have a look at the Marriott Delta in La Cruz- they have an amazing lazy river! There was a small slide/sloped entrance to the “lazy river” but it was very dirty and seemed all the scum and sun cream from the big main pool collected in this channel along with hair and other yucky bits. Quite a few small tiles missing from the pool that need replacing. The food was good with plenty of choice. The beach looked nice but sea was too rough for us to swim in. The little park and kids club was nice but was disappointed when they said parents weren’t allowed to stay with their kids and instead to go back every 40 mins. I holiday with my kids to be with them. Luckily as it was quiet they allowed us to stay. Location was good as close to airport and could do boat trips nearby like Las Caletas
