The hotel & room was clean and room spacious. Very good pressure on shower but really the bath should be removed and just a shower tray - much safer. My only fault - and this is personal preference - is the bed was very hard and as such didnt sleep well. The breakfast was plentiful, good variety & mostly fresh. Overall good value for money, just a shame about the lack of sleep.

I loved the location and breakfast buffet, complete with a mimosa station. One of the people working the desk lacked genuine kindness and did not help much when I tried to schedule a train. I would have provided a perfect score had our interactions (more than once) been more pleasant.

Ideally situated on the main street in Setubal, close to the attractions like the Fish Market, the baixa (city centre) and the Troia Ferry terminal (and next door to McDonalds if you don't want to try the local food!). Lovely views from the 5th floor breakfast room (with a generous buffet) and comfy clean rooms.

The room, which states city view, was looking on to a busy Avenida and the room was above a McDonalds restaurant where there are regular delivery bikes arriving and departing. So it is noisy. I could hear street music, perhaps from some local bars. So the windows are not sound proof. This is my second time to stay at this hotel. The first time I had a single room. The bed was very uncomfortable. This time I booked a double room. Again, the beds and pillows were very firm and in my opinion highly uncomfortable. There was no kettle or tea making facilities in the room, but reception kindly arranged to have a kettle sent up to the room. A kettle, 2 cups and some sugar promptly arrived, but no tea or coffee sachets! I had my own so I managed. This hotel is a basic 3 star at best, in my opinion. I did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that. As with most Portugese hotels, the room was very clean. I had booked for 2 nights. But I left after 1 night because my business in Setubal was finished and it didnt appeal to me to stay there for the second night, mostly because of the uncomfortable firm bed and pillows. Firm beds may not be an issue for others.

The hotel is perfectly and conveniently located, and everything is super walkable. We initially got a room with a window issue, so we asked to switch and the staff were able to put us in another room. We appreciated their expediency in accommodating the change. The staff were great. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the shower good, and there was very minimal outside noise, especially given the hotel faces a main street and park. There's no parking but there is a large parking lot close by, which was an approx. 2-minute drive (and 5-minute walk) away that's associated with the theatre across the street. At the time of our stay (Mar 2024) it was €3 for 24 hours.

Fantastic stay! Great location, convenient to waterfront, shopping and many, many fantastic restaurants. Breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly. I would highly recommend this Hotel.

This is a basic hotel. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Hotel.com Gold members are not given the priority welcome as stated. Service is not standard as some staff are friendly and helpful and others are not. Breakfast is good with standard continental variety. I will not recommend for a long stay. My family had an uncomfortable stay.

The shuttle bus to airport described in the hotels.com’s descriptions was not available, it made me have to leave earlier and plan the railway back to Lisbon and then to airport! Please revise the descriptions, so that the visitor will not be surprised in front of the front desk!

The check in was smooth, the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast had a good variety of food. We ate breakfast in the restaurant on the top floor with an excellent view of the coast of Setubal.

Wi-Fi extremely slow to conduct any business. Building extremely loud as noise travels easily throughout the rooms. Guests smoke in hallways. Room service cleans extremely late after 4pm

Where do I start, this place is so Amazing All the employees were Superb, friendly, kind, respectful, very welcoming and always willing to help in any way possible to make your stay just wonderful. A country feel with a little extra excitement. A beautiful country feeling with amazing kind people. The Portuguese people are so friendly and welcoming and willing to help in any way possible. Setúbal is a wonderful place to stay at , away from the crazy Lisboa, Lisboa is Beautiful but the country feel of Setúbal is to die for. The port of Setúbal is 2 blocks away, beautiful walk. Fabio at Luna hotel is a wonderful person . He went out of his way to make our stay memorable. I will come back to Setúbal again

This was not a good experience. The hotel is old and outdated. We did not get a good nights sleep as the walls are so thin, you can hear everything in the rooms around you. Loud noises of water pipes, and toilet flushing. You can hear the next room showering. Everything can be heard. It is so awful. The bed was hard as a rock. The worst I have ever experienced. We had to ask for a mattress topper as it was so painful. Only one iron/ironing board in the hotel, so they dont let you keep it in the room like other hotels allow you to do. The air con was disabled on purpose as they consider the weather not warm enough to allow us to use it. No tea/coffee making facilities. Cramped room. Not enough hangers in the wardrobe. Door key kept malfunctioning. They often don't replenish your bathroom shampoo or shower gels. Reception staff were nice and friendly. But, not the staff in the breakfast room. The main waiter (tall thin man) was utterly miserable. We had a room at the back of the hotel, away from the main road, but it was still noisy. Wont stay here again. Truly awful.

Really nice hotel. The first night we were in a room with a small shower, and when I told them I had been under the impression we would be getting a room with a tub (because that's what the description was on Hotels.com), they moved us into a nicer room with a view of the city, a big bathtub, and a bidet for the rest of our stay. The room unfortunately had a damp smell like mold or mildew, but this was very clearly not an issue with the cleanliness, just with the old building and the humidity of the area. The breakfast is very nice, plenty of options even for picky eaters, and in a room with a fantastic view over the Sado River. Weirdly, guests had to choose a 45-minute time slot for breakfast instead of being able to go have breakfast whenever we chose during the times breakfast was served, but the hotel staff let us be flexible and change this time slot when needed. Housekeeping kept our room wonderfully clean, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. It's in a great location where you can walk to everything in Setúbal. Would definitely stay here again.

The location was excellent we did not use our car for 3 days, Staff at front desk and in Breakfast room were very pleasant, the only problem was smokers were not stopped from smoking in their rooms or in hallways !! Staff apologised but did not control it
