Old school hotel, slightly outdated, but has the old school vibe which is nice. Overall good.

I loved the view. The one thing that really bothered me is at 9:30 a.m. I have the cleaning lady opening my door as I just got out of the shower when regular check out is 12:00. I felt my privacy was violated, and at 12:00 Someone else knocking on the door when I paid an extra $50 for a 2:00 check out.

Not very happy , it was our first time The room we got checked into was not clean they changed our room then after was upgraded to a suite but got charged without my consent until i just checked my bank The staff was very friendly but overall for our first experience being in chicago was not very impressive

Carpet needs replacing. It was badly stained in our room - which was our 2nd room. Our 1st room smelled like smoke - likely due to old carpet. But staff was fantastic in getting us a new room immediately. It’s a well-run hotel that just needs some updating. Beds are fantastic - very comfortable. TV is easy to navigate unlike many hotels. Water pressure and shower are great. Quiet at night and great location. Will stay there again.

This was possibly the worst hotel stay I’ve ever experienced. For starters, we were given the keys to someone else’s room! Luckily the man was not in his room at the time we entered. However, this is extremely dangerous and should not have occurred!!!! We were then “upgraded” to a suite that smelled awful. Whatever the odor was, it seemed to be in the carpet. Not wanting to go BACK down to the desk for a second time, and being aware that the rooms were sold out for the weekend, my daughter & I decided to tough it out. We went out for the night (bought an air freshener) & upon returning our room keys didn’t work. This led me to believe someone may have been given access to our room just as we were earlier in the evening. The next morning someone was knocking on our door around 9 and I heard them proceed to open the door and try to enter. If I wouldn’t have had the extra lock on she would have come right into the room. It was housekeeping! Why was housekeeping knocking on the door and then attempting to enter our room at that hour?! The next morning around 10, the same thing, a knock and then an attempt to come in! It wasn’t close to check out time and we hadn’t asked for anything from the front desk. Unacceptable! When I stay at a hotel I expect to feel comfortable, safe & have privacy. I also expect the room to smell and feel clean! None of which occurred with this trip. I placed a call to management the first night and as of today, he still has not returned my call.

A great old bldg., in excellent condition and prime location

This hotel is charming-very attractive. My room was a bit smaller this time-I’ve stayed in suites, king bed rooms, etc. My room had a great layout-one queen bed, a big desk and chair, coffee maker with Starbucks coffee-lovely bathroom with step-in shower, great mirrors, lighting and hair dryer, a closet with hangers, full length mirror, iron and ironing board. Bed was very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean! Front desk personnel were friendly and accommodating! I’ve stayed here many times over the years- I keep coming back because I can count on the consistent quality and service!

Great location and wonderful staff. Not well equipped for drinking cups or luggage racks for suitcases. Parking was too expensive but valet staff was very good.

Staff attitude toward Japanese is not good. Rooms are relatively clean.

Great location right off the magnificant mile and walkable to the northwestern medical center. Friendly staff and reliable house keeping.

The location is great and service is kind. This was my second stay. My only issues were that the room last time had a very loud AC - not a big deal cuz I like ambient noise when I sleep, but it was loud enough to wake me. And the second visit there was stale popcorn on the floor and hair that didn’t belong to me in the shower - they even ‘cleaned’ the room the second night and the hair was still on the shower wall - the toilet also shook when you flushed. Either way I’d still stay again due to the convenience and overall service.
