as the N° 1 address in Yaounde rather OK as there is just no competition. Needs urgently renovation of (some? all? ) rooms which have the typical Hilton standard of 25 years ago. No all items of Room Service are available. To summarize, if you need to be in Yaound and can afford it, the Hilton is the best choice.

Check in took a long time. The lady was polite about the delay;however, both during check in and check out the reception tried to get me to pay again despite having already paid. The room was spacious and quiet, but dark at night. The pillows were too soft/flat. You can’t drink the water yet you only get two small water bottles, then you have to pay 2,500 XAF per small bottle. Carpet looked worn down. We went to the rooftop our first night and not a single waitress or other member of staff gave us a menu until 20 or so minutes of being there and then same problem trying to order so we left. The lady by the elevator then asked why we were leaving and when I explained she put her hands to her cheeks and said “O La La”… Breakfast was nice and so was the service in the restaurant. Internet was so bad that we stopped trying and bought data packages.

Reception staff are cold, lacking in warmth and enthusiasm. The rooms feel outdated, with carpets exacerbating mosquito issues. Breakfast service is marred by rude management and unsmiling waitstaff, who appear bothered by requests and disorganized. Additionally, overheard negative remarks from staff contribute to an unpleasant atmosphere. Overall, this hotel's ranking seems inflated due to lack of competition. Rating: 4.5/10.

It's the only 5 star hotel in Cameroun. But has only the stars... services, cleaning, quality, hotel facilities and rooms are even lower than any others 3 stars Camerounese. The only thing which it match with the 5 stars (and even over) is the price coz it's definitely overpriced. Apparently, the only duty or target of staff is to recommend continuously to leave a positive feedback about them in case of customer survey from Hilton dep., and this is their target. If you may need anything else like clean water (not brown) for shower or something to avoid the bad smelling of room’s carpet you’ll be systemically ignored postponing any solution to the day after your check-out Ridicules and Unreasonable!!!!

Should not bear the brand name Hilton when you can’t possibly deliver the Hilton quality. The basic minimum for a hotel is to provide a bed to sleep and whater to shower. Well.... if you are looking for water to shower, you can look somewhere else. No pressure, no water, no shower and $400 a night. Thank you for one of the worst hotel experience Hilton Yaounde.

Given that I did the booking quite late, I can understand high prices but 360+ euro per night is very expensive. Quite pleased with the hotel as I have been there multiple times, service is good, cleanliness is ok. Only issue: I don’t know where the problem was but for both myself as my colleague, the hotel did not want to believe the stay was already paid up front (they received no info from Experian).

The Hilton in Yaoundé has no competition, so they can pretty much do what they want and charge as much as they want. The restaurant staff and cleaning ladies have however done their best to make the stay enjoyable. The hotel however is at risk of being below standard for lack of investment, and the rooms need a little upgrade. 2 cold showers in 3 days. Finally the reception staff promised late checkout when I checked in, and they changed their mind on departure day, which was not very nice.

it was a rip off, 300 $ a night and you have to pay extra for the internet, TV chanels are a joke, foot is not worth half the money and on top i had to pay more then 200US for early arrival ( arrived 9.30 am in the morning )

Finally stayed here after many trips to Yaoundé. Nice property, pricey, and I was unhappy with the upselling at the front desk. It is a good location, restaurant staff is friendly in the morning. Didn't do lunch or dinner here as the area has some great places to eat.
