We have stayed in many Courtyard Marriotts in many places but found this stay so disappointing. Our rooms felt damp and smelled moldy. The pool was not open at night and we were told it would open in the morning at 10am. My kids slept in their bathing suits, so excited for the morning. In the morning, the staff said they had no idea what time the pool staff was coming, and once they arrived it would be about 2 hours until it was okay to swim. We had frustrated kids and frustrated adults and we are just driving home.....

Very pleasant setting close to an up-scale shopping area with a number of good restaurants. The room, the beds, bedding, towels were quite nice. AND the bathroom is spacious, with ample COUNTER SPACE. Counter space is one of my primary criteria for a five-star rating.

It was nice room was clean, but it did not have a microwave and no continental breakfast. Haven't stayed at a hotel in a long time that did not offer complimentary breakfast

The elevator got stuck on the 4th floor and we kept trying to call and no one answered !! It was ki d of embarrassing cause we had guests with us !! ( They did fix it) But it conti ued to make wierd noises so something tells me thats not the first time they've had a problem !!

Nice and clean

The only thing I wasn’t happy about was the first day when we checked in and got our room we went in and the room was still dirty. It wasn’t cleaned. They had to put us in another room that didn’t have the balcony that we paid for. The next day they put us in one. They said they were going to give us a discount but I haven’t seen anything.

I told them I made reservations online with Expedia. Then they charged me multiple times with several different amounts and when speaking with the supposedly manager she suggested to just call my back

Friendly staff

We had a relaxing trip and the hotel was really nice. The staff were especially friendly and helpful.

Our stay went well and we are likely to stay again in the future as we have family in the area. Only issue was one of the two elevators was broken during our stay and some of the hallways were warm. Our rooms were nicely cool though and the staff was all very friendly - even offered to make coffee earlier than normal one morning when my husband got up before the normal hours for it.

I booked a balcony with river view bcz it was the biggest y’all had and there were 3 of us… when I got there they said that room was not available they were overbooked and gave us a smaller room which was very uncomfortable… water also kept backing u in the tub

Nice big comfortable rooms at a reasonable price. We had a balcony view of the river and enjoyed watching the barges and speedboats pass by-wildlife too! We visited Kennywood, which was just a few miles away and enjoyed the movie theater and restaurants that were just across the street.

We wanted to get away for a few days and decided to take a family trip to Pittsburgh. We had stayed in this area over 15 years ago and decided to stay at Courtyard by Marriott this time. The property is very well kept and clean. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. There was an issue with the room that I had initially reserved, and I was a bit upset about that. The front desk clerk was able to give us a discount due to the room issue. I was surprised and very pleased by that! The lobby was very clean. All the employees we came in contact with were very nice and helpful. The room was comfortable. The floors (carpet) maybe needed a bit more cleaning. The pool was open and we used it every day we were there. The pool area was very clean and well taken care of. Same with the workout room. We will definitely stay there again. Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The only downside of our stay was no free breakfast and no microwave in the room. Other than that, our stay was pleasant, and we had a good time.

Great stay

Place was attractively updated and clean. Room and bed were very comfortable. A/C in the bedroom was super noisy.

Employees that work there are miserable and complain all the time. The AC in the lobby area did not work. An employee told us they had been waiting on a part for a month and told us to complain. Sat at the bar and bar tender served us and walked away to go visit with another employee. The wine tasted like vinegar and they had 1 shot of captain Morgan. No one asked us if we wanted food or another drink, but gave us our check immediately after we ordered. The faucet in our bathroom was so wobbly we had to be careful when we used it.

Staff is excellent, very friendly, approachable and helpful. Very clean but dated. Location is fantastic, many restaurants and shopping close by. Beautiful grounds on the waterfront. Ample parking.

There is a smell in the hotel room

The train noise was loud. A waterfront view would help as it’s on the opposite side of hotel.
