The hotel was beautifully decorated and in a great location for the historic center. We had a bottle of wine as room service and parking on site.

We loved staying at Maison Vauban. The owner was super helpful with restaurant and other recommendations for what to see and do in St. Malo. The breakfast was also delicious -- especially the fresh fruit. The rooms on the side or back may be quieter, as there are recycling bins in the front.

Excellently located in the old town St Malo city walls. We stayed for 3 nights and ate and drank very well. Kristof on reception was incredibly helpful with his advice on what to see, do and where to eat and drink. Very impressed with St Malo as a destination with the quality beaches, city walls, restaurants and Breton Cidre ! We used the PayToPark App to pay for our car parking, which worked really well. We were there during a heat wave, so could have done with air conditioning, but it was unusual for it to be that warm.

What a great spot. We were able to find parking right next to the hotel. This was after. Great ride through the walled city. Staff was friendly and helpful. Classic French breakfast. Great location in a great city. Highly recommend.

Loved this place! Inside the town wall near the English Channel; great location! The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. He gave us several recommendations for meals. They were delicious!

Safe was excellent. The hotel was a little hard to find as Hotels.com has not updated the name change. No longer Hotel du Palais which was indicated on the reservation details. We came with three people, very small room but for one night, location was perfect and staff made up for any issues.

The hotel manager was the most friendly and helpful. He gave us recommendations for everything we did and they were great recommendations. The breakfast was wonderful. Full of pastries from local bakeries. Fresh, in season fruit and a huge variety of juices, coffee and tea. The room was very comfortable. He helped us with our bags… overall a wonderful experience. I will return! Thank you Christophe for being a great host!

Lovely boutique hotel with a lovely and welcoming staff, great location less than 5 mins from the beach and Saint Malo cathedral and shopping street. Cute, well decorated and extremely clean rooms. The tea lounge adds a nice touch and it is nice to enjoy a tea/coffee/french biscuits in the afternoon. The only comment is that the rooms are on the smaller/cozier side so if you have a lot of luggage it might be a bit difficult so choose one of the bigger rooms. Highly recommend and definitely will return for the 4th and next time...

This is a lovely, quaint hotel in a superb location for visiting the old city. As expected, the rooms are quite small but one can respect this given the limitations of the buildings in this charming walled city. It was clean, modern and comfortable, and reception was welcoming. This is a small, non-corporate hotel, and we appreciated its authenticity, as well as the amenities. I would recommend this hotel to any traveler who finds themselves in St. Malo. Be sure to walk the city wall which is a stone's throw away - the views are magnificent.

I visited with my wife and young daughter. The hotel was in wonderful condition, with lots of little details that made the stay particularly nice. The cleaning every day was particularly thorough (we noticed that all our traces of sand and pastry crumbs were gone every day).With our luggage, the triple room felt fairly small but it may have been because two beds (a double and a single) had to fit into a normal-size room. Most likely, double rooms are more spacious.The location of the hotel is close to all the excitement of the Intra-Muros Saint-Malo but is in a very quiet area, so we all enjoyed good rest there.If youre staying for a couple of days, you will need to park outside of the walled city (the hotel can sell 1- or 2-day parking passes at 5 euro per day). Parking outside is a bit inconvenient but not at all surprising.All personnel that we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. We recommend the hotel highly.
