Generally our stay at the hotel was good. The location is excellent, very close to the center, making it easy to get around. The room was spacious enough and clean, but there were issues with ants and some outdated furniture that should be addressed. The breakfast was decent (though it could benefit from more variety, especially in terms of cheese and olive options). Overall, we were satisfied, but there's room for improvement.

we couldn't even stay for 1 night, the whole place of the hotel smells old and damp. The room doesn't even have a proper window, it was like we were in the basement. We entered the room, sat down, found a new facility and left. I would definitely say do not sell. Mastery is very expensive compared to the better ones. We have never stayed, we want a refund. I don't understand how you can offer such a hotel.

The hotel is situated in the city center, near close to the beach and shops. Old Town is a 15-minute close away.

Weaknesses:
- we booked two rooms at the same price, but the differences were big, so i asked to change my room (even if the hotel was fully booked, they offered us another room, not as big and equipped as our friends', but better than the first one)
- water was flowing next to the shower cabin
- the shower cabin was small
- towels were changed only once every two days
- the initial cleaning was superficial
- I received small bottles of shampoo and shower gel only in the first day
- I did not receive water in the room at all

Just an overnight stay, it was comfortable and clean although the room could do with updating. The buffet breakfast was very good. The biggest problem was the parking, took ages to find a parking space in the street.

Better online directions would definitely avoid travellers anxiety and partner conflict!!! The hotel shows better online but overall it was OK, the room is dated but very large. The view more than makes up for the dated furnishings as it is truly stunning. The breakfast is good if you have no food intolerances, traveling GF is definitely a challenge for breakfast, the pastries looked delicious. The stiff for the most part helpful only one grumpy host when we arrived. Daytime staff more than helpful and willing to assist, even a friendly hello when seen offsite in the village.

Overnight Stay on our way to Symi we have used the hotel Lydia several times for this purpose to and from Symi and it is perfect for us it is central to Rhodes close to shops bars and restaurants and is clean and good value. Staff are always very helpful and polite.

Summary: Great location, good price, very pleasant staff. We want to especially point out Maria from the kitchen and Maria from the bar area who were very nice and helpful with our kids (who are a bit noisy and messy).
Food was relatively good but very limited selection (good but basic), hotel was very nice but does not have many services.
Minibar (water, canned drinks) was well priced - more than local stores but still very reasonable.

When the food came it was only lukewarm and wasn’t great!! We had paid for a dinner but got just a poor one course that we paid far to much for!! The staff were understanding and didn’t charge for the two drinks we had, but still the stay was let down by the meal!!

An overnight stay in Rhodes Town to enjoy a nice meal & drinks in the busy town. Lydia hotel is the perfect location for shopping, harbour area,local bars, restaurants & bank. Parking quite close by. An excellent breakfast too makes it an ideal hotel!

Hotel location is in a perfect area for tourists wanting to see the old town and trips out on the boats. It is noisy because of the town but thats part of the reason I stayed to see the lively part of Rhodes and the way the Greeks live :) Big comfortable bed, I had the double but room is only good for sleeping or relaxing on the balcony, bathroom had a good shower and basin... I would stay again, staff where nice and very helpful :)

Good experience, room is a little tight but clean, quiet, friendly and helpful staff. We always stay at this hotel whenever we visit our family in Rhodes Island and see great improvement after renovation in the past few years.

We found the Lydia to be above our expectations, given the price we paid. The breakfast was way over the top, with everything perfect.... warm milk for the coffee, freshly fried eggs, many many items. The room was small but perfect; clean, well appointed, good mattress. The room we had, at the back of the hotel faced another hotel on a pedestrian street with few pedestrians. Thus, it was very quiet, aided by the very nice double paned sliding doors. The whole place looked like it had had a recent upgrade.
On the downside, the internett didn't reach to our room, the BBC didn't appear on our TV, and the manager tried to charge us 5 euro more than we paid on expedia when we chose to stay another day. I finally had to threaten to go to my room and book another day on expedia before the desk gal relented to the come down to a matching rate.
That said, we would book again. The room, the breakfast, the location..... all perfect.
