The hotel is lovely and a perfect location. Quiet but very near the beautiful Cours Mirabeau- restaurants, shopping, cafes, markets. Escaletto is eco conscious and caring of its guests. A lovely rooftop terrace and blankets provided if needed. The breakfasts are plentiful and delicious and worth the price. Aix is a charming city worth visiting again and again and I would definitely come back to this hotel. Our room was cozy and had everything we needed, very clean and safe and Fabien and the rest of the staff are patient and helpful. The hotel is filled with wonderful art, much of it for sale. This was a great find

This hotel was very convenient for visiting Aix-en-Provence. Rooms are simple with typical European setup, but AC works well and external blinds on windows keep room dark even in the summer when the days are long.

This was a very nice boutique hotel in a great location. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. The complimentary detox water upon arrival was a nice addition. Rooms were spacious, nicely decorated. The wardrobe door made a screeching sound when opened and beds seemed short. Overall would recommend!

Great: Nice hotel, well decorated, bathrooms fine, friendly helpful staff, good breakfast, good location for walking around old town Minor: we had room 101 near elevator and heard the elevator bells and also every time someone flushed upstairs we heard rushing water but was quiet by 11; room302 was fine though- daughter had that room No kettle in the room

Checked in late. Hotel checkin clerk was super sweet and accommodating. She offered to have breakfast set up early since we had an early departure and the staff was wonderful.

Great location, within walking distance to the old town center. Room was very clean, recently renovated, and bathroom was spacious. The rooftop is a great place to relax and watch the sunset. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The breakfast was very good and included in the room rate. Elevator is great when carrying heavy luggage.

Great location, wonderful staff, completely new furnishings both in the rooms and the public area. Loved the generous breakfast buffet. Fabulous location on the edge of the old city on a tree-lined street. Shops, restaurants, even laundromats practically at the doorstep. For an extended stay, the only drawback was lack of a refridgerator in the room.

This is a lovely hotel in a good location with nice staff, however the water pressure on the third floor was non-existent regardless of the time of day and there was no hot water. The shower was literally a trickle of cold water.

Enjoyable stay, from the friendly reception team, to the clean and modern room, the delicious breakfast, the relaxing bar area, scenic rooftop terrace, and the excellent location - very close to city center, but away from the noise. It would be good if there were better security in the WiFi. As I recall it was an unsecured network. It worked fine otherwise, but our IT people do not like us to connect to unsecured systems.

The Hotel du Globe is conveniently located and relatively inexpensive but this comes at the price of a few sacrifices - no safe in the room and a relatively basic breakfast. The roof terrace is a plus. They do not have an alcohol license but you can buy outside and take drinks up. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This is a great base for wandering around Aix, which has a lot to offer.

We spent 3 great nights at the Globe. The room was spacious and clean, good bed. We haven't tasted the breakfast. Very well located in the old town, you can walk everywhere. We had to pay 17 EUR per day to keep our car parked in secured parking nearby. We were surprised we had to pay for tea or coffee given that we had none in our room (usually 3 stars hotels provide this) and were not advised this was not free when we ordered them at the reception. Also: make sure to let them know you want your room to be cleaned every day - we were surprised they hadn't cleaned ours on day 2 "because of Covid". Apart from that, the whole staff was very friendly and we will not hesitate to come back! The rooftop is a nice addition.

Stay would’ve been perfect except that the Hotel only has limited paid parking and I had to park on the street and pay parking meter. Overall the hotel is very good!!

Excellent stay at the hotel : the staff is really nice and welcoming, the hotel is clean and recently refurbished and the bedding is comfortable. Rooms are a bit small and walls not totally soundproof but it is a very good value for money. It is in the centre of Aix, walking distance to bars and restaurants.

The hotel is in a good location for waling to city center and many cafes and shopping. The staff could not have been friendlier or more responsive to our requests. The rooms were spotlessly clean with nicely updated bathrooms. This is not a luxury hotel, but has good amenities including optional on-site breakfast. I would stay there again should I be in Aix-en-Provence.

The reception/check in staff are wonderful! They asked how long we had to sight see and then drew a map of the sites to see! Both ladies were so helpful! Breakfast buffet was ok but is not included in price of room. It is convenient if you have to leave early and don’t have time to go out. The room was very modern and clean. We had a tiny balcony with a view. We would stay here again!

Really quality hotel for the price. Rooms are small, quiet, and clean, and the breakfast is reasonable. Free coffee/tea throughout the day as well. It was so convenient to be able to park at the hotel garage, especially considering the lack of parking in Aix-en-Provence in general. 15 Euro per night to park. The rooftop terrace was lovely! We ate up there every night. Although, it would be nice to have some lighting up there in the evening.

Great location, - in easy walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants, sights, bus station, train station, tourist information, etc. - yet very quiet and peaceful neighborhood - even close to laundromat for those who need to wash clothes. Good in-out parking access. for people with cars. Friendly, attentive staff. Very clean and modern rooms. Lovely roof terrace for relaxation. No frills, just good overall value for a comfortable stay in Aix.
