The hotel itself was really nice and good for the price but my only complaint was there was no hot water on the weekdays for some reason. Cold showers weren’t my ideal idea of a get away weekend.

Rooms were recently upgraded but the quality of work will wear down quick.
Beds were comfortable.
The train will wake you multi times in the morning.

I loved everything at this hotel. It was clean the staff was so nice and it was very quiet besides the kiddos having fun playing in the pool past pool hrs at the hotel next to Cove hotel. But I’ll refer this hotel to everyone

The tub pooled, there was visible space under the door where mice and rats could get in. The air conditioner never went below 77 degrees.

This was a traumatic experience for my family.
On the first night in the hotel my daughter woke me up crying in the middle of the night saying there were bugs in her bed. I checked and found 3or 4 ants. I assured her it was ok I got them all and she should go back to sleep. She ended up sleeping with me.
The second night same thing. Middle of the night ants on the floor in the bathroom dad. Again 4-5. Killed them and went back to bed.
The 3rd night was the bad one. Woke up and there were ants everywhere!!!!!!!!! My bed her bed our clothes our bags the bathroom. I’m not talking 4-5 ants either I’m talking thousands and thousands of ants. I work in a lumber mill and this was worse then anything I’ve ever seen. I could not for the life of me figure out what was attracting them because we didn’t bring food into the hotel. So after I wake up to my daughter literally covered in ants I look around and find the remnants of someone’s grapes. Which means after 3 days of “cleaning” our room there was still the guest before us’s food garbage on the floor. I changed hotels for the remainder of my stay in Sandusky. I called the hotel and someone was supposed to have called me back. Been 2 days and haven’t heard nothing.
I feel like a terrible dad for putting my children through this. Please Learn a lesson from me. The early access just isn’t worth the trauma this has caused my child.

Convenient to cedar point . Budget friendly . Staff friendly , quiet rooms , pool open from 9 am - 11 pm , it’s a decent priced motel without all the bells and whistles . The 100 deposit hold was a sticker shocker . Still waiting for that to be credited back to my account but it’s been two days so hopefully soon . Only shampoo dispensers in room no conditioner dispenser . But room was clean bed was a tad bit uncomfortable. Some chips on wall in bathroom . Internet accessible was good . This is an excellent choice for budget family vacation stay . Located at entrance to cedar point drive . Have stayed at higher price places close near there a noise level was insane , so this was a breath of fresh air . Occasional train but to me it was soothing . Continental breakfast : cereal , yogurt ,bagels , toast ,fruit , coffee , juice , muffins , etc . Will def revisit when the family visits the Sandusky area again .

Over all great night stay.

There was a spider in the bathroom that was 4 in in diameter…..called and they came and removed it but it was enormous.

Overall very satisfied, bathroom was clean and updated, which I appreciate. Beds are extremely small, but comfortable. The breakfast offers a lot of carbs and very little to no fruits or protein options.

Beds were comfortable, good value for the money. Rooms were small but adequate. Make sure to bring a noise machine or earplugs because the train goes through every 15 minutes all day and night. Breakfast was good. We will be back.

Maggie at the desk is AMAZING, she could make anyone’s stay great. Although this isn’t the Ritz, they have done far better at updating and trying to keep with the times while maintaining a great rate than a lot of name brand hotel chains. The surrounding area is a tad rough looking, but we felt safe at the hotel. The parking lot was well lit and although the pool area is randomly in the parking lot it’s fenced and a great amenity to offer. Breakfast included was the icing on the cake and just as good as any hotel continental options. They even offer complimentary bottled water to take back to your room. It far exceeded my expectations for just needing a bed to save on a morning drive to Cedar Point.

The front office staff were very nice. We were a family of 5 and they had the roll away set up with sheets made. Would definitely stay there again when coming to Cedar Point.

The hotel is run down and dirty. My daughter fell on their sidewalk and skinned up her knee and elbow pretty bad. It was an inconvenience to find a bandaid for her. Room was run down and dirty.

We got charged for a freezer. They said it was broken after we checked out and we did not even use the freezer. We had a cooler of our own not very happy.

The location is great, it’s on 2.5 miles from Cedar point. The rooms are like a motel feel (all room entrances are on the outside). There is a freight train that is loud that runs through very close to the motel and it runs all night long. There is an outdoor pool open until 11pm. Breakfast is served 6-9 am. The rooms look newly refurbished. The bathroom door doesn’t open all the way because the shower rod is curved.
There was a strange smell in the room a lot. Smelled like exhaust or some type of gas, maybe coming from the A/C unit. It made me nauseous.

Beds were small and uncomfortable, but other than that it was fine

We stayed here after a fun filled day at Cedar Point. We were pretty much just looking for beds to sleep in and it fit the bill. We reserved a room with 3 double beds and it was perfect for the 3 adults and 2 kids. The bathroom could have been cleaner. It definitely needed a new shower curtain. If we were looking to stay there long term, I probably would not pick it but for a bed for the night, it was fine. The Breakfast area was very clean. It had the typical cereal, bagels, and muffins but it was well taken care of.

Overpriced, pictures are misleading. Took an extra $100 which I should get back in 3-5 business days- not like a typical deposit because they pulled it from my bank on the spot as opposed to a hold. Awful experience, we left at 4:30am as soon as we were awake enough to drive. Would do anything for a refund, not accurate advertising.

We had asked for a triple bed room and only received a double deluxe. We reserved the room a month in advanced but were told at the location they had given it away and we would have to deal. The room we had smelled like cat pee. We were charged for a triple bed when we didn’t have one we were told it would be fixed. it was not. We paid $50 extra for a room we didn’t receive.
We slept in a room that smelled like cat urine we were told that would be refunded for that night, it was only discounted $30. The place was loud. The doors didn’t lock well. The bathtub didn’t drain. Wasn’t a very safe location. We had the choice to stay there or holiday inn which was only $25 more a night. We had chose cedar cove since it was a small business. I won’t go back. Very disappointed. Don’t use Expedia to reserve rooms. Reviews aren’t accurate. Very upset that we reserved one thing and received another. Upset that room smelled so bad we had to spray it down just so we could sleep. A $30 discount does not suffice what we went through. If coming to town, spend the extra for a nicer hotel.

The staff were so nice! We checked in late and yet they were still so kind, polite, and truly interested in our story. We will probably be staying there next year.

Perfect for the price. Nothing fancy, pretty decent continental breakfast. Pool was small but clean. My son and I loved it.

Just what we needed. A bed for the night. Air conditioner worked well. The beds were clean. But the room had a musty smell. The bathroom had no fan and definitely had water damage. The wall was falling apart by the bathtub. But overall did what we needed.

We stayed here for 2 nights while we visited Cedar Point. The price is very reasonable. Checkin was easy and she was friendly. Our room was updated. It was clean. Beds, AC and bathrooms were all wonderful. We enjoyed sitting in the chairs along the pond while my son took pictures of the wildlife flying nearby. It was very peaceful. We did use the pool which was clean and relaxing. It’s not big but certainly did the job. Breakfast was a nice spread. The employees were all very nice that we encountered. I had no complaints about our stay and would definitely stay again!

I arrived at the motel/hotel quite late (around 10:30 pm) and it felt like a party scene. There were a bunch of people in the outdoor pool and a couple on the 2nd floor balcony smoking herbs. I'm not against that at all but didn't want my bonus daughter walking by that. We were only in the room long enough to take showers before discovering a bedbug on my bed (thank god we didn't unpack yet or get on the beds yet). Outside of this, the rooms appear to be very presentable upon first glance and the front desk woman and the owner were very responsive to this issue. Customer service was great.

Very convenient and affordable hotel for anyone going to Cedar Point during the peak season. It was only a five minute drive to the park. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The front desk is open 24/7 and they give you complimentary bottled water. The area wasn’t the nicest but I wasn’t out walking around in it. There was a nice lily pond outside you could sit and look at. The pool was small but I can’t review it because I didn’t have time to go swimming. Room was great for the price and was very clean. Enjoyed the free breakfast, especially the pancake maker. Only downside is that it was very carb heavy with only one protein option (hard boiled eggs.) Overall had a great stay and would recommend

Overall it got the job done. The 3 beds in the room was perfect for 2 older teens needing their own beds. The room itself was clean, bathroom was nice, but some of the titles in above the shower should be changed.
The location is great for Cedar Point.

Pros: Property is 7 minutes away from Cedar point. Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful outdoor area.
Cons: Air conditioning unit had mold, unit 209. Food was under bedside table. TV did not work on arrival. Last con is outside of the hotels controll, was woken up by trains 4 times.
3.0 / 5.0
Came late after a long day at Cedar Point and it was perfect for such an occasion!!
Pros: Relatively clean, bed felt comfortable, didn’t really hear anyone. Receptionist was very nice!
Cons: No WiFi (or if there was, couldn’t figure out how to connect) and had terrible service even though that rarely happens for me. Blankets weren’t too comfortable - no comforter. Our room was in the back and faced a little sketchy area but still felt pretty safe.
Overall, a quick and easy trip where you get what you pay for! Wouldn’t recommend for a longer stay but perfect for a night when you just need some sleep.

I had an injury that kept me from going to Cedar Point. Every single employee that i interacted with offered to help me way beyond what was required for their job.
You may find a fancier place to stay, but you won't find a kinder or more caring staff anywhere.
