I really enjoyed my time at Les Jardins de la Livrée. Jean-Paul was absolutely lovely & very helpful. The food served at the restaurant also is amazing.

Very much enjoyed our stay at Les Jardins. A quiet location but close walk to many restaurants and shops. It was especially helpful having a very reasonably priced laundromat across the road! Breakfast was a great way to start the day. Having a safe parking spot was helpful.

We'll definitely return to this little slice of paradise!

Such a lovely place! Le Jardins de la Livree is essence of Provence. My partner and I stayed three nights at Le Jardins during my trip to Provence, and I can see myself staying there indefinitely. :-) The place is beautiful; flowers and trees abound, and the building itself is an understated, calm beauty. The room I stayed in, Lavande, was decorated and scented with lavender and had a view of the garden. We had breakfast (French style) there every morning, and the pastries were perhaps the best we had in our entire trip. We also had dinner at their restaurant, and it was delectable! The innkeeper/manager was kind and welcoming and accommodating (he spoke English with us since we speak only basic French). It's been only a few days since I was there, and I am already planning to go back! Highly recommended.

Once in a while, you stumble into a gem. We stayed at this fantastic B&B for four 4 nights as a base to visit many sites in the area (Avignon; Orange; Nimes; Pont du Gard). This is a old property with just a few rooms. Amazing host who accommodated our late arrival following a robbery on our car. Due to limited number of guests because of COVID, he upgraded us at no extra charge in their best suite. Very large room with a very comfortable bed. Fantastic large bathroom with an amazing shower. Every detail has been thought out in this old property. Great continental breakfast served in the dining room. The Host was always jovial and talkative at breakfast, providing great useful advice on the surrounding areas. Beautiful gardens and pool. The only sad part is that the pool is not heated and was too cold for a swim (17C). Lovely cats on the property. Very secured property with closed gate. Located in charming village of Villeneuve-lez-Avignon (about 40 min walk to lovely Avignon). Highly recommended.

Great room, location and dinner. The location was very convenient as well.

The hotel is lovely. Our room was spacious, immaculate, and convenient. The restaurant was wonderful - dinners were excellent and the breakfasts were a delight. We ate outside most meals. The walk around the village from this hotel was easy and great fun. Not to be missed - La Chartreuse. Jean-Paul at the hotel was most accommodating. His english was much better than our french and he was very eager to make us comfortable.

Restaurant excellent. Room very nice. Pool water cloudy with some green so we didnt swim. Jean-Paul amazing host. Location superb. We opted to spend a day in Villeneuve-lez-Avignon to visit the fort and charterhouse. Note that the abbey gardens and museum are closed Mondays. Follow J-Ps adbice and park on island and bus or walk into Avignon.

We only stayed one night, but it was perfect for our needs. Quiet, clean and the pool was wonderful. Does what it says on the tin and very affordable and well-located for buses into Aix.

Jean-Paul, the owner was wonderful! Very helpful & friendly. The room was lovely with a great view of the citadel lit up at night - and the beautiful flowers & swimming pool in the yard. Also - a tasty breakfast and a fantastic restaurant for dinner.

This is absolutely lovely - the pool is beautiful and relaxing, the room comfortable and overlooking the garden and pool. The restaurant is excellent - wine and hors d’ouvres on the terrace, dinner inside. Breakfast petit was fresh croissant, breads, small amount of nice cheese, assortment of jellies in bowls, fresh Loquats from the tree outside. The owner provides maps of the historic sites in Villeneuve all in easy walking distance - don’t miss the Chartreuse! Just a perfect stay!

we stayed here for 4 nights. It was pretty to find and the location was great! so many restaurants in addition to the one at the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant was fantastic! Highly recommend it to use it as a hub and travel around Avignon!

Everything in village within easy walking distance, bus to Avignon itself (1.40E) one route, get off at the bridge, stay on to end of route for Train station (NOT TGV station, there is connecting train between stations every 30 mins, takes six minutes.)
There is a very nice pool and gorgeous patio shaded by vines for breakfast and dinner. Property is in fact also the best restaurant in town, very small (30 covers?) so never crowded, just for once taking the easy option of eating in is also the best option, food is cooked perfectly. So take a short walk into the town square, may be get a drink, walk past the other restaurants and back here for dinner, lovely.
Owner (very nice and always helpful) always speaks to guests, asks what they are doing that day etc, knows every bus, walk etc .
The village of Villeneuve is worth a trip itself, being outside of Avignon is a benefit, easy bus to see Pont, Palace D'Popes etc but in Villneauve, great castle, amazing formal gardens with historical palace, a large monastery lots to see. Enjoy.

A quiet neighborhood-just off the village center.Excellent breakfast on the outside terrace.Dinner available at hotel -Weds to Sun.Food excellent- regional and fresh with portions on the dainty side.Walking distance into Avignon across the river -or drive with ample parking just outside the walls of the old city.A great option if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Avignon itself yet still be within striking distance.

Jean-Paul is so friendly and we did have a great stay (2 nights) here. Free parking is convenient and the breakfast is good as well. We will come back the hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Les Jardins and would have no hesitation in booking this hotel again. The owner is extremely helpful and the hotel has a warm and friendly atmosphere. Villeneuve is a beautiful village and only 30 mins walk into Avignon. There are many attractions within the village, particularly if you are interested in medieval history. There are also some very good restaurants. Would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay rather than in the centre of Avignon.

We felt immersed in French life and culture staying at Les Jardins de la Livrée. Jean Paul was a wonderful host, always ready to assist with our plans for the day as well as serving a delicious breakfast and cafè au lait. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was easily the best French cuisine we have had. Jean Pauls brother Pierre, the Chef, and Sophie, his wife, cook and serve delicious Mediterranean food with Provençal ambience. Les Jardins is a family run gite that was so lovely that we extended our visit and stayed two additional days. We will return!

Lack of tea and coffee making facilities in bedroom is why not 5 stars. Jean Paul was very helpful and friendly asking us how our day had been and what we had planned and giving us advice.

We loved Avignon village. The location was so perfect, you can walk everywhere and was very convenient. The owners were very nice.

Lovely, small, unpretentious hotel with pretty pool area and very helpful owner. Breakfast was good. Room fine with good air con (it was very hot when we were there). Easy to get into Avignon on the bus.

Lovely hotel in a perfect location! We're so glad we picked this over staying in Avignon, as the village is so charming, quiet and only 5min on a bus (or 25/30min) walk from the Avignon. Hotel has a nice pool and the restaurant is really great! My sister and I stayed in the Lavender room, which has a cute and very Provence-like decoration. Bathroom is brand new with amazing shower and fluffy towels! Also super quiet air conditioner which is not always available in France hotels :) Highly recommended it!

A very comfortable room in a quiet location of a small village, full of historical sights yet within very easy reach of Avignon itself, and easy to explaore the region by car, or even by train.
Jean-Paul was kindness itself and made our stay so much more special. Breakfast was a delicious continental b/fast.
The only downside for me was the limited range of the free wifi, which did not reach our room, but this was only a minor inconvenience.
Highly recommended. The associated restaurant is excellent too.
Would stay here again, in spite of the Mistral and the mosquitoes!
