Great spot along the River.

Beautiful view with river access. Great seating options as well.

Had a room with balcony overlooking the Russian River and it was a great view. Nice big room with a ramp and no stairs. Enjoyed the restaurant and the bar. Would definitely recommend.

Would not recommend this place if you want any sleep. Our room was right above the kitchen and you could hear every pot, pan, dishwasher, and angry cook. It went on til after midnight. There was no check in staff, the room was small, and the bathroom smelled of vomit. I’m very disappointed.

Beautiful property and everyone was very nice and helpful

The area is beautiful and the bar/restaurant staff were friendly and very helpful. If you're the type to go out for dinner and enjoy a few drinks, consider that uber is pretty much non existent, so you have only one or two choices, wasnt an issue for us.
The hotel itself needs some updating/maintenance, the jacuzzi/hottub didn't work which looks like a long standing issue, and generally it falls short of the expectations based on the photographs on the website and Expedia. The bathroom is tiny, no mirror over the sink, no vanity, the shower is... rustic and tough to find good water temps. The coffee machine was avoided as it hadn't been cleaned for some time. The room itself was spacious and clean but no room safe and a combination lock on the door. As others have mentioned, spiders everywhere but you're in the forest so should be expected. We didnt have the 'noise from people in the room above' issue, but i think that was down to them being very quiet.
Sadly I wont be hurrying back to Boho Manor, the value for money simply isnt there, which is a shame as we were really excited to stay there.

It's a beautiful riverside property with a private dock. Really lovely stay and the staff were so nice. The room was definitely smaller than you'd expect, but this is more of a boutique hotel. There's lot of chairs and loungers so you can can have a drink and relax with the beautiful view.

The property is adorable on the outside (can’t beat river front property), and they’ve done a good job photographing the property, but the service for the hotel is somewhat non existent (the restaurant and bar a seem to be the only thing staffed), and the grounds are run down and dirty.
Our room smelled moldy and had multiple spiders. And the speak easy was closed, the hot tub was broken and the espresso machine was broken.
I get that it’s an old river hotel, and part of the charm is old, but I still expect cleanliness and a heads up about multiple amenities being non existent. Small things like clean rooms, service and fixing broken things that are part of the properties allure would go a long way.

Overall, we had a great time. The location is beautiful. The dock and paddle boards were so nice to use. The building is old and charming. The bathroom left something to be desired, and there weren't enough towels. However, when we asked for more, we were provided w what we needed . The staff were so friendly that it turned the experience from good to excellent.

Boho Manor needs more staff. Management apparently left and seemed newly hired staff were struggling and spread too thin. We could not find the thermostat for the room and tried to find staff in bar or front desk (afternoon) and could not so called the facility number and got someone in Manilla!! She wanted way too much personal info which i didn't give.. Boho Manor owner: invest in an experienced manager and retain them.. It had a harried atmosphere and skeleton staff seemed stressed. Room was clean and housekeepers were very nice..

The place is very relaxing. The view of the river and the hills is beautiful. The hotel and the open spaces are very well maintained and a good mix between modern and quaint. All the hotel staff are very warm and helpful.
We would definitely want to go again.

Riverfront property with so much more potential. A great lawn area and dock access with views of the Russian River. The on-site restaurant and bar has limited open days/hours. The room was small but serviceable. It served our purpose to have a place to sleep and shower that was also dog-friendly.

There was leftover pizza from the previous guests in the fridge.
Very little interaction at the reception area, hot tub not working, and generally the covers on the seating areas were very dirty.
Stunning location, great views and wonderful mattress. This property could be great.

Quite and right in the river.

small room, door couldnt open all the way, it hit the wall in front of it, had to step into the shower to close the bathroom door, no plugins by the bed, toilet took forever to refill so you could flush again and didnt flush well. TV box fell off the wall and picture kept getting blurry. only one small mirror in the bathroom, none in the sitting area

Booked Room 20 for a Monday night stay. This is a Queen room with a balcony. The box spring was a Queen. The mattress was a full. The Mixspresso machine was so loud, my husband heard it in on the balcony outside. This is an old farmhouse, with modern wall heating units. This unit rattles something fierce. Twice in the night, we shimmied the unit so it would quiet down. The river view from the balcony is the best part of the room, nestled right up under several redwood trees.
Disappointingly, (at least in February) the bar is only open from 4pm to 7pm, Sunday thru Thursday, and dinner is only served on Friday & Saturday.

Place looked so amazing online!!!! I wanted to love it! But honestly it needs work (room was on dirty side, no soap, no lock for bathroom door, burnt out lightbulbs, no bathroom mirror). Also we were put in a smaller suite when others were open at the same price. For the price I feel it was a bit much considering the lack of amenities especially during the winter months.
(no jacuzzi, fire pit, lounge chairs, limited restaurant availability)
Amazing staff!!!

I loved staying here, I had a mother daughter weekend. I stayed in room 20. I loved the vibe of it. It has a speakeasy that is hidden behind book shelves, my room literally walked out back and was looking at the River. This is a older facility, but I thought they updated it pretty well. If ur looking for “new” not the place for you. It has a nostalgic vibe. I would go back again for sure.

We were told everything was closed for the season including hot tub. We were going to stay 2 days but we did not care for the room we were in. We were supposed to have a room with a view of the river but the windows had moss on them and hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Coffee maker didn’t work and shower was not up to par. Kathy in the bar was friendly and was the best part of our stay as we watched the 49ers.

It’s a fun little hotel with a nice bar and view over the Russian River. That’s cool plus it’s wedged in amongst massive redwood trees which is also super cool. The restaurant is decent and on a rainy night when you don’t want to drive makes for a perfect evening. The rooms are small…

Lori and the entire crew here go above and beyond - its in their DNA. They are friendly and if you get the chance to have a meal or drinks with them after work at their restarant and bar, you will delight in just how much fun they are! The property is nestled right up on the shore of the Russian river, and it is so peaceful and quiet here.

We booked a night stay here in mid-November. A welcome letter sent to us several days before our arrival indicated “plenty of amenities to enjoy,” “Live Music in the Speakeasy and other sports activities such as Bicycle and Kayak and Paddle board Rentals (seasonal),” “a classic bar and restaurant available” (with a comment to see the website for hours). The website indicated a bar open Mon-Sat from 4–7pm. When we arrived around 3 pm, the place was deserted despite a sign on the front door that stated office hours were from 3–7pm. We entered our room (which was beautiful) using the code sent to us. We tried to find someone to answer some questions, and finally one of the workers found us and said the manager would be there at 4:00. We walked down to enjoy the riverfront only to find that all the chairs/cushions were put away, so there was nowhere to sit! We saw that the kayaks were put away for the season. In fact, there was no one in the main building, it was all dark and there were no employees in the building. Later we saw a hotel worker, and she said there was a continental breakfast in the morning .The final straw was the next morning (8:30) when we tried to find where breakfast was being served. The front door to the main building was locked, and when we texted the number posted, we were told that she could unlock the door remotely and that someone would be there at 9 am to start making coffee. We couldn’t wait and no apology or refund was offered when we complained.

Folks were deceiving upon check in. Arrived at 1:30, was told we could check in. Then was told we would be charged for early check in after we put our things in the room. We promptly removed them and returned after 3 pm.
We reserved one of the best rooms if not the best. Room G with a private balcony. The room smelled like sweaty feet. Had to leave the window and balcony door open to air it out the entire two day stay. And the bed was very uncomfortable. Almost slept in the car.
Someone did try and upgrade the place with new lawn recliners and white cushions. However, they have no concept of maintenance on those cushions. You need to take them in at night or place a cover on them. They did neither. Cushions were covered with bird, droppings and mold. See pics below. Very disappointed for the money we spent I expected much better.

Wanted to love this place. Charming, surrounded by Redwoods and on the Russian River. Dined at the restaurant and that was great.
We won't ever stay at the inn again. Room was unlocked, key pad didn't work, trash bags and a vacuum leaning against our closed, unlocked room door. Called hotel number since no one was on site when we got to our room to explain the situation. They were pleasant, but didn't seem to think it was a big deal our room wasn't locked and there was trash and vacuum blocking our door.
No AC. Walls paper thin, so having windows open okay to cool off but you can hear everything going on in the rooms next to you between open windows and thin walls
Recommendation is to consider getting an evening drink or dinner here but stay somewhere else!

Property and room is outdated and is not a true reflection of the pics. Great setting. Good Service. Delicious food at the restaurant.

Beautiful property on the river, on a quiet street of a sleepy town. Lori made it easy checking into the property, and greatly helped with recommendations for dining in the area. Perfect place to unwind among the redwoods. We were there midweek, so we weren't fortunate enough to enjoy the restaurant/bar portion, as they only operate over the weekends.

Missing a towel or two in bath and no refresh during the day for towels. No cups. Had coffee maker and water but no cups or glasses

This is a wonderful older and well maintained inn. The history of the place relative to our musical movies is great. The improvements they are making look to be a great step. A couple things we'd change; make breakfast earlier since we're out and about well before 9:30; make the coffee maker easier to use and be sure to refresh the suppilies daily; and make the night lighting of the courtyard more subtle instead of bright enough to challenge the afternoon daylight that filters so wonderfully through the properties giant redwoods.

Great little hotel, the kind you’d want for a quick romantic getaway, really quite perfect for that. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant the second night and it was good, not fantastic, but very good for a tiny hotel restaurant. The only issue was the upstairs neighbors liked getting up, showering and having long talks starting at 4am. However, walls weren’t so thin that it prevented sleeping through it.
Thanks for a quaint memory and fantastic service!

The owners are very friendly. Staff was accommodating and friendly. I would stay there again. We didn’t have time to experience the restaurant but it over looks the river. Location is good as well, enjoy the Redwoods and short drive to the shore.

good price, easy parking, great staff, and gorgeous setting. Our room was a bit small, but fine all the same. We loved that it has the unique charm of the Carmel Lodge. It's not the same tired, cookie cutter hotel design. It was a perfect romantic getaway.
