I am scheduled for back surgery in 2 weeks. Upon arriving, I was informed that the elevator was out, and that my room was on the top floor. My explanation of needing a lower floor because of my back was met with "That's all we have at the moment." I was not offered any assistance with my bags up the stairs. I was not offered an apology for the elevator being out. Horrible customer service.

I have been a loyal Marriott, JW Marriott and Courtyard by Marriott customer for over 30 years! BEWARE of the Topeka Courtyard by Marriott! A makeup bag with over $500 in product was stolen by housekeeping and all I got was an “I’m sorry” from management.

This is my third time staying at this hotel and I love it more and more everyday. I have actually been looking into moving down to Topeka because the city is so quiet and lovely and the locals are very friendly! Not to mention the amazing food and cost of the room a definite 10/10 stay!

I believe we may have got a wheelchair accessible room, but not sure. It was just awful. Tub was stained, felt like it went downhill and was going to collapse at any moment. This made it sketchy to get out. There was only one small chair for two people. No couch or 2nd chair. Sink area was incredibly small, nowhere to put anything. Smoke detectors or something right above the bed with lights shining on you at night. Sliding glass door impossible to open and close which led to a sorry looking outdoor courtyard. Patios with breaking concrete, sorry looking grass. The bed was comfortable and ac worked great. This property spent a lot of money on common area where no one cares and left rooms, or at least this one, with much to be desired. I did inquire about a different room, but they said none were available. Inquired if booked again could we request room with couch and told no guarantee, it’s all based on reservations at the time of checkin. Will not return.

Interior was redone but poorly exterior looked trashy. Courtyard was ghetto looking. Would not recommend staying here again unless the price dropped down. Much nicer hotels in the area.

Hotel seems dirty as does the surrounding area. The mall it's in is closed and barren and the parking lot is ridiculous where you park in back but have to walk to the front for entry.

I stay in hotels all the time. I would have expected a Marriott chain to be top notch. Not this one. My bed had something spilt all down it. AFTER IT was made. Only thing they could do was flip the mattress change the bed skirt mattress pad and linens. I asked for a new bed. They don’t have extras. My sheets didn’t even fit. They were all out of Queen anything. Had to put king everything on the bed. I had to ask for a microwave which they provided. The room was dirty/ dusty. The bathroom door didn’t shut the latch was off centered. The window was old obviously not included in the remodel it whistled all night long when the wind blew. And we know the wind can blow in Kansas. They offered credit at the restaurant/ bar. I never used it. the whole place was too dirty to even fathom eating there. I feel the entire staff is just lazy!! They didn’t do their jobs. If I wasn’t in town for a funeral I would have changed hotels but I didn’t have that kind of time to do so. Shame on Marriott for even letting this place rent rooms. Oh yeah, they just remodeled. Ha.

Staff were LOVELY! Both reception and restaurant staff were amazingly sweet and helpful. Stayed here before and after Unbound Gravel and was able to prep my bike in the room. Breakfast at the bistro was excellent and the young lady running the restaurant was very helpful and did an excellent job. Elevator was a little dodgy and the area around had a lot of sirens and noisy cars drag racing up and down the street. Hotel was clean, room was clean, only issue with the room was the TV turning on randomly at 1:30am the night before Unbound, which wasnt ideal.

I really was disappointed in the pay for breakfast. The wait for microwaved food was too long and it was too expensive. When I checked out on Sunday morning around 7:00AM - there was no breakfast. I’m very ok with the standard continental breakfast you usually get at hotels.

The lighting outside is dim especially in the back. The HVAC in room 301 did not cool adequately. The courtyard in the back was a mess with tables and chairs laying over. The grass in the courtyard was sparse. An open plumbing repair in the courtyard was an open ditch with no flagging. The lobby area and bar was very nice.

Ants in the room and extremely noisy throughout the night. We were on the first floor close to the front desk and there is no way they did not hear the running and screaming through the night. I expected some sort of credit but was offered nothing.

First room had a toilet that didn’t flush. Second room was fine. The place is older and a bit dingy. Only one elevator. Bistro was manned at night by someone lounging around rather than appearing as if she wanted to be helpful.

We weren't able to make it, we were in a terrible wind storm, i called the hotel to tell them we couldn't make it, i told them i got a marriott, same as theirs for the night, they said no refund. So, we basically paid double. Just thought we would experience some kindness.

2 different rooms..1st room the television just cut off..the service desk lady was not able to get it back on. Shower ran all over the floor, so i was relocated. Lost the balcony which was nice. Room2..seemed to be ok.until I turned on the lights..ants EVERY WHERE!!!TERRIBLE..service guy srnt maintenance..but checked out way early..the ants had covered my food so the front desk comped food..then food server was all over the place..confused..I was very disappointed with this visit..we usually stay at Marriott brand..this was definitely a D service

I’ve traveled a few different places and places. This hotel has been one of the best I’ve been in. Your staff is amazing when it comes to friendly and welcoming. I’ll be staying there again when I’m in Topeka!!

The hotel and our room were fine. The front desk, checking in and out went smoothly. But the bistro was way understaffed, got our breakfast order wrong, and were way too expensive for what we got. We would not recommend eating there, atleast not for breakfast.

Hotel was filthy!!! No one ever cleaned our rooms. Hallways , elevator, front entrance were never swept the entire stay! But 2 people set up front on phones when we came in and out during the day!! Will not stay at a Marriott again for awhile!

Everything was comfortable. Best night of sleep I had on our 4 day road trip to Denver. Loved it. Would definitely return. Really appreciated our dogs being able to stay with us.

We enjoyed our stay with our four dogs. The Suite was clean and spacious, check in was great too. There were a couple of issues such as the coffee maker not working, a bad lightbulb and a broken sliding door lock. I am sure it will be fixed quickly.

The property was located in a decent area not too far off from the highway. There was plenty of parking available. Check-in was very easy — I checked-in from the road using my app and just had to stop at the front desk to provide a CC for incidentals.
