We stayed here last year and couldn't see a reason why not to overnight here again this year. The room worked well for one night with a three year old in his own bed. The staff were all welcoming, helpful, and pleasant. The restaurant is a highlight with great food and service. The hotel and grounds are well serviced and presented.

Very nice staff, breakfast, room, parking and garden. Only disappointment was the lack of rental bikes. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was very nice.

We stayed in a family room as a stopover on our way back to Caen. The hotel is well located for visiting Saumur, with good road links. The staff were all very pleasant and welcoming, and the restaurant was excellent. The hotel itself was well presented with good facilities. We would happily stay there again

Convenient stop near Saumur, but not much of a park. Understaffed for a busy weekend in August, and our room didn’t get cleaned on our 2nd day—they were a bit disorganized with housekeeping service.

The room is clean. We really like the family room with two levels of sleeping areas. The price is good and short driving distances to most attractions.

Only used this hotel as a stopover. I found there was plenty of parking, the staff were friendly and the food was good. The room was clean and comfortable and far enough from the road to be quiet. I would probably use the hotel as a stopover again.

We stayed here as a rest point on our travels further south. At first I was a little disappointed as it was further away from the town than I had expected. I was a little worried about our choices regarding eating. We decided that rather than drive into Saumur we would try the hotel restaurant and I am so pleased we did the food was excellent. The menu had plenty of choice and as the chef is the owner he can put his own mark on his dishes....delicious. All of the staff were friendly and we felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. I will certainly stay here again and would recommend to anyone. Of course being out of town has the added advantage of being a little quieter so we got a really good nights sleep before our long drive the next day. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so pleasant.

We had a fab stop over as family of 4 in room with mezzanine for the kids, which they loved. Clean, friendly, quiet, short drive into pretty Saumur, nice terrace for breakfast in the sun. Would use again. Staff really great too.

Stayed in Hotel du Parc for two nights in September. Overall had a wonderful experience. All hotel staff helpful and courteous. Hotel just on the outskirts of Saumur, making a very peaceful setting, about a twenty minute walk into the old town or five minutes by bike. We rented bikes from the hotel for a day and cycled along the Loire passing vineyards and fields of sunflowers part of the way. Breakfast was very good both mornings with crispy bread rolls, fresh fruit,an array of croissants and freshly squeezed orange juice. We had dinner there one night which was very good too. The only low point and I hesitate to mention it as we didnt bring it to the attention of the manager, but there seemed to be a strong smell of dogs around the outside of the hotel which prevented us from sitting outside on the lovely terrace. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it. One other major plus was the availability of several BBC TV channels which was the only hotel out of the seven we stayed in on our trip to France which provided them free of charge. Sometimes its the little things that mean the most.

I stayed for four nights on a short break from home and received a very warm welcome. The accommodation was well kept in all respects while the restaurant and bar service were fine with friendly and helpful staff. the location gives good access to Saumur and also the autoroutes.

A last day in France spent in Saumur, with overnight in the Hotel Du Parc. We were well looked after, given our different needs, from one year old twins and two other generations. The food was good, and the beds comfortable - if the rooms were a little on the small side.

This was a well run Logis hotel chosen by us as a 2nd stopover on a long drive back from Rome solely because it had a restaurant. These were few and far between in hotels we looked at and after a long day on the road we didn't want to go trekking off across the river looking for restaurants. I would equate it to a Premier Inn - not particularly pretty, but well presented, efficient, friendly and comfortable. We sat outside with a beer before having a pleasant dinner. Easy to find following satnav instructions although on the edge of a small business park/industrial estate, but just what we needed for one night.

Hotel was a couple of kilometres from the centre, but easily reached. Very friendly helpful staff. Room was really comfortable with efficient aircon, a wide opening window and electric shutters. A large screen TV even had some UK BBC channels on it, and free WiFi is available for those that need it. Restaurant was really nice, good service and beautifully cooked food. Large car park which is enclosed by barrier at night. Will definitely use it again next time I'm working in the area.

They spoke excellent English and made us feel that nothing was too much trouble.The rooms could have done with a kettle in the room as standard, but we emailed in advance asking if this was possible and it was supplied without question.The extra level in the room accessed via stairs provided privacy and additional space for our daughter. Unusually for many French hotels, the room could accommodate 4 people rather than three.

Logis de France with a good restaurant not far from Saumur. Private free parking and very good internet connection. The room was on the small side but clean and very comfortable. An excellent place to stop over on our way to Saintes.

Great stop over on our way up France the room was spacious anc clean, the boys were amazed to have English TV, the food in the restaurant was excellent if a little slow. and it wsjust off the moterway with no traffic noise. Car park was secure which was ideal for the bikes on the car.

A very friendly welcome and we were well looked after. Excellent menu for both the evening meal and great variety for breakfast.Some super local wines are on offer A little disappointed that the hotel is not within easy walking distance of Saumur and is near a commercial out of town site. The room did have a faint smell of tobacco but we can't decide if this was the wood stain on the stairs up to the mezzanine floor or not as there is a smoke alarm. All in all we were well satisfied with our stay and would return there.

After leaving a 4* Novotel which cost loads of money and the whole stay was a poor affair, this stay was perfect. Unpretentious but the service was wonderful. The restaurant dinner was one of the best weve had. All in all this was excellent value. Free parking to boot!!

We found that all the hotel staff to be courteous, friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was very good and well priced. On the down side the room sound insulation could have been better..
