This resort is about the only place to stay close to the beach in Boca, so I booked it for a couple of days. This building was built in the 70s and it shows. Though you can see that it has been updated to fit the present time, it still has a musty smell, the carpets throughout the floors are buckled, the walls are dirty, and the mattresses need to be updated. It seemed as though our room had been left open for days while Hurricane IAN came through. There was rust on the table lamps, the sprinklers, and the air vents. 5 stars to the staff, they were amazing.

The room was spacious and clean. The hallway rugs needed treatment or replacing. Breakfast was amazing! Staff was friendly and pleasant.

Always nice - restaurant reno at the moment - so if you wanted a meal inside wasn't much choice - but I am sure it will be nice as the previous one was!

Rooms are cheap looking. Desk chair was a crappy metal stacking chair, desk and dresser also pieces of junk. Room darkening shade very difficult to pull up and down. Gym is dirty and equipment old and not maintained. One of the tread mills has a ripped tread. Trash on the floor. I told the front desk it needed cleaning and two days later same trash still on the floor.
Inadequate parking. Only good thing I can say is that the restaurant has good food and service. Also, chairs, umbrellas and towels available to take to beach which is an 8 minute walk away.

The property overlooks a noisy road which can be heard inside the rooms. Also poor sounds insulation between rooms.

I asked the hotel for a quiet room shortly after I book - early morning flight/late arrival/only in the hotel to sleep...and they overbook hotel and put me in room facing a loud road – I asked for so little, just a quiet room - and Waterstone couldn't deliver this and therefore I got little sleep following nearly 24-hour travel day and then an all-day conference - really disappointing experience. The only redeeming part of the hotel was a hotel worker named George - his colleagues could learn a great deal from this individual's enthusiasm/friendliness - he is a great asset to the hotel. Nevertheless, the noisy room just made the entire hotel experience highly disappointing.

They call this a resort. It is the furthest thing from a resort that I can imagine. The hotel was filthy. Don’t waste your time or money.

Well the shower drain was plugged, the heater in are room didn't work, and the room smelled like burnt pot. When i told the manager he said I'll get someone on it. They came back and said shower was fixed and the heater was turned off. As for the smell he couldn't determine if it was are room or the one be t door.

had room on 10th floor, overlooking inter-coastal and thru some hi-rise buildings, the Atlantic. It was really nice. Room was clean, spacious and had siting area. Staff was really nice. On site dining is somewhat limited but fine provided weather is cooperating as its outdoors. All this said, between room costs, $30 resort fees and $30 self-park, it was quite expensive.

We checked in on Saturday and the room was 63 degrees. We turned on the heat and left for our event. We got back at 11:00 and it was still cold. The hotel sent up a maintenance guy and he could not fix it. He stated that he would send someone to fix it on Sunday. No one ever fixed the heat and it was still VERY cold in the room. The manager took off the parking fee and resort fee for compensation. That is not enough for freezing!

We've stayed at Waterstone many times over the years. It is in a great location for us. The hotel was sold in recent years and the decline in all aspects of the hotel are readily apparent. The hotel staff, while generally friendly, appear to have received little to no training in how do make guests feel welcome. As an example, one front desk employee in particular would never even say "hello" to us, even if she looked up from her desk and looked directly at us.The rooms are overdue for an update and our room in particular had a musty damp odor. We were also unable to recieive the ability to self park as advertised and were forced to use the valet, The hotel, however, did agree to waive any daily parking fees for us. Bottom line, until the hotel shines itself up and their staff become more profesional, we will likely not be returning to Waterstone.

They are promoting the hotel as a 4 stars but it is not in my opinion. The location is good but the renovation was not what I wlecpected.

This is a nice place with comfortable rooms in an excellent location (with a car or bike) with great views from the little balconies, but it was FREEZING in the halls and a bit loud because the road over the intra coastal is right outside the window. Also we were not warned when we booked that unfortunately the pool was closed for maintenance for the 2 of the 3 days we were there - but when we complained they refunded the $30 resort fee. Also there was only a walk-in shower and I would have preferred a tub.
The complimentary coffee and blueberry water at the front desk were excellent

Would never stay at this dump again.. Have outside vendors trying to sell clothes in the lobby and front entrance, place is extremely disgusting and our room smelt like mold… Staff was rude and looked like they hated their job

Great hotel with friendly staff. I do think however that the charging the guests to self-park is ridiculous when they are paying to stay at the hotel. Also the check-in time is ridiculously late although they were accommodating and gave us our hotel couple of hours sooner.

Beautiful view of Boca Lake from our balcony. Pool was the perfect warm temp for swimming in December. Amazing location near numerous restaurants, the ocean, grocery store, and an all and all gorgeous area. Loved being able to borrow the hotel bikes to ride to the beach. Comfy bed and nice linens. Great shower pressure too! Only thing is our family prefers hard surface flooring over carpet in hotel rooms for obvious reasons, but very nicely updated rooms.

If you are a light sleeper or do not like being ripped off, then DO NOT stay at this hotel. There is a bridge near the hotel and you can hear a noise until late at night. The hotel offers self park but they charge you $ 32 plus tax to park and $ 33 plus tax for a resort fee - because they have a pool and rent jet skis ! There were holes in the curtain, a hole in the carpet, a piece missing in the door and the tiolet clogged . Plus eggs, bacon and potatoes breakfast for 2 was $ 60.
