My wife and I were in town for the weekend. The hotel was convenient for all the things we were planning to do. The room was spacious and we were blown away by how welcome the staff made us feel. Definitely on the top of my list of places to stay when in Philadelphia!

Room small, bathroom so small 2 people could NEVER fit. Tiny pedestal sink crammed between toilet and shower. No place to set anything. Very few plugs for charging- none on nightstand. Would not stay at this property again. This room was advertised as a suite?!!!

AKA Rittenhouse Square is clean, well-maintained, extremely hospitable staff, and in a prime location for parks, restaurants, and an easy walk to many historical and famous sites in Philadelphia. Highly recommended. We loved the free welcome drink from the hotel bar/restaurant. My only request would be for vegan options on the food menu. Otherwise a perfect stay! We will definitely be back next time we are in Philadelphia.

We stayed for two nights in a simple bedroom, but everything worked ok. I was expecting an upgrade and as I didn’t get it I got a little disappointed.

I had an amazing experience at AKA Rittenhouse this past weekend. The room was beautiful as well as the location. All around the staff was spectacular. I would 100% recommend people to stay here.

This building is in poor condition. Our bathroom door couldn’t close. The plumbing in our bathroom requred repair and still the toilet ran our entire stay. The toilet overflowed in one room and the shower pan didn’t drain in both rooms we booked. The cinema was broken the first night we reserved but fixed for the second. Everything looks pretty on the surface and the staff were great. However, based on the mechanical problems I would not stay here again.

Young and friendly staff to welcome you conveniently located right off of Rittenhouse Square. The room was light and comfortable with great bed linens but the bathroom was extremely small, had a children’s size toilet, the toilet paper was like tissue paper, thin.

The hotel is the epitome of poor management. I called ahead to make sure that (1) that they had in room internet (2) that I use my personal hotspot in the room. Their internet was so weak, that although I could log on, I could not get on any site. Their internet interfered with my hotspot, but I was able to configure my computer to get around that. But NO one, except on guest had any idea how to help me...no one at the front desk. With the exception of one many, most of the people at the front desk were both rude and uninterested. The toilet did not flush completely, and there lights that were burned out, etc. We would not go back there.

Pros: The staff was very friendly. There was a small connected restaurant were we had a nice breakfast, however the menu was quite limited. Large bedroom with comfortable bed and very large living room. Cons: - Parking garage is not close and it is somewhat scary to walk back to the hotel at 1 AM when the streets are deserted. During normal hours the area seems quite safe. - Blinds, but no curtains on the large bedroom window. The room never got dark at night due to lights directly outside the bedroom window. - No outlets near nightstands. - Bathroom had an extremely noisy fan that automatically turned on with the light. I moved a lamp into the bathroom to avoid the sound. - One-person small sleep sofa was in a small room in back next to the kitchen. There were about 20 HVAC compressors in the alley outside the small room. You could hear the noise from the compressors. - It is mind boggling why they don't put blackout curtains on the windows and a queen size sleep sofa in the gigantic living room (where you would not hear the HVAC compressors). - At 6:30 AM the person who was sleeping on the small sleep sofa was awakened by extremely loud trashmen. I did not hear them in the main bedroom. - Hopefully an anomaly, but there was a large glob of hardened material like cardboard molded into the bedsheet. I can't believe the person who made the bed didn't see it. Another Pro: Kitchen seemed well equipped; however I didn't use it.

Great Philly location. Very walkable, with excellent shops, craft bars, and many top rated restaurants close by. The AKA provides hotel rooms with very small bathrooms, and larger extended stay suites. The rooms are gray and modern. Nice fridge, sink, and Nespresso coffee maker. Nice gym and cinema room for use. Front desk service was excellent and the connected bar and restaurant were also very good. The only negative is that the windows need to be washed and the bathroom corners need a god scrubbing. Sparse but comfortable for our weekend stay.

AKA Rittenhouse Square has a great location, right at one of the corners of the Square, close to all of the amenities of the area, particularly restaurants. However, although the hotel is fairly expensive, it offers few of the amenities you would expect for the price. There is no lobby and the chairs in the room were uncomfortable so there's really no place to sit. There were no extra blankets and only one set of towels. The heat in the room did not work and it got fairly cold over night. I would not stay there again.

Pros: -Convenient location -Kitchenette in-room with utensils, kitchenware, and appliances like small fridge, toaster, teapot, plate/bowls, glasses/mugs, and microwave -Nice, helpful staff -Quiet, despite being in a busy area Cons: -No parking (no garage nor validation), so parking at a nearby garage adds an extra $50 per day -No breakfast offered, which is another added expense -Shower has low water pressure and lukewarm temperature at best -Room is tiny -Too expensive

Comfortable, clean, relatively quiet, lots of space, good kitchen but needs a cutting board. Neighborhood suffers from typical urban ills but very convenient for us visiting relatives in Philadelphia. Staff super welcoming and accommadating. Well run place, would stay there again.
