Great property

Wish I had an upstairs room
2.5 / 5.0
Clean and comfortable. This stay fit out needs well. You can hear a little noise from the floor above but not much. There is a restaurant on site with a nice view - menu is small and prices are tourist prices, but it fit out needs and food was good. The bathroom is a little snug, but overall nice and for our needs. Location is hard to beat for park access. The little balcony was nice for coffee in the morning.

Love the view, accessible to downtown area about 10 minutes.

Rooms are tiny, beds are quite uncomfortable and there’s not much space to open bags/store stuff.
Despite location views from room are terrible - just overlook other rooms instead of outdoors.
There are some convenient food options - esp grab and go early in the morning and they have a shuttle service to the park.

There were 4 used towels left in our room when we checked in. 2 were in the bathroom and 2 behind the TV. The food at the mountaineer grill was good.

The views are great and their sister lodge is just up the hills. Awesome walking trails.

Shuttle was great taking to town and to the park! Staff was superb! Beds could be a bit softer but nothing a few pillows couldn’t fix!
2.0 / 5.0
The overall condition of Denali Bluffs was great. Although our room (and the bathroom!) reeked of smoke. Fortunately they moved us to another room.
Parking was a bit of a walk to the rooms.
And the shuttle was useful for stopping down ‘in town’ or going to Denali National Park.

This hotel has pluses and minuses. Pluses are friendly staff, comfortable clean room, restaurant, bistro and bar on-site. Decent views of mountains but not Denali. Minuses are checkout time of 10:00 am with staff promptly knocking at 9:59, balcony for our building 10 is view of neighboring building that is very close, people on neighboring balcony or walking path having loud conversations both early and late, very limited parking, trek from parking lot to room that is on uneven surfaces, not covered and can be quite a distance with heavy luggage. No elevators if staying in upper room. Restaurant on site that was closed for breakfast at 10 am and cafe on site that was open at 10 but served no breakfast items other than coffee. The same restaurant for dinner was very good.

The property is one of the closest to the Denali entrance with an hourly shuttle to Denali you can walk to Denali, takes about an hour to reach the visitor center
There is a small strip of shops near the hotel but need to walk down a steep hill to get there

Beautiful views and room.

No sinage directing us from train to shuttle. Our shuttle was at the far end of the parking area of many busses. There was a sign on dashboard of very large bus. It might not have been used because it was pretty windy.

Very close to the park which was a plus. It was fine place to stay but given the price I was disappointed. The room was basic. We walked to a number of other resorts which had better amenities on site (i.e. sitting room in lobby and outdoors, scenic views etc.) Overall, just okay.

Everything in Denali is going to be pricy. We just planned on it. We got the deluxe roo because it was updated and offered a better view.
Shops and restaurants are all walking distance.

Limited parking in front of hotel. As property is on hill, may be somewhat difficult walking up and down to parking lot.
Like that they have dinning option at property.

Rooms are very dated and not well maintained

Great place to stay while exploring Denali.

This was a convenient place to stay. Close to shopping. Your bus picked us up from the hotel and that was easy. We had lukewarm water for our showers. The bath towels were yellowed and very rough. The restaurant was good. I was disappointed that the cafe offered no non-meat options for breakfast. They said they are working on more options.

Rooms were too small and had to walk outside in the elements to the restaurants.

Happy that it was open during the fires.

Great location for visiting Denali National Park. Rooms were very small and you could hear everything from other rooms around us. Parking was not great. There are just a few spots in the main lot and then two other overflow lots down the hill. Wasn’t bad if someone with a golf cart was available to drive you up the hill to the resort but that wasn’t typical.

We were lucky to have a view from our balcony and the room was clean. Unfortunately the water was only tepid over our entire stay. We really hated not being able to have a hot shower as the weather was cold and wet. On contacting reception we were told to check that we were using the hot tap and to leave it running for 15 minutes. This was of no help.
We ate in the restaurant one night but the food was lukewarm as well. The service was poor and we couldn’t catch a waiter to ask for the food to be reheated.

Amazing views, nice newer room, good location - walkable to any place in town and to the Park, and convenient hike to the Denali Grande Hotel & Sugarloaf Trail. The only problem was the food. We bought two terrible sandwiches at the coffee shop ($30) and the breakfast buffet cost $29/person…$6 more than the buffet at the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge.

It was just okay…for the price it was underwhelming. The location and views were awesome but that was about it.

I loved how they met us at the train, they handled our bags, we just hopped on a bus and the bags went to our room. Very hassle free. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. I would stay here again.
