My whole purpose to come was for a getaway and to enjoy the pool which was broken so I couldn’t get in,night staff was rude and loud on their personal phones talking about quitting,housekeeping never came to make my bed after telling me she was,it was all bad.

Bugs everywhere. Hallways smell like urine. Key cards stop working after one day. Elevator floors have probably never been vacuumed. Elevators slow and don’t function well. I would never stay here again.

Large helpful & kind staff member clearly has a bathing issue, but fortunately the smell was only near her. Property could use transitions on the floor due to ragged carpet (or replace carpet). Pool was out, treadmill was out, main light in our bathroom was out--apparently bulbs are on order(?)--meant that we delayed bath for my small child)--and had to ask for a plug to use the bath instead of shower (not built in), plus toilet handle stuck & ran. Walls were thin & I could hear traffic through the windows. Maintenance & better management would serve Holiday Inn Express better here. If I were higher management, I'd give them a talking to, or simply fire them. If this is not a good part of town, guests have little idea. The good beds and breakfast saved the day here, but wow. Glad it was only 1 night.

We were visiting friends in a nearby city, celebrating a birthday. The hotel was closeby, moderately expensive, and easy to drive to. The hotel associates were helpful, courteous, and made our stay comfortable.

It was very disappointed first we was greeted by someone who look like she is not happy with her job. Our check in time is 3pm she told us they don’t do check in until 4pm, me and my family was traveling all day mind you. I show her all my booking information so she honored the agreement. Up on arriving to our room we noticed that the room was not even clean, we went back down to talk to her and she want to have an attitude because she gave us a duty room. Hats out to the maintenance supervisor she was more help to us the the front desk girl. She even ask her why would she even give us a room that’s not clear in the system when there is one available? When my wife heard this she got upset because she deliberately have us waiting with our 3 kids and still say we got to wait until it was clean. I don’t understand why people like this even work at a place where you got to deal with customers? We was in room 315, I even slip in the bathroom because the shower curtain doesn’t stop the water from flowing out I didn’t realize it until it was too late. I try calling the manager but he never seem to be at his desk. All the furniture where terrible and falling apart.

Bugs, and overall cleanliness

Property is in need of improvements- paint, new mattresses, etc… Staff is fantastic and friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. There seemed to be a box elder bug issue.

It was nice Quiet everything worked. The only problem was the TV was a bit difficult to operate and outside grounds was trashy nice good curb appeal

Property needs make over, lobby & room smelled and look worn, broken furniture, stained carpet etc. Location is why we stayed convenient off express way and located across from mall and restaurants

Hotel was fine but it’s old and the room was dirty in that there were still smudges on the walls and the carpet and furniture is old. The hotel smelled bad when you walk in and the halls smelled

I could tell that the room was not cleaned properly

The room was dirty, apparently the person in the next room was smoking marijuana, the smell was unbearable, too much noise. But not all was bad, the breakfast was pretty good

We experienced a really good stay. The hotel rooms could use some updating. The hallways definitely could use some paint and vacuuming. However, the room was clean and comfortable. The fan on the heater was quite noisy, so we just turned it off. The breakfast was AMAZING and so was the staff. There are stores and restaurants within walking distance. It was a good choice for us!

The phone in the room was not hooked up so you had to go all the way down to the front desk to ask for anything. There was no clock in the room. The toilet constantly ran. We asked when we checked in to have towels left at our door each day and we only got them once.

Checked in and room had roaches in first ( minutes counted 5 went to desk and they did give me a roach free room upstairs.

Air conditioner in room was not working. The smoke alarm/cardon monoxide alarm was broken

Obviously in need of refresh and looks like it may be starting. However, still thought they could have kept clean Nd removed removes diablwd. Ats from pakrinjbg lot.

The room was so dirty and the furniture was all stained. This place should be more clean.

My 1st room smelled like smoke. I had to request to be changed and the air unit made noise all night. The carpet looked dirty and there was a pubic hair on my suppose to be clean towel.

The hotel just needs updating. After seeing a few negative reviews I was not going to stay at this hotel but it was the closest for a concert we were seeing. It wasn’t as bad as some recent reviews but it just needs some updating.

The room smelled awful! Carpet needs to be cleaned. Walls were filthy with stains. Microwave was layered with fingerprints like it had not been cleaned. The toilet seat was wore out. The straw that broke the camel’s back was the roach in the bathroom. Left immediately.

A place to sleep—that’s it. No housekeeping unless requested. Modest breakfast. Shopping mall location with nothing attractive about it. The room was fine. Functional place to stay but not a destination by any means.

Asked if I used the hotel to airport shuttle service in this review. Didn’t even know they offered that. Pool had dirty towels laying out, no towels in the clean rack, didn’t appear cleaned or maintained. Was looking forward to using it but saw the life saving bouy rings, taken off the wall by someone else, had been floating in the pool for the whole three days/2 nights we were there, on top of the dirty towels everywhere, so didn’t even bother. Gym had weights sitting out on the floor everywhere from a previous customer who enjoyed the gym and no way to clean equipments. Only one towel in the clean rack in the gym. Waited a while for front desk service at times, sometimes due to them standing outside smoking or talking with their coworkers, but once I got service it was ok. Breakfast had good variety but would like more hot foods offered.
