Pool was full with green water. Bed mattress was terrible hard not comfortable. Pillows were terrible. No hot water for shower.

The photos of the hotel are completely inaccurate. The hotel was in poor shape and construction was going on. None of this was disclosed properly on the website. The hotel restaurant was only open limited for breakfast. The bar was closed. The area is not near any other amenities so we had to drive to eat.

We booked a double bed room. We got there and was given a king room with a sleeper sofa. After traveling for 13 hours we were looking forward to having a bed for each of us. We were told they were sold out of double bed rooms. Not other options. Just disappointed and exhausted!

This hotel seems like it was once nice but they haven’t been keeping it up. Carpets were kind of gross and the dispenser for shampoo, conditioner etc had broken off the wall and was propped in the corner and not filled. The gym was in poor condition and not clean. The pool was closed and the ice machine didn’t work. They are renovating the upper flors so maybe it will improve.

This hotel is old and tired. When we checked in, the sink didn't drain; we had to pull the drain plug to get the shower to drain. 3 of the ice machines weren't working (only 4 in the building). old, stale tired decor. Even though there were air fresheners in the hallways, the room smelled like smokers had used it.

This property is in serious need of a full rehab / refurb. Carpets are worn & torn? Walls nicked and scuffed. Bathroom from 1960’s. Very surprised Marriott hasn’t pulled the name.

I checked in on Sunday July 14 2024. There was just a bad storm internet was down they couldn't issue keys etc (I'm not upset about that its life things happen) i booked through Expedia pay at hotel however Expedia has my debt card on file. I gave the clerk my credit card she made a copy which i was a little uncomfortable needless to say both cards were charged and the supposed GM was very unprofessional about the whole situation

This hotel has all the potential to be excellent. The location is convenient, the staff friendly and efficient, but the whole place has a vibe of not really being well- maintained. Our room smelled strongly of mustiness that was attempting to be covered by strong air freshener. The bathroom was cleanish, but the shower controls were a little busted and janky. There was a coffee maker in the room, but no coffee to put in it, only tea bags. The carpet was peeling up in the elevator. Overall, it just felt like the place needed a little love from the owners to be as nice as the lovely staff they had working at the desk.

Smells really good soon as you walk into the lobby. Staff was nice and friendly but she was by herself and was overworked. The air didn’t work properly so it wouldn’t stay cold in the room . The floor had stains on it and the toilet kept getting stopped up and wouldn’t flush. The location was great and everything else was clean.

The staff checking in us was so so lovely. One of the gals was obviously training or new, and the other was well versed in the check in process and kindly helped the other one get us all squared away. They gave tips on where to go in the area for drinks & food. We were only there for one night before meeting up with our group in downtown Charleston. Otherwise, it wasn't much better than a roadside motel. The carpet was absolutely disgusting. Stains EVERYWHERE in the room. I didn't take my shoes of until I was in the bed. The shower had moldy corners. The water pressure was bad. There was hair on the bathroom floor upon our arrival. The bed was loud and squeaky every time my husband or I moved, waking me up anytime one of us shifted in the night (I'm not a light sleeper). The air-condition unit blew air that smelled like wet dog. The bistro was supposed to open at 6:30a but it wasn't so we couldn't get breakfast or decent coffee before we left at 8:30am. This is hands down the worst Marriot property I have ever stayed at. We were only there for 10 hours so not much point in having the hotel fix all of this upon our arrival but I will definitely be skipping this spot if we find ourselves back in the area.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The hotel was dirty, and in bad disrepair. Items throughout the room and common areas were damaged. The room itself was clean enough, but the hallways and lobby were very dirty. Ice machine on first and second floors were out of order. Furniture was old bad badly damaged, door handle to balcony was damaged, outlets in room didn’t work, lights in wall fixture were out, poor lighting in bathroom.

Bed was comfortable. They couldn’t get the key card machine to work, so we didn’t have a key to our room. Stains all over the floor in our room, tub didn’t drain, no hand soap in the room.

Booked and paid for a room online and the hotel cancelled my reservation. They gave me no reason and the older night clerk was extremely rude about it. I was able to get a refund from Expedia however it will take a few days. Absolutely horrible and unprofessional experience. Would not recommend this hotel.

I was disappointed that what I requested on Hotels.com was not received by the hotel. I did not get the type of room I requested. The outside pool/courtyard area looked like it hadn’t been cared for since the winter. Pool was not open or clean during our May stay. Also, the hotel was short staffed so they were not able to fulling clean the room any day.

When I checked in , I was told that some things may not be up to par. Room was okay, clean, the furniture is somewhat beat up, but the cable was not working. When I asked about it, they informed me that there was a tech on the property working on it at 10 pm on a saturday night, that was a lie, there was no cable truck anywhere in sight. Also, there was no free breakfast, only a small counter selling some muffins and such. This was supposed to be the restuarant... I would not stay there again and would not recommend to anyone!

The room was quite pleasant. The only complaint I have is that the TV did not work all weekend. My husband and I alerted the front desk five different times about the situation and nothing was done about it.

We stayed here as it was close to the convention center and because it was supposed to have a pool it has an outdoor pool that was green and not running the restaurant if that’s what you call it had no food. The a/c would not keep up room was hot. Very disappointed but staff was very nice and helpful.

My Room didn’t have hot water, the maid never left towels in the room, I had to asked for them, The pool w wasn’t accessible, it was dirty, Our beds were never made unless we ask, and they didn’t clean the bathroom every day. But the staff deserves all 5 stars, they were excellent and the Manger Brian went out his way for me and my friends, 5 stars for the Manager.
