I love this place

Great place to stay. It was located at the perfectvplace for us to attend the event we booked.

We stayed here to see a concert. The staff there was welcoming and gave us advice about how to get to a concert from there. We are coming back again soon!

Conveniently located.

We enjoyed our stay. It was clean and comfortable. Please add towel rods to the bathrooms so hang wet towels to dry. I had to use the door knobs instead.

The property was as described. Pleasantly surprised. I requested 1st floor (don’t like elevators) They were able to fulfill my request. I would stay here again!

Room was clean and very spacious.

Second time we stayed here and will probably be back.

In reading to attend a wedding. Room was nice. I would stay here again.

I have stayed at this property many times and it's the friendly staff and quiet that keeps me going back. It's very clean and convenient for my stay. Very easy check-in and checkout process

Had requested adjoining rooms - told at check-in they don’t have any. They had our room and my elderly mother’s room on separate floors. We were told there was nothing they could do as they were fully booked. The next two guests that came to check in after us were booked on the same floor as my mom. This worked out as they were family members, but the girl checking us all in had no way of knowing this. Not sure why she couldn’t have put us in one of their rooms and moved them up a floor - there had been no special requests from them and at least one of their rooms was the same type as ours. Also - no shower curtain in the bathroom - called the desk and was told to come down and get one - then had to put it up ourselves.

I had high hopes for this hotel, pictures looked nice.. All in all the room was halfway cleaned (body hair all around the bathroom…) and the biggest issue was there was NO AC IN BEDROOM all they put in was what the front desk called a “pass through fan” that supplied slightly more air than a human fart. It was 80 degrees in the bedroom and slept awful for the two nights we stayed there. IHG, figure this out!

Easy to get around

Had end room by exit door and door would slam when people leaving throughout the night trying to sleep,otherwise great place to stay.

For an IHG Hotel, Candlewood Suites in Reading did NOT meet my expectations. We were given a handicap Suite without being offered a non-handicap. VERY FEW amenities: no room coffee, no pen w/tablet bedside, no breakfast (or snacks), no pool, no hot tub, two bath towels (shower stall severely stained), and the fitness room (connected to the laundry facility) which was minimalisticly equipped, had an awful stagnant water/mildew odor.

Was a great stay for 2 nights while going to a concert. Only thing I wish was for some dining options other than their little cupboard/pantry supply

Nice appearance on check in until you learn this facility was built as cheaply as possible. The room was a suite with separate bedroom which is nice until you learn the heat and A/C are in the main room not the bedroom. These people are so cheap they made a hole in the wall between living and bed rooms and installed an exhaust fan to push air into the bedroom. That’s not the worst. Like many hotels the thermostat has a sensor to shut the system off when no one is in the room. The hvac system is in the living room not the bedroom. Guess what happens when you are only in the bedroom? That’s right the hvac system shuts off. To have heat or air during the night you have to wake up, leave the bedroom so the sensor sees there is a person so the system restarts. If you want to do this madness every hour of the night this is the place you want to be. Talked to the desk asked if they could disable the sensor so the system runs. Nope!

Check in was quick and friendly. Room was very comfortable - especially the bed. Convenient location for the concert we were attending.

Overall an excellent stay! Check in was easy and front desk was friendly and helpful. Our room had a perfect view of Pagoda. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.

Didn't like barking dogs in next room and .ants in the linen.

Liked this was a home away from home. It had everything you could expect. A full size frig, microwave, dishwasher, sink, small two burner stove, and dishes. Saved a lot of money from not having to eat out.

Great hotel .

Great spot. Rooms are spacious and have everythibg you need from a full size fridge to a stove sink table dishes in the room and a 24hr snack store in the lobby. Close to many stores and 5 min drive to santander arena.

I swear this hotel had the most comfortable beds. Quiet but near to everything. Will stay again and again!!
