The front desk staff was wonderful. I was visiting for a family emergency. I ended up losing my Dad while I was staying. The front desk staff went out of their way to comfort me, gave me a box of Kleenex, hugs, and were so kind. So appreciated it. I look forward to my next stay.

The only reason I give 4 star is I travel with my dogs which is why I chose Marriott it is Pet Friendly. However, there was no designated area to potty your pet. I had to walk the streets in an unfamiliar area to myself. And our room did not have a working refrigerator and our TV was unplugged and I assume because we had dogs were were put at the furthest point in the hotel next to 680 freeway where it was really loud. Also having parking available other than valet would also be nice.

People working the desk at check in weren't very helpful. The temperature in the hotel was extremely cold and uncomfortable. The room balcony facing the lobby, bar and restaurant made for an very noisy night. Probably wouldn't stay there again for the price when there are other options

Unfortunately the bar had all their draught beer out of use for the whole week we were there. The bottled beer we were served we discovered was mostly out of date and ran out on a regular basis. Bar staff were as frustrated as the customers. Ladies of the night seemed to be regular visitors and tolerated by staff. Will not be using Marriott hotels again.

Property is very nice. However, there is no self-parking. Valet is the only parking method, and they charge $30 per day for that. The Buffett breakfast is very nice, and it is offered only on weekends.

Overall it was a ok stay the room we reserved was not available so the manager did make it right and gave us a discount on are room and valet parking to make things good. The rooms towels were not clean or they were stained and there was hair in the shower.

It was okay and the price is overpriced for a stay in an outdated hotel. I also don’t like that there is no choice for self parking and felt hesitant to use the valet services. The valet team pulled up with the wrong car and I had to say something when they handed me the keys.

We've stayed here many times. We liked the decor much better in the past before they completed a "renovation" and turned the rooms into sterile, modern, cheap-looking rooms. They long sofa in the king rooms is too uncomfortable to even use and the floors of wood-look linoleum (?) leave a lot to be desired. On the plus side, the rooms are very clean and the beds comfortable. I mentioned in my last review (a couple months ago) that the pool chairs were ripped and was glad to see, this time, that they'd been replaced with new chairs. Valet parking is $30/night. They no longer offer a shuttle to downtown. Employees are all very efficient and friendly.

Tye at the front desk … AWESOME. SO HELPFUL. property is dated a bit. Hard to keep the room cool at night. Construction above our room started each morning. Annoying. Had concierge access but very little in there for snacks in the evening which was a bummer. House keeping was on point and friendly. Overall. Decent. Wouldn’t brag about this place. Will probably try another property next trip

Great experience at the Marriot. It was just a one night, but we loved the beds which were very comfortable. I love to walk so when I saw that Target was only a 10 minute walk, I hopped on the opportunity. The area is easily walkable. Breakfast at the restaurant was delicious as well.

All of my interactions with the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was really convienent to 680 and downtown Walnut Creek shopping and restuarants. The facility itself is older but overall I had no issues and would stay here again.

A little difficult to get into depending on direction coming from. Property very clean, staff outstanding...were able to pre-register so that we could attend scheduled function and still have vehicle checked in and just pick up key cards. Room very well appointed and clean. Thanks for a great stay.

Overall a good place to stay a few days. The room was quite small for 2 adults and 2 young kids. Wasted space with the wooden entertainment set. Having to pay for valet parking is a downside, not sure if that is common for the area. Property was very nice. Restaurant did have wonderful food.

Pros: when the power went out, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our request to get a refund. I am sure it was a very stressful time for them but they were courteous and helpful. Cons: not much room, no table to eat, no place to put bags in order to get stuff out, and the only place that was a flat surface was a narrow counter that had a tv on it and beams that closed off space so it barely held a backpack.
