This is our 3rd time here & it wasn't as wonderful as we remembered. The bed was noisy & hard & bouncy at the same time. My lamp didn't work, there was old food under the bed. The toilet needed 2 flushes to completely take away stuff. Needless to say, we wont be back.

Very basic hotel in the middle of Manhattan. Rooms were neat with platform bed (no boxspring) with very hard mattress. Furniture was of the pressed wood variety. This is a value hotel, not luxury. Breakfast was included (bagel or muffin and coffee). Front desk was efficient, and bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water and water pressure.

The only good thing with this hotel is location. Room was smelly and carpet dirty and shaggy. Everything is outdated. With the exeption of one cleaming lady who was nice and friendly, the rest of staff was not pleasant or helpful. I asked porter if can help me to carry one luggage amd 2 big bags to my room at 4th floor and he said rude”No” amd took away the big cart, so I had to carry myself all mentioned luggages in spite I am 65 years old. The breakfast is a Zoo, stiff baegels and muffins that a lady limits the servings. Not enough coffee, sugar or milk. The bathtube did not drain. You have to be taller than 6 feet to be able to use magnifing mirror in the bathroom. To use hairdryer, it was a long extension cord over the sink. I was yelled by a staff person when I tried to go to the public restroom in the lobny, because he was just vaccumed the area. The room rate does not justify the horrible experience that we had in this hotel.

I was initially put in a room with no decorations, no curtains, a rock hard bed, and a great amount of noise due to being on the street. The renovated bathroom was not quite finished so there was no shelf for soap and shampoo in the shower. It was unacceptable. When I asked for another room, I was told that was not possible. When I started searching for another hotel for the rest of my stay, another room was found. It had a painting, was off the street, had a curtain, and a somewhat softer bed. There was a generator outside the window but it made much less noise than the cars on the street. I would not stay at this hotel again given that their standards are so low that they actually offer that horrible room to customers.

Friendly service. Loved that they offered luggage hold. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Great location!

I traveled for a trip with friends. Got a room with 2 double beds, that were very comfortable. The room was spacious enough for 4. Didn't have a view, the window was giving on the AC units outside, but the plus was that there was no NY city noise in the night! The hotel was clean, we had all amenities in the room (shampoo, shower gel, towels changed every day...). The greatest plus was also the location! 3 metro lines nearby, 1 block from the High Line, city center. I will return!

The hotel is superbly located on the corner of 23rd street and 7th avenue, right next to the subway entrances and local dinings/fast food. The hotel is close to many interesting places that can be reached on foot (i.e. Times Square about 20 minutes, Friends studio max 15 min). The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful, both the people at the reception and those preparing breakfast and cleaning staff. The rooms are comfortable, of normal size - our room had two large beds where we could easily fit with two children. There is heating/air conditioning. The bathroom with a bathtub with shower. The furniture and decor is quite old but it is clean, so we did not need more. The room has a tiny refrigerator and a desk with a chair. For breakfast ( served only from 8-10 am) there are only bagels and huge muffins in various flavors, butter, Philadelphia cheese and various jams. Of beverages there is coffee, tea, water and cocoa. There is also a microwave in the dining room so you can heat up something during the day or in the evening.
We enjoyed staying at this hotel - not excellent but very nice standard and the price was reasonable as well. Special greetings for Polish staff:)

Hidden gem!
Perfect for family visiting NYC!
Friendly and welcoming staff!

Breakfast is a disaster. I had to wait 30 minutes in line for a bagel. Good bagel though but they need to organize better.
When you first turn on the water, it comes out brown.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating and I appreciated that. However the hotel is old and the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in.

room decor was dated. beds hard. paper thin walls, could hear other guests. HOWEVER, the price, location to metro (less than a minute from the subway), lots of eating places (fast food and nicer places). Also. the service was professional and helpful. one more thing, the owner owns a bakery i heard and the free breakfast offered includes huge muffins (choices lots) and fresh made huge bagels (yum) with coffee.

I took my boyfriend for a nice romantic 2-days in the city. Couldn’t have been any better. Great location, atmosphere and staff. I would recommend to friends in the future.

The room was perfectly adequate for my son and I when we visited NY overnight. No frills, a bit outdated but very clean and reasonably priced. Great part of town.

Good value! Beds were clean and rooms were tidy!

The staff is friendly, the bagels and muffins are great, and the location is great as well. The room condition is fair, but it was clean and made for a decent stay.
While cleanliness is my most important hotel criteria, which this hotel meets, it was frustrating that some conditions of the room were ignored. The tub was rusty, the sink faucet leaked, the furniture was mostly broken and worn, and there was no room darkening shade (even though there was a track above the window for one). This, to me was the biggest downgrade.
The bed was clean but very firm, and the pillows rather thin, but again, clean is king for me.
Overall, I think this is decent hotel and worth consideration, but given the volume of hotels in the city, it would not be my top choice just due to little things that they could easily repair. For the price, I was satisfied overall.

I love this hotel. I have stayed here multiple times over the last 10 years or so. I’m never disappointed in the comfort or cleanliness, and you can’t beat the location.

The area and staff were amazing, however the actual room was not the best quality, good deal for the price though :)

Excellent location, lovely hotel to stay in when you just want a nice place to sleep at night. Basic breakfast but it’s all you need to keep you going until lunch. Would stay again when I return.

This hotel was perfect for our stay and we enjoyed it very much. Perfect location to stay in New York. Easy access to subway and walkable to everywhere!!

It’s my second time there. In my opinion it’s one of the best places to stay if you need a clean quiet and spacious room in Ny. The price worth it and the staff is nice

Don’t judge the book by its cover. Even when is a little old property with no luxury at all this is a GREAT place to stay. Room and bathroom are clean and is super convenient, almost in the middle of the NYC action. You can walk virtually anywhere from the hotel. Almost all major attractions are within 16-27 minutes walking. Definitely worth it. Breakfast is coffee and pastries.

Nice comfy beds, quiet if your room isn’t facing the street. Good muffins and bagels too.

Good hotel for first part of trip. Only wish that pillows were a bit fluffier.

perfect location right by subway stop, close to theatre district and greenwich village. very affordable

This hotel is good for the location. Rooms not the more updated but it's great for a quick trip for a few days. The only thing I recommend is not to use such bright lights in the room. It's like being in a hospital and had to put towels over them to make it dimmer. No fluorescent lights please.

I would use them again. They were clean, centrally located if you use the subway, all around good. My only complaint was a slight amount of rust in the tub near the drain and slightly worn lobby.

This was perfect! Family trip and we could walk everywhere. Super friendly staff and a great, clean room. Highly recommended!

1/28 @ 10pm. The front desk guy was giving attitude about uber eats delivery that I should have gave my name and room number. I was supposed to meet the delivery guy at the door but he was late for an hour so i fell a sleep. I mean a polite and nicer approach would make a difference for a hotel customer. Good customer service. It’s disappointing. Im already upset with late delivery of my food and he is making it worse.

The bathroom bathtubs having leaks going to hallway to the room the front desk approached me to transfer the room but i decided not to because all my stuff are out so hopefully next time they can fixed this matter all the staff are nice and friendly the area is near the bars 🚊 shopping center etc

Even tho its advertised as "continental breakfast" its "complementary breakfast" which is only bread of two kinds, muffins and bagels, theres coffee, water and water with lemon slices (didnt taste like lemonade at all). The hair dryer in my room didnt work, the main light didnt work, had to use the bedside lamps, both the light in the bathroom and the one right at the entrance door would flicker when turned on, the AC unit is barely enough to heat up the room even though its not big. There was a vending machine out of order in the cafeteria, which was heated up with individual heaters, the cleaning lady was nice
