This hotel was delightful! Perfect location near Plaza de Santa Ana, walking distance from all the important spots. Very comfortable room, and the BEST bed ever. Highly recommend!

This hotel was recommended by a friend. It’s located very close to the Prado. It is an older hotel with many updates. It’s very quaint and quite comfortable. We arrived very early and was able to store our luggage until later in the day. Staff is very friendly. Room was very spacious and bed was huge! Breakfast is very expensive but good. I’d stay here again. Very nice hotel.

Everything was great as always at Los Hoteles Caralonia. Just two observations: We had 2 suitcases and a carry-on and they assigned us a room in which we had to climb some stairs. One of the towels in the bathroom had a hole in it. Everything else was perfect.

Exceptional customer service. Our room was beautiful. Hotel facilities are clean. Every staff we have encountered has been very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The hotel itself is located in the center of everything. Everything is walking distance. Highly recommended!

The location was perfect for walking around Madrid to the Retiro and a tour to the Royal Palace and Old Town. The staff were SO kind and helpful. Even when I realized that I forgot my hat at the hotel when we were in the taxi — they were standing outside when we turned to hand it to me. Luggage storage also was great as we checked out in the morning to spend the day in Madrid before a late afternoon train to Segovia. We are so glad we picked this spot and can’t wait to come back!

Our stay was wonderful - the staff was courteous and helpful. The room was just right for a couple - with all of the amenities that we needed. It was also very clean and comfortable. Overall, the hotel is a beautiful place in a terrific location.

Checked in was very slow. There was a group of 5 people ahead of us and at 6pm it took the hotel almost 15-20 minutes to complete our check in process. There was only one person at the reception handling check in though there were other staffs walking around but showed absolutely no intend to help. A little while later there were a couple of them just sitting behind the counter chatting. Tried again asking for tv channel information during the EUFA cup and again the front desk basically just asked us to search the channels ourselves.

Had a superior room. It was very spacious and nice. Very clean. Wasn’t the most quiet of hotels but it is downtown Madrid after all.

After an overnight flight, we arrived very early to the hotel but since our room was ready, they let us go right in which saved our whole entire trip. We were able to sleep and enjoy the day and I can’t stress enough how wonderful this was. The staff were friendly and attentive. The shower was literally the best I’ve had in my 40 years of traveling.

The staff of this immaculate hotel was friendly and helpful. They were happy to help with questions on where to dine, making a reservation or answering general questions. The hotel has double windows, ensuring a quiet night for sleep. The hotel is attractively decorated and the bar area is delightful for a drink or snack. We loved the convenient location- all the sites we wanted to visit were in walking distance. Loved it!

The location was great, welcoming staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and very nice. Unfortunately, the air conditioning did not cool well the last night of our stay. We told them upon check-out and they just dismissed us.

Overall we had a great stay, the room was nice, the staff were friendly and the food was good. Slightly let down by the tv remote not working, a very dark shower despite there being a light in it. And a dodgy elevator which was glitching and not closing properly so we had to go down a level to take the lift down a few times but found a knack to make it work!

The staff at this hotel were the most helpful that I have ever encountered. Nothing was too much trouble, we thought it was the best experience. The hotel is so well located with lots of cafes and bars and culture on the doorstep. Everywhere is walkable. We will be back for sure!

Excellent location in walking distance for the big art galleries and super tapas bars locally. All of the staff were helpful particularly those who served breakfast. A nice touch is the light snacks and drinks available in the afternoon. We would certainly recommend La Catalonia for a visit to Madrid.

It was very conveniently located. The staff, especially Mariano was very helpful, especially when my husband had problems with his flight being cancelled. The hotel was spacious and close to all the sites we wanted to see, including the Prado and the Reina Sophia museum. We could easily walk to Sol and the Plaza Mayor. Lots of dining options all around.

Checked in with Javi and he not only reviewed the hotel amenities with us, He also gave us a map circling all the sites we should see and going over everything. Reception area, bar area and sitting area all very lovely. Beautiful original staircase up to our room on the third floor. Our room was spacious with high ceilings and a large comfortable bed. Plenty of lighting and French doors overlooking a side street. Plenty of plugs for charging all of our electrical devices, complementary tea and coffee for the morning and a nice big bathroom with tub/shower and great water pressure. Location was terrific midway between the Prado and the palace. Javi made reservations for dinner for us and had great suggestions for other eateries.
