Excellent, reasonably affordable chic boutique hotel in Bel Air, off highway 405 (so a straight shot to LAX or easy access to Beverly Hills, etc). Located just by the equally excellent Getty Center, one of LA's top attractions. The hotel is nice and clean. The restaurant on the 17th floor has wonderful views of LA, especially at night and a capable menu. The cuisine is commendable and well prepared in optimal sizes. Good heated outdoor pool and a gym next to it. Highly recommended.
2.0
Very nice hotel but not quite 5 star because 1) the location causes it to suffer from road noise and 2) there is a mandatory $40/night valet parking charge that came as a surprise.

I stay here 10 times per year and the service is always exceptional! The restaurant is great as well
1.0
Not so good. The room was dirty. There was faulty fire alarm at 12am.
2.5
The staff were extremely helpful and polite. Everyone offered excellent service and made great recommendations. Our room was quiet (even though we were on the side with the freeway.
2.5
Great getaway for an evening. We had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant upstairs. Great service, delicious cocktails and food.
2.5
It was great except for when I went upstairs to eat dinner yesterday at 7-8pm. The lady at the front when I got off the elevator on the 17th floor was extremely rude. She rudely asked me if I was even a hotel guest before letting me sit down & the service was so slow in that restaurant. I was not impressed and felt very unwelcome. Yet the staff was so nice to other customers and did not ask them the question about if they are a hotel guest. I also didn’t receive a receipt or anything at check out they just took my key quickly.
1.5
Checked in and they put us on a low floor without asking about free upgrade.
Next day, they moved us, which was good but then that room had issue with casting on tv & dirty bedding, so they had to move us again to another room. You would think they would comp us something for all of the inconvenience of moving rooms 2x but nope.
Next issue is the bartender upstairs. He is a gestapo. If you want people to linger and order more drinks and food, you need someone with a better personality that is service oriented. Years ago that restaurant was so sophisticated but new ownership has let it go to pot. Next on the list is the cafe. I understand the girl is pregnant, but she dissappears often. The girl on the weekend is on point and super friendly.
So sad to see how far this hotel has come down from its glory years. Its like people just gave up.
2.5
Close to UCLA since it was parents’ weekend. The hotel had a convenient transport to the university. The rooms are all close to the 405 freeway so it’s noisy at night time bring earplugs and a noise machine
2.0
Good room and really liked that free Uber rides to nearby neighborhoods.

This was our second stay at the Angeleno and it was as good as the first.
First off this is a round hotel. The rooms are more pie shaped than square. The room are sufficient for the two of us. King bed, desk, tv and more than enough drawers for our clothes. The bathroom is very spacious and well appointed (interesting that the shower does not have a door that closes - just an open stall.
Our room was on the 11th floor with a incredible view of the coast, ocean and even Santa Catalina Island.
The staff was first rate! We always ask for a couple of extra pillows and they were delivered just as we opened the door. The bed was very comfortable.
We had breakfast in their dining room on the top floor. The service was wonderful, the food very good (if a bit pricy), and the best coffee I've had in some time.
When we left we asked the staff about a tree that we had noticed in the area. They didn't know, but later that night we got an email with the information. That's going above and beyond.

Hotel is by a busy highway so noise could be an issue, but it didn’t bother me. It was very clean, friendly staff and conveniently located.
2.0
Brief one night stay. Parking is only valet and not free. Place was clean, would give it another try for a longer stay.
2.5
One of the elevator doors would not open on our floor. A minor inconvenience and the other elevator worked fine. The freeway noise was very loud but the room was very nice with a full length mirror and plenty of charging ports. The round digital room keys were very cute.
2.0
Had reservations for the suite but when we arrived we were told that it wasn’t available…again!
2.5
This is a perfectly located hotel at the 405 freeway and Sunset Blvd. It’s easy to get to and from anywhere in the area. Staff is friendly and restaurant on the top floor has good food selection - breakfast through dinner and amazing views. I use it for business travel but itsc excellently priced and great value.
2.0
The hotel was comfortable the staff friendly. It would be nice if the bar and restaurant stayed open later. 10 pm is very early.
1.5
Very noisy as it’s close to the highway. Hard to sleep at night without earphone.
2.5
Great location for easy access to UCLA. Right off 405. My room looked out on the freeway but I was on the 12 th floor. Freeway noise was minimal. Valet parking only. Attendants brought my car up within 5 minutes each time I requested it. Beautiful pool area off the lobby. I did not go to the restaurant but it was on the top floor where I presume there were good sunset views.

We chose to stay here because it looked like a nice place and was very close to the Getty Museum. Check in wasn't great. There wasn't any indication that you HAVE TO valet park and that it costs an additional$40, the front desk person wasn't friendly at all, we were placed in a room directly across from the elevator that had an inch gap between the floor and door so it was very loud. We ordered room service, a pizza and salad, that took over an hour to get to us with the wrong salad. The restaurant staff for breakfast were great. That was about the only good part of our stay
2.0
Close to a highway, loud.
Had two fire alarms in one night, had to go out. Nobody acknowledged any inconveniences.
Coffee place not open all the time, had to wait for someone to show up two days in a row.
1.0
Not friendly. Parking fees high. Services not great.
5.0
Great location, staff and room design. Didn’t like the valet only option
4.0
Overall a good hotel. Parking is expensive and beds are smaller than average bed size in double bed rooms.

It was our first time at this hotel. We will definitely return. Very convenient, easy access and very reasonable.

Excellent experience! Upon arrival I noticed how very clean the grounds were. I was immediately greeted by the valet and helped with my luggage. Check in was super quick. The staff at the desk were very nice and answered all my questions. The lobby area was spotless. Our room was a little on the smallish side, but not uncomfortably so. I think it has to do with the round building. When we entered the room, just as the grounds and lobby were, the room was clean and inviting. The air conditioning had been turned on ahead of time which was wonderful, no one likes walking into a stuffy room. The restaurant was fabulous! The food was great and the bartenders Marcelo and Nikolas were fantastic! They were so personable and fun! The only thing I could say might be a negative for someone is if you're one who needs silence to sleep. The hotel is literally next to a freeway. I was on the 8th floor. Yes, I could hear it. No, it didn't bother me. However, if you're super sensitive to noise you might want to bring some noise cancelling headphones. I will be visiting the area somewhat frequently as I have a kid attending UCLA. I absolutely will be staying here again. It conveniently less than 2 miles away from campus, the staff is phenomenal, the hotel has excellent amenities... like seriously I can't say enough about how positive this experience was! I have found my go to place when visiting L.A. I will definitely be back!

Great value for its location

Hotel restaurant on site was fabulous! Beds were comfy and clean. Valet helpful
5.0
Firstly all staff was great from front desk to dining. We loved the happy hour and had dinner at Wave…delicious! It was a bit loud even on the 14th floor from the 405 and our mini fridge had a busted fan so we had to unplug it. I would stay again and request a pool side room next time. A great place to staycation!
0.5
Horrible experience. Staff is rude and unkept. Room listing is also false since door to balcony is locked and staff won't open them for any reason...so basically no balcony. Will never stay here again.
2.0
Should really advertise that the hotel is right on the 405 and has old windows. Cars were practically in my room.
3.0
My room was small but clean. The noise from I-405 was non-stop (and I was on the side opposite the freeway). The staff were very friendly and helpful. My biggest complaint was the $40 per night (!) charge for valet parking--with no choice but valet parking.
5.0
We absolutely loved staying at Hotel Angelino, the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The restaurant was better than expected and so convenient after arriving from a long drive. Glad we took the time to enjoy the heated pool and lounge chairs are comfy. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.
1.5
Overall a pleasant stay but the valet parking situation let the property down as it seemed unnecessary and expensive. Doors/adjoining walls of guest bedrooms also seemed very thin as noise from neighbours easily passed through.
4.0
It's super clean and staff is friendly

Great property and the staff is super friendly
4.0
Convenient location, clean. Room a bit small but adequate. Parking $40 daily is not appropriate in my opinion.
4.0
The hotel is convenient if you are going to UCLA and they provide free Ubers to the surrounding areas. Rooms are old but in good condition. My only gripe is that noise can be an issue due to proximity to the freeway and most rooms seem to have interconnecting doors and you can often hear your neighbours through the thin doors. You will need earplugs if noise bothers you. Having said that, the front desk very kindly give my friends and I rooms facing away from the freeway as we were staying for over a week. That was much appreciated!
4.0
I like the proximity to UCLA and westwood
4.0
Very close to UCLA and highway. Room was nice.
