Friendly check in, front desk clerk said we should stay on 2nd floor since the only room.ok the first floor was by the laundry room and he said that gets noisy. We took the stairs after check in, then left for my daughters hockey game. We took the elevator when we got back because her hockey bag is large to carry up stairs. The elevator smelled like someone had smoked weed. (I only know the smeĺl from a different hotel at another tournament recently and my police friend visited and educated me). The smell in the elevator was overwhelming and we had to pull our coats over our face and hold our breaths. The hotel was so clean, that was very unexpected. The elevator in the morning was fine. But - it seems to be a growing issue in hotels and i thought I should let someone know. Great stay other than that elevator ride.

Room was clean and service was friendly. But the hallway to our room has filthy and smelled like marijuana. So did the elevator.

Where to start. The carpet in the downstairs hallway was duct taped down. The tile work in the elevator is cracked, and not well done around the edges. The hallway rug on our floor was heavily stained, looks to have been laid above a previous floor covering, and was not well done. Pain was peeling off the exterior of the room doors. The room looked good at a quick glance, but more poor repair work was done here and simply painted over to ‘refresh’. Had to push down hard on the door lock system to get the dead bolt to line up to lock. The place doesn’t instill confidence that things are being done to any standards. Not worth the price they are charging, though it is cheap.

The hotel was great, everything we needed. Downside…nothing close as far as food. The room was never cleaned except for garbage being taken out and clean towels to replace the dirty ones. Bath tub didn’t drain until I pulled out all the nasty hair from the drain. We traveled with our toddler granddaughter and I had to clean the tub every night before her bath. The room had a coffee maker but coffee was never replaced. We bought our own. Breakfast was a big plus. The hotel was mainly full of out of town tree service workers, all of them very nice and respectful. Pool area and work out room very nice. Although no clean towels when we wanted to use the pool. I would say 7 out of 10

This place is a repeat stay for me when traveling for my sport tournaments. Staff have always been amazing and given the extra effort. Wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else. Pool is well kept, rooms always clean n tidy. Plus the complimentary breakfast has good range. Definitely recommend. #Awesome Sauce

I arrived approx. 2.5 hrs before check-in time. I asked the front desk lady if I could check-in & come back later to get into my room because I knew I was too early. She checked on the computer & said there was a clean room that she could give to me. I asked if there'd be extra charge. She said no additional charge. My bedroom & bathroom were spotless. Bed was comfortable. I like the location of the hotel too, away from hustle & bustle, but it's still close enough by car. Breakfast was okay. Coffee was available all day. Unfortunately, swimming pool was closed for maintenance for a few days. Overall, I was pleased with my stay. I'll definitely stay there again when I visit Charlotte in the future.

The best part of my stay was the breakfast prepared by one staff member. I failed to get her name, but her preparation and presentation of the food was amazing. I have had many a breakfast in higher priced hotels and she wins a blue ribbon for first class food prep. She made my stay very enjoyable.

The staff was excellent, helping my friend with his accommodations. We received anything we asked for. Check-in and check-out was so easy. We loved the free breakfast which was made on site, and different every day. The hotel was under construction, but only during the day while we were out. Special thanks to Esteban and Claudia, and to all of the housekeeping staff (didn't get their names). Would definitely recommend!

If I could have found a better hotel in this area, I would have happily paid more money for it. This place was under renovation unbeknownst to us, humid, musty, and filthy. Bathrooms aren't properly stocked, rooms are humid, breakfast is barely edible, and cleanliness doesn't have a standard here. I hope they see this review and decide to seek better management and a stronger housekeeping team. This was a glorified rat hole in a decent location, but nothing more than that.

Arrived at the room to find it smelled like an ashtray. I’m not a high maintenance person and can tolerate a lot, but the smell was so bad that all of us started coughing. I went down and requested another room and the daytime female worker was helpful and friendly. She moved us to another room, which was better but there was still a cigarette stench. It was the last available room. I went to target and bought a small air purifier. It did not seem to help. That night, I asked the night manager for some spray and told him about the stench. He did not seem too concerned or offer and apology. He did finally bring up some spray. All three of us woke up congested this morning. And no, we are not highly allergic individuals.

Our facility had an inaccessible lobby blocked by walls, covered in contractor's plastic sheeting, floor to ceiling; the floor leading to the Front Desk mostly covered with cardboard taped down to protect the floor; the main hall to the first floor rooms with ceiling panels along its entire length missing, revealing plumbing, electrical cables, and new coils of wiring hanging down into the hall below the dropped ceiling; hall carpet with painters' tape along much of the baseboard and paint drips and stains scattered over it; no framed prints nor other decorations anywhere the entire length of this hall (nor in our room, as we soon discovered!); our room with no decoration other than furniture, walls covered in dull, primer paint, and hard floors, possibly concrete, designed to resemble wood flooring; and one leg of the room's desk chair standing in a puddle of what appeared to be a cola drink.There was a floor lamp in the front seating area and a table lamp between the queen beds. That's it in two rooms painted in primer gray. The hotel was NOT, in any regard, ready for guests, certainly, not for the price! Expedia put us into this hotel because my original Expedia booking, made only days before, was "no longer available" as I discovered responding to their voice mail. Suffice it to say, I have used Expedia for the last time. Photos available.
