The place was definitely run down and cheap. It served the purpose of just having a place to crash for 1 night. I will not stay at this hotel again,!

It was horrible. There was roaches crawling everywhere.

The front office closes at 7 and is closed on the weekends. They give you a number to call for after hours and some random guy answers with just “hello? Who’s this?” We got in late after a 7 hour drive and they couldn’t find my reservation. I had to go someplace else because the guy said there was nothing he could do. No. Just no.

The steps and the stairway smell of urine the staff was not there when I got there , overfilled 40 ft dumpster with bedding , dogs walking around , you could not pay me to stay there , even if the lady didn't cancel my room I would not have stayed there anyway, , the place is a dump .

Meet me at the desk, gave me a room with someone in it, tried to call with no answer. Finally called back and took forever to get us a room. Table fell over, doors came off hinges. Very dirty.

Everyone was very nice at the hotel. It was peaceful and convenient travel to our destination from there.

I tried very hard to make the best of this hotel but unfortunately I would not recommend and we left before staying overnight. There were quite a few bugs crawling on the walls, burn holes in the comforter on the bed, the kitchen area was not clean including the burners and the inside/outside of the fridge. Not to mention check-in was 3:00 but we couldn’t get into our room until 5:00…because they were cleaning it? The toilet paper was wet on the side with a lot of discoloration which we were told was the “die from the packaging”(but why was it ok to offer TP wet in the first place?) Our non-smoking room also smelled very much like smoke.
The gentleman at the desk was kind but this establishment could use lots of cleaning and insect treatments before being offered to travelers.

Only stayed because of price. It really should be advertised as hotel. Only stayed because in budget. There were roaches. The laundry area doesn’t work. The long term residents that stay there are not clean. I can tell the staff does the best that it can. Owner needs to address cleanliness. Cheap flooring in rooms

It felt like people lived there and that it wasnt a place to stay for a mother and teenage daughter on vacation. The guy that checked us in was the best part. He was very kind. It smelled like Marijuana everywhere, people out of the balcony at all times of the night screaming at people on the phone about personal things, toys piled up in the parking lot. Its like people lived there and it was very uneasy staying there because we felt like we was invading other peoples privacy. There was a huge bug in the bathroom, the floor didnt feel like they had been mopped and trash was under the bed. We also did not have a garbage can in the room.

I booked a room here on our way down to Florida yesterday because my daughter and friend wanted to see the town. I don’t even know what to say about the hotel. It is by far the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed at. The bathroom is figuring and has filth and what appears to be mold on the walls, the fridge is dirty, the floor is dirty, the room smells horrible and the safety arm on door is broken off and I could barely get the deadbolt locked. I would like a full refund-

We booked this hotel for one-night the night before check-in. It was a spontaneous decision. The price after tax was around $95. I booked a king studio for the night. The gentleman who checked us in was super nice and helpful! Looking back, I should've just canceled the reservation and went somewhere else. People are living there full-time and are hanging out in the stairwells and the parking lot. Normally not a problem, but it did make me feel a little bit uncomfortable and unsafe. Our original room was on the 3rd floor right by the stairwell, which was perfect. Except when we got up there and unlocked the door the bed sheets were bunched up on the bed, there was fastfood bags full of trash on the counter, and a key to the room thrown on the floor. I go back into the office and he's apologetic and gets me a new room. The new room is about 10 doors down from the original room. At first glance, it looks rather nice: the bed's made, no trash, etc.. It wasn't until we started to settle in that I started to notice the little specs of dirt on the bed. The bathroom had hair dispersed on the walls and tub. The toilet had a bit of regurgitated food on the water tank lid. There was crumbs and dirt and dead bugs on the floor. In the time it took me to change my pants and put my shoes back on, my feet were black. The office is only open from 11-7. We were in the office as soon as they opened and it took 22 minutes to hand in the keys because people were renewing their stay.

The staff was absolutely sweet. Room was dirty filth sticky around the doors walls sheets were at first dirty and then got new ones thanks be to God for that. Smoke smell toilets and shower hair and dirt around and sink absolute filthy. I will never come back. But again staff was sweet condition super dirty horrible

Reserved a king bed. When we arrived my husband sat and sunk into the bed. We thought it was just one side was softer than the other. Well, when I looked underneath the bed, the king mattress was on a queen bed frame. As you can imagine part of the mattress was not supposed.
The bathroom door was not on the top hinges. Pictures below.

This place should not be offered as a place to stay from hotels.com… the area did not look to great, it’s more of an apartment complex instead of a hotel, and not to mention the room was disgusting…. Not to mention the fact that our air conditioner unit had been RIPPED OUT OF THE WALL and there was a giant hole to the outside. It was like no one checked the room before letting us check in. We had to scramble to find a new hotel during a convention weekend. We managed to find one but had to pay double because of the the last minute booking. I should honestly be reimbursed for the new hotel simply from the inconvenience. Does hotels.com even inspect these places???

The room was absolutely disgusting!! Hair and old soap was still in the shower. The table beside the bed was covered in a oily substance and the floor looked like it was never swept or mopped. Absolutely awful. I had no choice but to stay there since they had no extra rooms and everywhere else was booked. I was overcharged.

The price was fair and the place was quiet but there was a few things I wasn't pleased with the major issue was I found a roach in my room which was totally disgusting. I took a picture of it I also thought the water pressure in the shower was terrible and there was no remote to the TV.

I booked a room at this facility recently and paid through Expedia.com. When I arrived later about 10:00 pm that night, there was no manager or staff present just a phone number. I called the number the man answered saying that if I booked after 6pm it had to be for the next day. There’s no night manager or key left. I explained I need a refund. He told to contact Expedia and that this happens often. I contacted Expedia and explained the situation to the online virtual assistants. I received an email saying They “were unable to contact management at Hometowne Studios by Red Roof Inn in Covington, Georgia. So my refund was denied.” Not only am I disgusted. Trying to find another hotel room at night after driving for hours to get there only to find out I can’t get the room I paid for. I’m profoundly disappointed! They should note on their website that if you book the room after 6pm, reservation must be for next day, but not the same day due to no one being there. So buyers ware!
