The power went out at the hotel at 10 p.m., and when we checked out at 8 a.m., it was still out. No one checked to make sure our stay was okay, and no reimbursement or return of any money was offered due to the inconvenience. We are disappointed in the property and management.

Our room was fine and the service was good. I found the breakfast a little more bare bones compared with other Hampton Inn. For example, apples were the only fruit and the yogurt selection was limited. But we managed to find enough to eat.

I wasn't expecting much from this hotel and I never leave reviews, but this hotel, was clean, organized, the room had a great floorplan to give me, my adult sister and Mom plenty of space. Everything worked, the breakfast was great as well!

Family of four with two kids. The kids loved the swimming pool. We went down three times during our 1 night stay. Breakfast was included, yay!!! Location was great. Hotel room was dirty and needed minimal maintainence. Staff at the desk was friendly.

It’s the little things like empty shampoo and body wash in the shower that are irritating. They were completely empty on the first shower. It’s even more inconvenient to have to call the front desk and tell them to please refill them. So I just dealt with it. Is this something that should be done as the room is being prepared for the guest?

There was never anyone at the front desk! From checkin to check out There was a line of people trying to find assistance Good breakfast. Pool area nice and clean Bed too firm Difficult to adjust temp in room

Breakfast options were limited during the weekend. Coffee had a bunch of grounds in it and the person monitoring the breakfast items did not replenish. Many items (milk, batter for waffles, boiled eggs, etc.) were only in very limited supply. Overheard two other families compaining of the same thing. The pool water looked green. Is that normal?

Check-in was 3pm. Didn’t get our room to almost 4pm. A/C wasn’t working correctly. Asked for a fan but they didn’t have any. Had to go to Walmart and buy one. Room smelt like burnt grease two of the night de stayed there. Room was always humid as well. Front desk pretty rude and non helpful.

It was very average, thought would be nicer place to stay in Salida and they just missed the mark. My expectations are pretty reasonable but the basics were pretty bad. Bathroom was dirty, hair in corners, shampoo dispenser missing the top, had to ask for another one, conditioner was standing in the soap tray, one towel for the shower/bath, some trash in the trashcans. The stay was fine but definitely seemed like no one really cared when cleaning and put the room back together…….would probably stay somewhere else.

I've now stayed her twice this year (2024). The first time our room and other spaces seemed well cleaned, but this time the pool deck was very dirty and clearly had not recently been cleaned and our room seemingly only had the sheets and trash changed out--the bathtub and floor had prior guest's hair obviously left behind, there were only a couple towels, and we kept finding things on the floor with our bare-feet--it clearly had not been vacuumed. We'll be finding somewhere else to crash in Salida from now on and recommend you do to0.

Great rooms, clean and spacious. Pool/hot tub was nice. Not overly chlorinated…hotels are famous for dumping too much chemical when they don’t know what they are doing. All in all we will rebook down the road

Everything was perfect except the coffee machine broke, which they couldn't help. It was especially great that the hotel is directly across the street from the best steakhouse in Salida, Quincy's.

Ski trip to Monarch with the kids and grandkids. Third year. Great hotel. Very comfortable, clean, and accommodating. Kids loved the pool and workout facilities. Only complaints were that the cleaning crew ignored our “Do Not Disturb” sign one day (manager apologized and assured us it wouldn’t happen again) and the bed platform creaked every time you moved (hopefully isolated incident). We plan on staying there again!

This property looks great, maybe even remodeled recently. However, when we got to our room, my wife pulled back the comforter only to find hair (pubic) in the sheets. The sheets obviously had not been changed from the last occupant/s. We called the desk, got new keys to the room next door and it seemed fine. I opened the microwave to heat some broth for my wife who just had surgery and was on a liquid diet, and the glass turntable was covered with pizza drippings. The young man at the front desk was nice enough, but didn’t think to offer any remedy when I told him about the dirty microwave or that the toilet was constantly running. We will definitely look for another place to stay next time.

This was our second stay in two years, and we will continue to come back. Staff is always helpful and courteous, room was excellent (the family suit) and comfortable for all five of us. Breakfast was great, even though the waffles were out of service. Only problem is that the pool area still has a strong sewage smell, not as bad as last time we were here but still needs attention.

The hotel was great. The breakfast selection was good and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. The only thing I would recommend is better maintenance of the front parking lot, it was frozen and pretty slick.
