My hotel room was booked on Hotels.com. When I checked in I paid for the room, as well as a $50 deposit with a debit card ($370.92). After waiting about 10 minutes I was informed that the payment did not through "on their end". However, the payment was debited from my checking account, and I gladly shared evidence of this transaction with hotel staff. I was informed that it was OK and I went to my room to nap. Shortly thereafter the staff knocked on my door and informed that I had in fact not paid for the room, and in order to stay there I would have to come back to the front desk and pay again. This time I paid with a credit card, though I again showed the staff that my original payment was still debited from my checking account. I was told that my credit card payment "went through" and my checking account would be refunded from my initial payment when I checked out. However, my checking account was NOT refunded at that time, and now 48 hours later it has yet to be refunded. I have stayed at Hiltons often and have never had a complaint, though Hilton Garden Inn Granbury is clearly not managed as well their other properties. I am working with my bank in an attempt to get my account refunded, and will never patronize this hotel again.

Wonderful stay! We had seen this hotel in the past and wanted to stay here and it did not disappoint!

Our stay was good, however a couple of things were very disappointing when I factor in how much that room cost. The amenities in our room - specifically the coffee needs were short: we had one coffee cup, and then not enough coffee and creamer for 2 cups each. A visit to the front desk fixed that. We could have used one more towel - we had 3, but took couple of showers each. Again, for the cost, I expected those small things to be taken care of. The facility did have a great location and the view of the lake was spectacular this morning at sunrise. And I believe the facility is aware of the elevators, one worked poorly and neither had air conditioning working. Any questions, pls let me know.

We were upgraded to water view however maintenance stacked ladders just outside our window. Shower door would not close so we used washcloth to jam door shut while taking a shower. Maintenance was notified & they corrected this the first night. Bathroom door squeaked very badly when opened or shut, maintenance man ignored. No towel bar or ring to hang hand towels on. Refrigerator was by window because did not fit in cabinet after construction.

When we checked in tried to get an upgrade, and the clerk didn't know how with Expedia reservation-said it would "ruin her day" if she made a mistake, so we stuck with original registration. Later, after unpacking we discovered the tv had a broken screen and asked for another. Since there was no night maintenance, we were given the choice of change rooms or check-out. Neither was a good choice, so we stayed where we were- with no offer of compensation of any sort. Otherwise it was nice, but not worth the price considering incomplete amenities- a place that large needs 24hr maintenance.

Check in computer was down thus significant delay in checking in; hallways smelled like fresh paint & room door stuck when opening or closing. Received nice upgrade to lake view room however had 2 smaller beds instead of one king.

Your room is only cleaned every other day which I find unacceptable on vacation. Hotel towels never dry especially in high humidity. You have to ask for fresh towels. They did not touch the coffee maker the day our room was cleaned. The old pod was left in and the unit was dusty. We rented a suite. Very uncomfortable sofa to sit on, but nice to have two rooms. The bathroom had been renovated and was very nice including the lighting. The rest of the unit had terrible lighting which made it very dark. It does sit in a beautiful location and how much are you really in your room? When they remade our bed the one day that they "cleaned" they never bothered to put the quilt back into the duvet. Housekeeping left little to be desired.

Our stay was disappointing to say the least, we had rented a room with a king bed and a couch, because there was 3 of us staying in that room, when we arrived we were told the room we had rented wasn’t available anymore, so they brought us a roll away bed and stuffed it in the corner, there was no room for us to walk at all, the room was absolute chaos, the bathroom was nasty, and to top it off, the next morning we had the buffet for breakfast, which was nothing to brag about, and it cost us $50 for 3 people, way overpriced!

When I arrived to check in, the hotel had no idea I had a reservation. I produced the email confirmation and, fortunately, they had a lake view room available. They told me the room would be ready in a hour. When I returned, I waited in line of two, including myself, for half an hour to check into my room. No big deal, but it was not run very smoothly. I recommend that you book directly with the hotel and skip the third party booking. They do not communicate well. Convenient location and clean rooms.

Property would have gotten a 5 star review (lovely setting on Lake Granbury, comfortable room, walking distance to charming historic center) but for two things: nice green space around hotel for walking dog with pet waste bins overflowing and pet waste bag dispenser empty (I bring my own bags but many don't) and (on the same theme) trash cans on either side of the front door were overflowing. Hilton management should know better!

We were very disappointed the hot tub was out of order One of the reasons we booked this hotel indoor hot tub to relax as a couple No breakfast- they charge you $15.50 for a standard breakfast that usually comes free with most hotels The shower had black mildew / mold which was not a common thing for a Hilton property Shower head leaking not much pressure The bathroom was pretty much clean to Hilton standards The lake views were amazing The fire pit was nice outside Garden room had beautiful views of lake Granbury The location was awesome Close to market square

My room had candies leftover from a previous guest, and the bathroom floor had lint residues. The pool was not heated, the water was cloudy and there was hairs floating in the water in which we were getting tangled while swimming. Pretty gross. There is no cleaning staff during the evenings /nights. I requested for my room to be thoroughly cleaned at least the next morning, and all that the cleaning crew did was to find the towels, empty the trash and open the curtains. The candy was still in the same place on the floor, the mini bar counter was now sticky and the bathroom floor was still dirty. Since I booked through Orbitz, I knew they would not help me as ai had a similar experience at another Hilton in a different town. Ahh, and when I was checking out, my baby had a cut in his hand and he was bleeding so I asked for a band aid and they said they could sell me one from their first aid kit or I could go buy one (so did not care at all about their baby guest needs). Almost forgot, half of the amenities were out of service the first night I was there.

Very gorgeous hotel with lake view…. Hated being next to supply room, on first floor, kinda loud, told what time continental breakfast was, but instead , it’s like a restaurant style and wad going to charge 33.50, but they didn’t charge me …said , just leave a tip. Because they fixed my plate??

The hotel is in a great location, and our room (large, with a sitting area) had a wonderful view of the lake. It was quite comfortable, except for lumpy pillows. The staff was courteous, but made a mistake in our room number, which caused way more trouble than it should have. The property says it is pet-friendly and has doggy poop bags strategically located around the grounds, however, there was an undisclosed $75 fee, and our tiny dog (15 lbs) was kicked out of the breakfast room.
