Our room was right next to someone else, we could hear them talk and sneeze. We traveled 1000 miles and needed rest. The hotel was not full so I don't know why we right next to other guests. The bath room had a wobbly toilet right next to the tub. There was not enough room to move around or change clothes. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but checked out the next morning.

Very old building. Rooms are not updated. Bathroom shower was in disrepair and just old. Was mostly clean. The bed was as hard as a rock. Not a comfortable stay. Left after 1 night. Forfeited the second night and drove home.

We enjoyed staying here! It was not very crowded, which was a plus for us. Though we did not use them, the indoor pool and exercise room looked wonderful. We did take advantage of the Happy Hour and spectacular views of the lake.

Beware of “lakeside” room. Yes, you may be facing the lake but what they fail to tell you is that there may be a build in between your room and the lake. Then when bringing up the extra charges for a premium room, you will be treated as if you were the unintelligent one that didn’t read. Manager somehow felt that SHE was the victim. The motel is not very well maintained either. My room smelled as if it was heavily smoked in at one time and something was done to cover up the smell, almost. I could go on and on about the this motel is failing to provide the quality rooms as it presents in the description, but I’m out of characters to leave a longer review.

Our room had extremely hard beds to the point we woke up feeling bruised. We spoke to the front desk about switching rooms. Stephanie was WONDERFUL! She let us check a different room with pillow top beds & made the room switch extremely easy!! Not only that but Stephanie was one of the few employees that was extremely friendly, always with a smile & a wave. Stephanie ROCKS!!

It was very old and the bathroom was very small and out dated. Reminded me of a ran down Super 8 back in the day. Had a mildew smell. We had previously stayed in the area to see our son who lives in the area.

The trip was fine, it was Hotels.com that ruined our 41 Anniversary by getting double charged for the room! I’ll never use this site again! Cost me $225 for a $110 room. Yeah I might have needed MY $115 for our Anniversary!!! THANKS!!!!

I highly recommend staying in the townhouse option if you can. I love the room there, the air conditioner is completely adjustable, I love the tall ceilings it just feels so much more open than the regular rooms. I stay here often for business and will say the regular rooms are good too, but the townhouse is definitely lux!

Our deepest thanks to the staff. The place was a showcase for The Bikeweek. We met fellow riders who were in agreement. I would recommend The Resort to anyone who appreciates excellent service. The Encore had great food,drinks and entertainment.

Broken coffee machine in room. Not enough staff to bring a replacement. Floor was dirty in room. Loud up all night neighbors in the next room. Staff at bar told us they would have the college football game we wanted and when game time arrives no game. Overall a bad experience.

My wife and I went down to the Lake of the Ozarks for a short get away. This is the first time we have stayed at The Resort. The team and the Resort were great. Service was outstanding. When we first pulled into the property we were abit under-whelmed, but after we checked in and went to our room, everything that we had read on the other Expedia reviews was true. Clean, up-dated rooms. Comfortable bed. Plenty of amenities. All at a great price point! We will definitely be back.

I wasn't going to rate the property, but when I realized I brought back bed bugs that infested my house, that was the icing on the cake. So... 1) Walking up to the door to the room, the door wasn't even closed. It was left open. 2) Upon entering the room, the immensely strong odor of bleach was noted. It gave me a horrible headache and nausea as I stayed in the room. 3) The curtains were left hanging off the rod, so I couldn't close them 4) The bathroom door wouldn't close because the hinges made the door sideways 5) There were tiles missing on the floor of the bathroom 6) There were base boards missing from the bathroom 7) There wasn't a place to put your bath soap while you used the shower 8) There's wasn't a hot breakfast. Just cereal, fruit and a toaster 9) One of your staff stood in front of the toaster while talking on his cell phone, blocking everyone from using it. A lady had to literally move him out of the way after trying to be polite with asking. 10) AND the bed bugs!!!! This place WAS THE WORST I've ever been in, and I've stayed at some pretty bad MOTELS. You should be embarrassed working at this place.

The beach house was nice! There were people upstairs that were super loud and that never went to sleep. I would say at least 10 people and there should’ve only been two people in that room. Everything else was nice, the picture and the website is misleading, as there is no entrance to the lake And the beds were rock-hard it almost felt like there was something flat and hard under a half inch mattress. I typically like a firm mattress, but this was terrible. I could barely move the next day.

At the time we went out was quiet and chill. We enjoyed the adult only pool for a few hours and had dinner that night at the bar and grill there and the food was good. The bed could be a bit softer but over all a good experience.

When we checked in on Sunday afternoon our car and perhaps 5 others were in the parking lot. With the hotel not being full we were given a room with a the parking lot view. The whole point to going to the lake is to look at the lake. That was ridiculous.

Elevator out so get prepared to carry suitcases down or up stairs. Wished I’d of known this at booking. No one to help you. Breakfast was only bagels and yogurt and pre-packaged toaster waffles. All gross, just skip it. I got the wrong room and went back to front desk right after check in & since I booked thru hotels.com I was told they couldn’t “change” it. Was not asking to change, was asking for the upgraded room I purchased. Front desk seemed completely uninterested but we were tired so I just was stuck with it. Husband told mgr about wrong room while she was standing at front desk the next morning and she said “ she couldn’t do anything since we’d already gotten 25%off”. I literally have no idea what she was talking about but if that is the hotels.com discount, okaayyy but it’s still discount off the upgraded lake view room price, not what we actually got. She did not seem to understand this. But since we were one of three people up there complaining about something that morning, she was quite dismissive. Plus why the hotel.com hate? I use it for the ease of finding a hotel in an area I don’t know because I read the reviews because they are from verified people who actually stayed there and selection, not so much price. We travel ALOT and you got our business once but you won’t ever get it again. Pool was nice but especially bathroom was poor condition. There are other places to stay and clearly they all seem to be over it.

We had solid service for a good price. I’m not crazy about the motel style rooms, but the facilities were pretty nice. The pool also has a really nice set up. Was kind of an older crowd in the ambience matched. But it was a really neat set up!

Elevator was broken for the entire week of the stay. Staff did offer to assist with bags etc. Continental breakfast is weak. Cereal and packaged muffins. Staff were very friendly and flexible with our large group of bikers!

Very disappointed with room location for supposedly being a handicapped room. It was made very clear (verified once while making reservations and two more times afterwards!) that I had only one leg to get around. Instead I had to get to a ramp, then go back half the length of the building to my room. Shower head was loose and sprayed wherever it wanted to spray. The carpet was filthy and there were no other accommodations available either. The only same level access room available wasn't handicapped. One would certainly expect more for a $200 a night room at a "resort"?! Pet friendly? It was made clear that we had two small dogs (at $70 each for the stay) and the only place to take them was a good 200 yards away! I am very disappointed and will never stay there again nor will I recommend it to anyone else either.
