Really comfortable bed. Room outdated and needed a refresher. The WiFi was absolutely appalling kept constantly dropping out.

Best bed yet. Also quiet. Only one chair in room and arm was loosely broken. Older, easy to walk everywhere, and free parking. Would stay again.

The room was very dirty & smelled. Cigarette burns in the carpets. The shower divider leaked water all over the bathroom floor. Very dated. This place needs a full refresh.

Great property overall but didn’t love the bed since it was protected by some sort of plastic lining which was noisy and very hot to sleep on. Otherwise a great property overall.

The staff was very helpful. Special thanks to Caterina, who gave us great tips and demonstrated patience helping us locate our desired places on the map. The buffet breakfast was outstanding. A fantastic value.

Excellent hotel. Quiet central. Very little in way of information on what activities were available in the area. Very little information on WiFi access. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was very good. Overall the hotel just lacked atmosphere.

Hotel is old and poorly maintained. Rooms are in poor condition and aircondition is very noisy. Neighborhood is questionable. Breakfast was also not a pleasant experience. We couldn't wait to leave and would not recommend this place.

We had an easy Check-In, but we had trouble with the wifi in our room. The front desk showed us how to log in, but when we went back to the room it didn’t work again. Had to call hotels.com because apparently the wifi wasn’t working at all in our sector and they hotel said we couldn’t switch until the following day. After hotels.com’s intervention, they were able to find a room. The breakfast was wonderful, plentiful, varied and had excellent service. Excellent location.

We paid 110 euros for one night. Positives: The reception staff were lovely and helpful. Parking on site was secure. Negatives: The room smelt fusty, was old and tired. We had a fridge in the room that was dirty. There was no mini-bar. There were no tea or coffee making facilities. The bed had a mattress protector on it and was very uncomfortable. The breakfast was terrible. We are vegan and had a slice of toast with jam. The quality of the food offered was bad - fruit was not fresh. The orange juice was cordial. The coffee terrible. Overall: a very expensive hotel for what we experienced. I expected a lot more for the price of one night. Will not return.

Excellent location, close to city center. Friendly staff and great breakfast. The facilities are also excellent, a mix of old and modern, has everything you need for a relaxing stay.

The lobby was lovely and they were nice at the front desk but the room was not even 1 star. There were stains on the carpets, chips on the furniture. The towels in our bathroom were stained. We paid $180 USD and it was way overpriced.

For me the best of this hotel is the people working here, really kind and helpful people. But building and rooms have many issues: poor general maintenance with many small damages here and there. Elevators are in pretty bad conditions. They should spend money and time in general building maintenance. The 4 stars doesn’t represent overall state of the hotel. Disappointed.

The pictures on Expedia do not represent the hotel well, in my opinion. Expedia presents a modern, upscale hotel. The room we got, #116, was nothing like any of the rooms in the photos - the furniture and bathroom shower was dated, the push board ceilings were moldy, and the lighting was not great either. I also found the AC did not work, it would come on at first to reach my desired temp but then not come back on again throughout the night to maintain the room temp. The price does not match the hotel. I have spent much less in Europe (including Portugal) and had a much better experience.
