Rooms are big, but very basic and tired. Too tired for the price - I wouldn't have minded for a budget hotel, but this hotel doesnt sell itself as such. Beds far too soft, linen ripped, no airco, very noisy. Great location, near the beach and restaurants.

This is a nice hotel in the centre of De Koog, not too expensive. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom also spacious and there is good light above the mirror. The shower is good. There is a nice restaurant attached with excellent food. My only negative is that the bed was sagging in the middle, not so comfortable.

We stayed 3 nights and our room was not cleaned for the whole period despite having paid an additional fee to service the room as we had a small dog with us

I think that the hotel need a good make over. It is worn down, poorly keept.

You can't sleep in this hotel until 4AM due to loud crowd and music till 4am. Unbelievable, and you still have to check out before 11AM. Only go to this hotel to park your lugage and party all night, all others stay away from this hotel.

Very good location, nice rooms. Read the website prior which discussed that most of the rooms were noisy. This is definitely true, bring earplugs if you need them. Someone smoking in a room set off the fire alarm one night but that isn't their fault. Breakfast was reasonable. Wish they had at least one chair in the lobby, I had no where to sit and work in the middle of the night while my partner was asleep.

Great in all ways except sand on the hotel room floor upon arrival.

When leaving the ferry on the island be sure to get off on the right side. If you leave on the left you will have to wait for all the cars to debark before you can cross the road, by which time the bus will be gone until an hour later.Hotel is situated on a street with no cars, which is lined with many shops and restaurants. Our room had a sloped wall next to the dormer window. Getting into the bed sometimes caused pain to my sore back; I perhaps should have just crawled up from the foot of the bed. The TV was quite small but who needs TV in such a lovely location? There was a nice buffet brunch, and you could eat lunch or dinner in the restaurant or outdoors at the sidewalk café.You can rent a bike, where you will be given a map of the many bike paths all over the island. The beach is up a fairly steep road, as you are climbing over the dike which keeps the land from flooding. The sand, which goes as far as you can see in both directions, feels wonderful under bare feet. In the summer (we were there in both July and October), there are changing cabanas all along the beach. At the annual Wind Festival in October we saw many large kites in very creative shapes. If you want to go further afield, busses run frequently to the 35 metre tall Eierland Lighthouse, where you can climb 153 steps for a magnificent view.

Stayed a couple of nights in very spacious comfortable rooms and extended our stay in smaller basic rooms. Very friendly staff who kindly arranged for the return of a hired bike after our early morning departure. Central location beside shops and restaurants.

We had a great experience with this hotel. There is lots of reviews regarding the noise level but, we had no issue what so ever even though it was the height of the holiday season and the island was apparently booked out. I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were cute, clean and a decent size. Location is perfect if you want to be close to everything.

When i got there it took a long time to get someone to get to the desk to check us in. i saw the worker in a room and she could see us. We must have been waiting for like 10 minutes. Other than that it was just a basic hotel. clean comfortble. no special view. room was a bit warm. Great breakfast. scrambled eggs. cheeses. fruit. good coffe. breads. The hotel was a decent price and it was modern. good restaurant

after some days room service became superficial, sand on floor remained untouched for several days, room was not made up by 1700 in the afternoon, dust bin not emptied, no fresh bedcovers

Good and clean hotel, nothing to complain about. Just a regular hotel.

Good hotel, close to beach and dunes.
Great to have breakfast outside.

Great location at north end of main street (pedestrian). Most helpful front desk service in general--tho offer of quiet room at slight premium a bit of a dud due to outside noise from adolescents and (one morning) seagulls going for garbage out back.

It was lovely, we stayed for our honeymoon. We had a nice time.

We have rented bicycles and have made the island roud trip!

A very nice hotel with great rooms (although no tea/coffee facilities) but completely flawed by the fact that you couldn't sleep. We weren't aware of this until we arrived (in two groups) where one couple was offered a quieter room and the other couple a "noisy" room. We didn't quite understand this until later, and the complimentary ear plugs on the bedside table of the "quieter" room should have been a clue for what was to come! From around 10pm, either people outside the hotel chatting, or later the music from the opposite and next door club/bars kept us all awake. At around 1am I decided to use the ear plugs which helped a lot. The other couple just couldn't get to sleep until 5am, after which time the police had been called to deal with some trouble outside a club outside. The next day we asked at the reception for other sets of ear plugs and the receptionist pulled out a box full of them - clearly a sign of this problem.
If you want a hotel in the middle of the bar action, and therefore go to bed very late, it's perfect, but not if you go to bed at 11pm/12am. We stayed two nights, and the Sunday night was better but still far from idylic, which is what we had expected.

This is a good 3 star hotel. Only disadvantage is that they do not have a single two person blanket if you want to cozy up to your partner during your romantic weekend. Also, restaurants around town close at 9, so plan dinner early enough.
