Chinese group tourists are unacceptably noisy during nights and early mornings. I told front desk to do something for it and it worked only for 10 min. Facility is very old and dirty especially in the bathrooms. 団体中国人が大声で騒ぐので、うるさくてしょうがない。安ホテルなので、廊下の音が部屋で丸聞こえなため、夜は廊下で大騒ぎが続けられ、早朝にツアーに出発する騒ぎで寝ていられない。水回りは設備の古さもあり、とても汚い。

Staff at front desk have little authority to help guests. Their knee-jerk reaction is to ask for a fee. Or they have to call the manager. Something that the hotel has no control over is the loud clashing music from across the street at a restaurant hub. You NEED ear plugs. Pool is nice as is the lobby. Rooms are dated. There’s a kettle but no coffee or cups - symbolic of way hotel is run.

I killed more than 4 cockroaches in my room, and internet access is very inconvenient. We had to change ID and PW every location.

When I come to Chiang Mai for an over night, I usually stay at the Orichid hotel because it was a nice pool and is close to places I need to go to. It is getting a little run down but still ok.

The hotel service was pretty standard. No disposable razor n dental kit provided. Lighting was a bit too dim in the room.This hotel has lost its gems over the years though it is still quite stunning. Location was quite good with easy access to public transport (song thaew n tuk tuk). The mall next to it (Kad Suan Kaew) is equally tired. Breakfast was quite good though.What is quite unacceptable was the number of baby cockroaches that we killed in our bedroom. This really need urgent attention.

Saw a small cockroach by my dresser and my wife got all concerned about the electrical socket not having a plate. Our Chinese group at our floor would leave their bedroom doors open and make noise in the hallways but other than that, still good value for the price.

My room number is 419, other than the ceiling above the shower had yellowise colour and paint is out.there are many small cockroches running in the toilet and dressing table.The lamp beside the bed is on and off while you accidently touch the lamp.furthermore the wrabedrop is so dusty and the socket below dressing table is half dropped out.Bed is too soft.

This is an old hotel that has kept itself in good shape. Most important to me was the new gym facility which is excellent. The rooms are large and comfortable. Few small things such as small chips in plates in dining room and a faucet in the bathroom that had seen better days. Right next door to Khad Suan Khaw which affords loads of shopping opportunities.
