Great little hotel in the old town section walkable to everything. Best to park in the main parking lot outside of the old town section and use the escalators to get up the the old town. It's about a 20 minute walk to the hotel so we left our suitcases in the the car and packed our backpack with everything we needed for the stay. Room was small but not cramped...keep in mind the building is hundreds of years old! Window had shutters blocking view of the small street but if you gently raise the top shutter it will open out past the railing for a great view looking down the street. Very nice staff!

The location is great, short walks to main piazza, shops, restaurants. Old hotel but clean. Obviously no capital in years. Staff is not trained in hospitality, aloof. They shut off our AC 1 hour before checkout on a hot day. They said it was so they cclean the rooms? Argued with us. Illogical but shows what their priorities are. Can't operate with 4 hour room turn time? Can't afford electricity? Left stickers on the front door claiming to have had Michelin ratings more than 10 years ago. Skimpy breakfast. Ran out of hard boiled eggs and would not replenish. Not we're not spoiled Americans. This property just doesn't get it.

Perfectly located steps away from a main plaza

The property was very close to the center of town and about 6 minutes from the Duomo. The breakfast was provided. Very helpful staff

Comfortable Hotel in the centre of the village close to the main Square.

Parking parking parking… what they don’t say on the websites is that parking is WAY far away and for older people who might have mobility issues this is a serious problem. My wife and I have problems with stairs and the parking garage was literally down half a mountain. No other parking in the area. The woman at the desk seemed unbothered by our difficulties.
However, the breakfast was charming and the beds and shower were great. The “AC” was not really air conditioning but we dealt with it. Orvieto is beautiful but the parking situation sucks. Anyone with mobility issues — stay in another town.

Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Advertised on-site parking wasn’t. It was down the hill, out the City gates .3km away.
AC didn’t work. It was hotter in the room than outside where it already was 90 Degrees f.

Excellent staff. Noisy street on a Saturday night.

This is a pleasant, moderately-priced hotel near Piazza Sant'Andrea, and in the small old city of Orvieto near pretty much everything. It is not luxurious; my room was small and the mattress could have been better. But the room was pleasant, and the hotel is very well-maintained and attractive. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was quite good.

Great location. Rooms basic but very nice. CNN on TV, Breakfast was great. Traffic on cobblestone street was very noisy if you had a front room, which we did. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Not fancy and modern but really a sweet place. Can’t beat the location.

I enjoyed my room here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very pretty. It was within walking distance to the Duomo and other interesting sites. It was raining and the staff offered me an umbrella. All in all, it was a very nice place to stay and I would highly recommend it. The price was good, too!

This was a very nice small hotel right in the heart of Orvieto. The only problem I had was that my room was on the front street side which was very noisy. If the window was opened to get cool air into the room at night, there was too much noise to go to sleep before midnight. Also, the shutters could not be opened, so it was a little dark in the room. No lift, so be ready for plenty of stairs.

No reflection on the hotel, BUT...streets so narrow a small car almostdoes not fit. Free parking down a 45* inclined street! Great restaurants, pretty vistas.

About Orvieto, NO overnight parking anywhere near hotels. Drop off luggage, drive to garage, cab back. Not my hotels fault!! Great ceramics, good food. Find and visit British WWII cemetery!! Countryside lovely.

Hotel wonderful, very attentive and caring staff available, cozy, clean and spacious room; bathroom also clean and spacious. The location could not be better, right in the center of Orvieto, you arrive everywhere with no problem. Antonio attendant is a sympathy, always smiling and friendly owners also. The wifi works great, breakfast is very good and the hotel is very beautiful. Anyway highly recommended.

Some of the staff had limited English skills. Overall good visit, would stay there again.

The room was quiet and just at the top of the stairs overlooking the main street. Breakfast was great with a good selection of items. Front desk staff was charming.

We had to drive into the historic city (which only locals are supposed to do) to check into our hotel and get parking instructions. The hotel is pretty and the room was okay. We had spotty wi-fi eventhough it said in common areas only. The hotel is older and could use some updating - old bed, old wall paper...The breakfast was good and it was convenient for walking up the hill town to see the church and shops.

Very comfortable room. TV wasn't working but it wasn't a problem. There's AC in the room and a little fridge to keep your drinks cool. I would recommend this hotel.

A beautiful hotel in gorgeous Irvieto. This was my first stop in Italy and set the tone for the remainder of my trip. The staff were very helpful & welcoming. I plan to stay here on my next visit.

Our family of four spent two nights in the beautiful town of Orvietto. This hotel is nicely furnished and the room was spacious enough for all of us. Though our room faced the main street, the windows did their job at providing decent noise suppression from the street noise below. Our bathroom had a few problems with the shower door and the bidet was non-functional. Breakfast was adequate both mornings and the orange juice was fresh squeezed.Staff was helpful when asked but did not go out of their way to offer recommendations for dining or sites to see, but I blame my poor Italian (at best) and their limited English . The hotel is within the ZTL, so do not drive to the hotel unless prior arrangements are made with the front desk. Parking is in a covered public garage south of town and you take multiple escalators to the town level. The walk is about 200 meters from there to the hotel.

This is a really lovely hotel-we had a wonderful room that looked over the street. The beds are very comfortable and the staff is really warm. They have a great breakfast-not to be missed. The rooms are a great size and there is also free wifi:) I would definitely stay here again!

Our hotel room was perfect for a family of 4, as the room was quite large and the bathroom was not too small. Our 2 daughters were happy they did not have to share a bed, but were given 2 separate beds that were very comfortable (even though one was a cot-style). We stayed 4 nights and the hotel is easily accessible--we were able to return a few times during the day with ease as we toured the city. We found the staff very helpful and willing to make any reservations for local transportation or restaurants we wanted whether during normal business hours or very late at night. The breakfast included eggs you could boil yourself, juice, breads, jams, ham/cheese, and coffees/teas. When we return to Orvieto, this will be our hotel of choice.

The Hotel Filippeschi is conveniently located just off the main central square of Orvieto, near the bus stop from the cog railway station (connecting with the regular train station below Orvieto), the City Hall, bars, restaurants, and shops galore. The hotel staff are kind, cordial, polite, and helpful. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, complete with air conditioning and a spotless bathroom.

One of the best service I got in Italy. Very hospitable staff, went out of there way to help ,e with parking and bringing in my bags. Definitely will return for another stay.

A 5 minute stroll to the centre of town Filippeschi was a pleasant place to stay in Orvieto. Our room was very nicely laid out, roomy and comfortable. The style was actually more than we had expected. My only points taken off would be for the breakfast- but it was he standard uninspiring hotel breakfast we found throughout Italy- passable but not particularly memoriable.Overall I would recommend a stay at Filippeschi if visiting Orvieto.
