This quaint, recently updated hotel offers spacious-sized rooms with generous bathroom/shower area as well as a peninsula counter under which is a microwave and mini-fridge. There are unique snacks and water in the room for sale at very reasonable cost. The bed, bedding and pillows are very good quality. There are actual windows that open for the fresh Ojai air, or remote-controlled, new and silent mini-split air conditioning.The entirety of the property is warm, inviting, and very clean. The pool area provides nice lounging options surrounded by giant shading trees. There are several seating areas around the property to relax, read, or drink the free coffee and tea offered in the morning. Located just past the town on the main drag, its an easy 5-10 minute walk to all the restaurants, bars and shops. The Hummingbird also provides nice, new bikes for patron use. I wish I could've stayed longer, but I'll definitely return!

Was clean but could have been a bit better. The floors and the bathtub did not seem to have been cleaned. I’ll stay here again. Just know that I’ll have to where shoes and rinse the tub well.

This was my second time here but have stayed many times at properties under the same ownership. They all run similarly. Love the simplicity yet warmth of this property. The staff is helpful and so friendly, pool is great. Floats, good music, byo snacks. Already planning my next trip.

What a pleasant surprise! This place was beautifully updated and quite chic! The first thing we noticed was the lobby, and my girlfriend said she, "could move into a home furnished like that!" Then we noticed the free bikes to use to ride the half mile into town - so great! Our room was equally upgraded and we loved everything about it... from the free local waters to the area rug, dimmer switches on all lights, and a premium mattress. We are TOTALLY headed back to this place!

Everything was very nice, but I thought it was a bit stingy that they charged (rather dearly) for the in-room packet of coffee or tea or water. They did have free coffee in the lobby, but most places do not charge for that skimpy little bit of coffee in the room.

Hummingbird Inn is a nice choice for staying in Ojai. It is a good location for getting around the town. The staff go out of their way to help you. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. There is a large closet for hanging clothes in the room. My only negative comment is the lack of shelves or a dresser to place other clothes since there was only one luggage rack.

We truly enjoyed our stay during the July 4th holiday week. We wanted to escape the city and the fireworks, and this place was perfect for achieving that goal! The staff were fantastic, the pool was wonderful, the bikes were easy to ride, and the location was excellent. The renovated interior felt cozy overall, but we especially loved our room for its comfortable and homey feel. A tip for those planning to visit Ojai for the 4th: plan ahead for dinner by making a reservation at The Dutchess for a sit-down meal or Little Sama Ojai, which is attached to Topa Topa Brewing, for a more laid-back dining experience.

Hummingbird was so cute and comfortable. The location was perfect— easy to borrow a couple of bikes and ride around town. The room was mid century modern with minimal furnishings— I loved the decor and the bed was very comfortable. The lobby featured complementary coffee which was honestly the best coffee we had in ojai (better than Ojai Roasting Company and the Dutchess). The service was friendly and helpful. We’ll be back!

Nice place to stay, within walking distance of restaurants, shops and park. Nice hotel lobby with comfy furniture and fire place to enjoy complementary coffee/tea in the morning. The room was clean and nicely decorated in a minimalistic style which I appreciate very much. The pool area is very nice and there is a gas fire pit there as well. The morning I was checking out new stylish lounge chairs were being set up by the pool. I am really looking forward for my next stay at the Hummingbird Inn to relax by the pool on those new lounge chairs, perhaps I will even bring my little dog as this is a pet friendly hotel.
